Oh my gosh, MissChievous I NEVER comment on videos, but this review was so helpful!! I bought them without even watching the whole video first. There is a link on their website to purchase them on Amazon and they're extremely inexpensive. I bought 2 variety packs and it only cost me like $11 or something. Love your channel and your videos and thanks for reviewing these!!!
Mine do not dry fast enough with those guards on. Reason being it pushes all the brishels together packing them tight and air can't get into the stuff in the middle.
Works great for reshaping them once they are dry though. And I store mine with the guards on so they don't get frayed. Just wouldn't recommend drying them with the guards on.
I dont use anything to guard my brushes. I only reshape them after washing and place them on the paper towel and leave them dry. And they keep their shape !!! Of course, I keep them in a roll
Another way I drip dry my brushes upside down is to I took the magnet strips with the adhesive backing and stuck them on a ruler and tacked it to my wall, then place them upside down. The magnetic strips are very cheap and can be found at wal-mart or any office supply store, and it's a great way to dry your brushes.
I just got these, they make an amaazing differences in brush shape and density, very awesome. I will use them everytime I wash my brushes from now on.
Hey Julia! I ordrered the variety pack and they actually asked me where did I hear about them. So I mentioned your video , and they think you're awesome :)
just ordered some today! do you know of anything i can use for dual-ended brushes? i was thinking i could just cut some of these in half and slide each half on each end. ????
I seen EnKore's review of these last week and ordered some right away because they are so inexpensive. Thanks for the review for your subs who probably don't about them.
OMG!! I saw EnKore's review of these a little while age, but after watching your review I clicked your link and ordered these right away! And the ARE inexpensive!
You can make these "brush guards" yourself. I make my own out of regular writing paper for my bigger brushes to hold their shape. I can't use them while they're wet for obvious reasons, but I pop em in their paper sleeves as soon as theyre dry and they hold their shape just fine. But I'd still consider buying these brush guards.
I like to use the 2nd from the Largest for my 187 and the smallest for my 217. They fit just great and dry fantastically. The 217 works awesome when it's compacted so tightly!
its a cool idea but i think ive seen somthing like that in home depot, that is mesh and flex-y like that.... i think money can be saved if you find somthing like that in a hardware shop.
i have never heard of these before, but will definitely look into buying some. is there something you can recommend for double-ended brushes? i tend to use those more than regular brushes and would love to travel with them, but think it's unsanitary to just toss them into a cosmetic bag all together without anything to protect and keep the bristles clean. thanks in advance and thanks for a great review.
julia plz do a nail tutorial i dont get so much time to go other websites so i watch you tube most of the time ,so plz take my request from here and do the nail tut ,i absultley love the way you do ur nails .
I don't understand people like you!! If you watch this channel most of the time surely you have noticed that she has ALREADY done a nail tutorial (which by the way was very helpful!) Seriously, do a bit of investigating before you do a request, if I was Julia I would despair!!
well i think people who watch her payed attention to what she s saying more including myself ,what i notice other than what she says is ,is her beautiful hands and nails .
It just irks me that she is giving you all this information and has all the links in the side bar and you still ask idiotic questions.. like seriously
yeah it is cool if u watch encore he already mentioned it long time ago ,i didnt even know cause he also told some really cool ways to use these .u should check his videp out .well u ve mentioned it is really cool for travelers.
I have these and have had them for about 6 months and I love them! They are awesome. I am planning on ordering more because they are so useful. That tiny one will fit on a smaller eyeshadow brush. They really stretch A LOT. I use them even with my brush roll.
Do you not recommend squeezing the water out after washing? I squeeze gently but every time I do, I wonder how good it is. I take great care of my brushes, yet my 129 and 116 shed terribly. I actually returned the 129 for that reason. Now the 116 is doing it too, though not as bad. Anyway, I might try the flick method. I want them to last...
thats cool! Ive been wanting something like this for a while now. I usually use the plastic that comes with the brushes but this has holes so thats great!
I think even if you had a brush roll, when I had mine in one, specially the larger face brushes, the bristles would still get bent out of shape. So I think it would be worth it to put these on the brushes even when you have a brush roll.
When i got my dior backstage makeup brushes, they actually came with these. Apart from they are plastic, but i agree, they are great for keeping the shape and keeping them clean!
that was a very nice top and you looked very sweet in that. Thanks for the vid...I will check this product out...I think Enkore or Pursebuzz made a video on this some time back but thanks neway!

I always wondered if the brushes would end up stinking from drying them so tight.

The smaller ones are sooo stretchy, I do all my eye brushes in them, nice forming to any blending brush.

El cheapo replica is some bubble wrap.
lavinder11 2 years ago
I've been using bubble wrap for brush guards, and if I'm drying them, I wrap in tissue, then use my "el cheapo" brush guards, and voila! lol

How many times can you use each guard before you have to throw them out?
Starlightsixty 2 years ago
I can't imagine having to throw them out ever! lol Unless you rip one up by trying to stuff a too large brush in a smaller one or something
