Also, amazing game. Though I was a tidbit surprised at the lack of drones for Hyuk. I'm never sure how the pro's manage to build such massive armies with such minimal resources at times. He should really have saturated his bases.

@sc2ai That's true. I have more fun playing SC2 (partly because it's easier than BW) but I find watching sc2 matches so boring. Maybe it's because there aren't any pro matches happening yet or maybe it's because sc2 needs more tweaking. Or maybe it's because sc2 is too easy.

Well, individual players may switch over, but I'm quite sure most of the broodwar proteams are contractually bound by kespa.

Meanwhile, GOMTV has an exclusive deal with Blizzard on SC2, so it looks like those monthly tournaments will be the only SC2 televised content in Korea.

Well, the biggest problem the older great players have is the demanding mechanics in broodwar.

Starcraft 2 may also have a lot of demanding mechanics, but with the ability to issue queued orders, multiple buildings assigned to hotkeys, being able to rally workers directly to minerals ...

Players that don't have the best broodwar macro but amazing micro might dominate the Starcraft 2 scene. Players such as Boxer.

@Danceofmasks I think this is potentially a dealbreaker for me till I watch professional korean SC2. The crappy AI of BW just made it so much more demanding on multi-tasking, separating the men from the boys. I love SC2, but I think a lot different maps need to come out until we see truly awesome games.

Well, if you're interested in seeing just how awesome competetive SC2 can be, in particular the micro stunts you can pull off, you should check out the finals of the king of the beta tournament on Day9tv.

@Danceofmasks I've watched most of the competitive SC2 tournaments and the magic's still not there. Their play is imperfect. I can spot mistakes sometimes even I wouldn't make. The closest to pro BW I've seen are the occasional Check or Sen games.
