You seem to be bigging up the protest and you talk about yourselfs on the roof. However, whenever I walk past the school each day there is no-one to be seen.
Marxists, Communists & Socialists have a long and proud history of standing shoulder to shoulder with the community and anti fascist struggles, as well as trade unions. Our flag/banners didn't stop you nor anyone else from attending! Stop this sectarianism and lets continue to organise parents and seeking the support of political parties, community groups & trade unions whatever their political leanings. This isn't an election, its a fight for our children's education!
The campaign has a problem to support it you have to stand next to the hammer and sickle flag and its attendant marxists who seem to be using this opportunity as a means of heightening the profile of their own ideology. Its a shame, and its no wonder few parents attended the march on Saturday.
Good luck with your campaign! Even after the council voted to close 22 out of 25 schools in Glasgow parents are vowing to fight on. They formed rings of protest around the schools on Monday and have various other plans to resist the closures. They also intend to campaign against the ruling political party at the next elections. They are no longer falling for the old trick of local politicians voting to save their own while voting to close others like what happened with the post office closures.
