  • COD4 ^^

  • are these buildings safe?

  • not by a long shot, they haven't been maintained for decades

  • Ohh...i still want to go there...looks interesting :)

  • Man, I'm dying to go there!

  • Not only You, I wanna go there too! ;)

  • I wonder if there really is a room number 26, where you can find a decoder in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game?

  • We also had to sign a contract before the tour started stating that we would not hold them responsible for anything.

The rules were mostly related to health risks. Avoid water puddles and avoid touching/eating the vegetation etc.

I think it's possible to enter the Chernobyl Power Plant area/Pripyat without a tour guide. But then you most likely would have to know Ukranian or Russian as English is not common. You also have to handle the paper work by yourself.

  • To get to Pripyat you have to pass through 2-3 checkpoints with guards. To get thorugh these you have to have contacted the authorities several weeks before and reported in your passport numbers. I do believe you also have to present some kind of travel plan for your trip inside the Chernobyl Power Plant decontainment are. We went with a small tour group (6-7 people) from Kiev the tour people arranged this.

  • i was wondering whats the protocol for entering the area is it ( at your own risk) or do they have certain rules ?
