  • they've been apart for how long? and this still shits on any indie thats been released in the last five years. for the people who cry out for more coxon, this is a brilliant tease, i bet you've played it back 50+ times.

  • Agree: this track has that indie sound, it makes you want to play and you can listen to it 50+ times.

  • For some reason this reminds me of Madness...

  • @willscomix

    That track by Deltron 3030?

  • although this is not blur at its best, I always find interesting whatever they do, they're some of the most creative musicians I've ever listened to.

  • They're the best, as always. . . Oh, how much I love them. . . My greatest dream is to have the possibility to see a gig. . . I wonder if it will ever be possible :(

  • boring stereo sound ...

  • Ah, Woolworths. That takes me back.

  • Good song but, call me a reactionary, it's crying out for a killer chorus!

  • WHAT A WONDERFUL TUNE. I AM HAPPY.

  • @ImBonkerz100 short answer is you cant. long answer is search google for a program called youtube downloader and use that.

  • @ImBonkerz100 short answer is you cant. long answer is you can download a program called youtube downloader (search google) whuch may help

  • Good song.........but hope they make a new record next time that sounds more original than their recent albums..........can bunch of 40 year olds still be cool?? Well U2 were cool 10 years ago, why not.

  • @itsherenownow U2 were cool 14 years ago when they released Pop. Blur's last three albums were very original, I think - and Blur were much cooler than when they started out. I hope there will be a new record some time. This song is fine but it could use a bit more of Coxon's guitar at the end.

  • @Dangerouselm - What!? Blur are massive in the UK lol... You still hear them played and the radio.. in pubs...

  • I was so happy when I first heard this song. And my birthday is also on the first day of April. :D

  • i went crazy when i heard this song at the cinema^^

  • the lyric is:

    consolidate

    the love we BEAR together

on a cold day in springtime

  • chida la rola

  • chida la rola

  • I love you T_T

  • 14 People hate pick n mix

  • @marklawrence99 that would be presuming that it refers to more than one fool. It may refer to just one, in which case it is correct.

  • Thank's to blur i have a fender obsession, and i sorta wet my pants after hearing this.

  • I need some time to relax life is jus a blur

  • Thank you Blur!!!

  • ohh good ~

do you know album this song is from ?

    its so lovely.. :)

  • @987bubbles987 it's not from an album, it was a specially recorded for the Record Store Day or something like that :)

  • @fernandass14

    ohh ok ~

D: i wish it was on an album

it would be cool to listen to ~

  • This makes me want to move to England. Pretty much all Blur songs do that to be of course. :)

  • @cauthoncrazy I wish people here actually listened to Blur tho :/ sadly not much people like blur here in england...

  • @Dangerouselm Bummer :(

  • @cauthoncrazy where you from?

  • hi I'm blur fans from Indonesia ... what this song is already in the form of a CD album?

  • Superb. Let's hope there's much more to come.

  • Thank you blur, you bring hope to my life, supreme british rock music is not over yet, nothing but best wishes for all of you listening to this piece of modern art!

  • Great song!!!! I can´t stop listening to it!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice....always good stuff

  • @Taq7 it doesn't matter if Mika is gay, the music is very similar. i could tell you that Damon is blonde and Mika's hair not, i don't know why you tell me about gays, are we talking about music or not?.

  • this is just my opinion, I didn't enjoy it... Love Blur, Gorillaz, specially TGTBATQ, this seems... dunno, repetitive? I don't enjoy the melody, I simply didn't enjoyed it...

  • one of the greatest songs i've ever heard of..

  • RELAX, TAKE IT EASY

FOR THERE IS NOTHING THAT WE CAN DO.

    RELAX, TAKE IT EASY

BLAME IT ON ME OR BLAME IT ON YOU.

    this is Mika, Relax.

  • the finest music you can get. fucking love damon

  • what an ending!

  • Genialne :P:P:P

  • Wasn't Battery in Your Leg a leftover track from the 1999 sessions that was put into Think Tank?

  • Brilliant!!

  • Fuck! Zajebiste :)

  • me encanto

  • I love that sing

Btw, i thought it is Gorillaz... Lol, i know, but that vocal...

  • Graham is the greatest guitarist to ever exist and Damon is a fantastic compositional writer. Alex James is also a great bassist. He reminds me a lot of Matt Sharp.

  • i like the solo thinggy.. .. its very adictive.. indeeed.

  • Great comeback !!

  • great song!!

    +1 for blur

  • awe to the some

  • als er hier stu bru luisteraars zijn. Zet dees nummer dan mr in uwen top 3 v d afrekening !!

  • oasis FUCK OFF

    BLUR RULES!

  • I.LOVE.BLUR!I.LOVE.DAMON.ALBARN!!!!!!!!

  • Beautiful. Melancholy rainy day guitar. And very English....

  • good song!!

  • okay this is reminding me of the good the bad the queen, cos damon voice is all different and so i guess being a massive blur fan, its something im never really going to be completely used to. this songs allllright. but. it seems kinda dead and rushed.

  • I can't wait for a new album. Ive been listening to blur since I was 14. Got all the albums. This band is much better then Oasis, a big hit around the world, but not so much in the U.S. Unfortunatly western culture leans too far toward rap and hip hop, meaning every suburban white boy will have at least a Gorillaz album. Nothing wrong with that per say, however there is no variety like this band on MTV. If they even show "Music Television" anymore............also glad Coxon is back.

  • @sk8board52 yawn

  • Sorry, but their miles in front of Oasis, and i LIKE Oasis alot !!

  • @Broomehall Yes but that is because Oasis have'nt done anything relevant for years!!! Apart from their drunken fans who midlessly follow their every release of an album that always turns out to be dissapointing.

They release good singles but their albums........??????????? no chance!!!!

  • @overandoutgovt At their peak Oasis were a force to be reckoned with, i dont think anyone would deny that, however Blur seem to have eclipsed them as far as creativity and longevity are concerned, hate to say it but rarely listen to Oasis now but delight in Blur and Damon's Gorilaz and after seeing "No distance left to run" i changed my mind completely about them, mature accomplised artists without the swaggering bravado of Liam that frankly is just boring now, bit like the records...........

  • @Broomehall Yes well Oasis have not released anything good for a long time, they release one single and then the rest of the album is absolute dirge, and I thought Be Here Now was okay, just overhyped and its not like they could'nt of gone on to do more later - but they were right in saying they should of gone away after Knebworth in hindsight... and I thought they would come back better than ever after Heathen Chemistry

  • looks like damon albarn can do no wrong in the past years.. demon days lp, good the bad and the queen, plastic beach and now this..

  • Che copiaticcio indecente! Musica vecchia fritta e ri-fritta!

    What a pity copy!

    ---->

sounds like SPACER - SHEILA & THE B DEVOTION

  • " just a bell hangs on " - Lol listen to what he's saying ffs.

  • great song....can't stop listening to it

  • non mi piace, un po' lagnosa

  • Only Blur could get away with a Woolworths reference.

  • @DigitalLoveDaftPunk What do you mean?

  • @IWontGetOvertheDam Blur are the quintessential British pop band. Only the genius of a Damon Albarn could pull off a reference to a now defunct and, let's be honest, crap high street store and still sound cool.

  • @DigitalLoveDaftPunk I had to Google it. I'm not British so I didn't know about the store and it's history. :P

  • @DigitalLoveDaftPunk

About time people say these things about the best british band since... Kinks?

  • @DigitalLoveDaftPunk BLUR are rubbish

  • @yodasling Mad that Oasis sucked ass after Morning Glory?

  • @FellowMusicFan1

    completely incorrect

'the masterplan' is better than most Blur albums, a flawless record.

Be here now has recently gained more recognition as a good album (like the second coming for the stone roses), The only album I think is without merit is Heathen Chemistry. Critics have been sticking the boot in because they got buuthurt after giving Be Here Now perfect reviews across the board, when it was merely good, and a step down from the classics that preceded it.

  • @TheMrbollox

It's meaningless to compare them, which are of completely different style. What's more, the critics is not always so right. You've also seen them changed minds over time. If you believe in that so much, there are so much albums that get even higher receptions. But does that really mean they are the best? Music is not that objective and easy to judge.

  • @Eeli2008

exactly there is no such thing as a bad or good album, it all about whether you like it or not. For instance I can't stand much pre 1997 Blur which is more critically acclaimed, I prefer the self titled lp, 13 and think tank.

  • @TheMrbollox

Oasis Won The Battle But In The End Blur Won The War........

  • @JCVDbaby

more like other way round, Albarn tried to play the game but ended up chewing on his own bait.

  • @TheMrbollox

Oasis were just a one trick pony which got boring very quickly.

  • @JCVDbaby

    Opinions are a serious business.

    take care

  • @TheMrbollox

Indeed. That's why the person who first came up with them is very rich.

  • @JCVDbaby

Blur won the Battle AND the War! hahaha peace!

  • A bold claim, but it 's single of the year for me.

  • These guys HAVE to record as much as they can NOW! They are still on fire!!!

  • Nice song, a bit of pixies in there I think !! Like it a lot !

  • @fatdazday the solo sounds so pixies.

  • Cool song.

  • this song has the same melody as that song from the 80's "I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight"

  • @DestroySweater no way....

  • @DestroySweater

At first I thought wtf no it doesn't but directly after listening to this song I was thinking of the song "I just died in your arms tonight". You're right

I think they're both brilliant songs.

  • @Scorp2k7 of course im right.

  • that is soo blur

it's very nostalgic, but is great that after all these years

    they made a song ^^

  • Wow, this is really going back to their Parklife (and pre-Parklife) sound. Fantastic. Even sounds a bit like Madness

  • Albarn> thom yorke

  • @zackshannon23 lmao mate you got it down!

  • Can you please send this to me?

Stupid computer won't load up the site. /:

    Please??!

    I love it! DX

  • good we're waittin for BLUR again!

    cheers

  • oooh love this song,, love the coxon's guitar play in the end of the song,, simple but catchy,, i miss this band a lot,, brilliant!!

  • this track like a farewell from blur.

  • @THEkvartz Damon said that they have more songs, it's far from farewell mate. Damon's busy with gorillaz and a new opera at the moment. New blur album next year.

  • @minimaja81 thnx mate, didn't know it.

  • poor effort Albran and Co. B-side quality. It says nothing to me about my life...

    Slapdash....Where's the damn chorus lads?

you can do better than this....

  • without effort, beautiful song !!!

  • BLURULEZ!

  • I love how they quote Alec Eiffel!

  • too addictive

  • Demasiado adictiva!

  • I ♥ BLUR. a lazy song to all the lazy cunts, just like me:D

  • This song just gave me an awesome idea!

  • @superstereogirl What was the idea?

  • @DannyJiggles We're doing a project at my college at the moment about coatbridge. I am going to make a slideshow/video about coatbridge and use this song for it. The pictures are going to fit the lyrics.

  • @superstereogirl Sounds like a fitting idea to the song.

  • @superstereogirl im from coatbridge :D thats weird man

  • @piralewis I like Coatbridge :) we probably walked past each other before

  • they are back :D

  • have i stepped in a tardis?!

  • Good god I've listened to this about 15 times now. It's so freakin' good. The bass, the guitar, drums and, of course, lyrics and vocals. I'm glad they got together to make this single and hope that this is a taste of things to come!

  • plz plz plz Do another album albarn

  • BLUR IS THE BEST 90's BAND!!!!!!!

And this song is really good... XD

  • Ever noticed that the word 'TV' is mentioned in many Blur songs? Really!

  • @MsSelma90 so fuck

  • Cool. They've outlived oasis.

  • I heard on MTV that Gorillaz have sold more CDs with their first two albums than everything Blur released put together. Could that be true? Blur sold a lot back in the day......

  • @Agent00Soul At least in America that is true, which is cool/disappointing depending on how you look at it

  • @Agent00Soul The first Gorillaz album sold 7 million so that's true. It's no surprise Gorillaz sold more, Gorillaz broke the american market. The Great Escape peaked at 2 million if I can remember correctly.

  • Graham Coxon is finally here to keep it locked down so Damon doesn't over produce the sound. Now this is Albarn at his best when he's with his mates.

  • this is fucking brilliant..

  • This is better than new Gorillaz!

  • 歡迎回來!!BLUR!!

  • damon albarn's gift for melody is astonishing.this, predictably, is gorgeous.

  • fucken tune,,,,hits from the bong.....

  • You can live the rest of your life in a park with your conscience.

  • I JUST DIEEEEED IN YOUR ARMS TONIGHT

  • mm its ok...

  • @Fiaganja good one

  • anyone know where this was recorded?

  • That was pretty good. A nice suprise, Damon, cheers.

  • @BeanStovi Every Blur record was a surprise, since Popscene! :)

  • The one thing I loved about Blur and especially Damon Albarn was his ability to always finding emotionally devastating vocal hooks...

  • welcome back!! Blur!!!

I was really looking forward to their new song.

thank you for sharing it! awesome.

  • I don't get it. They are making a new album? or the "Fool's Day"... ah right I see what they done there.

  • I already knew this, BLUR is better than oasis .....

  • This is a tune, first time I heard it I loved it (as I love their older tunes). It's just very Blur, but modern!

  • @reptilia82 lol rythm is kinda similar

  • God I ove Blur!! Please Please Please release an album/EP/LP/Demo?!

  • Nice song... :D

  • The best thing about Blur is how Damon and Graham both have a constant progression to their sound. Individually Damon has his Mali Music and Gorillaz influences and Graham has finely honed his shredding skills with wonderful solo albums making this a nice evolution of Blur's sound over the years. This is going to be a great album! Yes, sir, I like it!

  • spettacolare

  • i'm a blur-fan but this song...:( sorry.

  • @miaauuw then you can't be a Blur- fan!
