Guys look on youtube "Fury of the Sunwell Trailer" and u will see how high elf's become blood elf's, kael like sylvanas was high elf and was with aliance, play "human campaign" in "Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne" and u will see
They are both the best in my opinion characters in WoW. Sylvana with her ruthlessness and the will to dominate all of lordaeron(well what used to be of it). But you cannot forget that it is Arthus who wields Frostmourne and killed her. Also He is the original owner of Sylvana as he changed her into the Banshee. Well so I'l just go with Arthus. It shows sylvanas as being under control by the lich king, and the only reason she was able to free herself was cause the lich king was weaken by the attacks of illdan. @Sckhull The High Elves would respectfully disagree about them being the same as Blood Elves. The High Elves learned to overcome their addiction to arcane magic, while the Blood Elves fell deeper into the throes of their addiction, even to the point of living off Fel magic to get their magical "fix".

@calynbug12111 You're right that Sylvanas is a high elf, but the Night Elves came first. The Kaldorie, children of the stars, became intelligent when approaching the Well of Eternity, which they began to channel, corrupting a select few of the Night Elves, turning them into High Elves, who were then separated from the night elves in the speration of the continents.

@Leeroy4591 not fully correct. by losing the might of the well of etenity and the using of arcane magic which were banned by the nightelves they turned to their blighter skin to high elves. the well of etenity is NOT the sunwell. The well of etenity was in kalimdor, in Azshara. the sunwell is in quel'thalas

Maybe she's not blood elf but if you paid attentoin in warcraft story you should knew that high elves were night elves before they came to azeroth.

@darazzin slyvanas is arrogant and the way she is, because she lost everything too arthas. she doesnt care much of anything but her own people, she is 1 of few leaders that will stand up too hellscream and not fear him.. not too mention the lich king himself. in away she's much more of a leader for the horde than the orcs..

@awaker200 She is arrogant and snap even before she lost everything, her own attitude is the reason arthas slaughtered most of the high elves when he attacked quelthalas and it is she who underestimate the undead forces at first sight and bitterly swallow the result. (sources: wc3 and "arthas" wow novel)

Reason why so many people like her better than all the other leaders is because
1: She is awesome
2:Literally half of northrend for horde was the forsaken. Howling Fjord basically was owned by the Forsaken.
3:She called Arthas a bitch.
