Why do people associate the universe with beautiful? I mean, granted its features are stunning & gorgeous but it is a deadly and vile place. Just being there is enough to kill you. As for this doom speak of yours, the Sun gets about 10 percent hotter every billion years, which would mean that the Earth would eventually become like Venus and Mars like Earth. This means that we need to get to Mars and prepare it for our arrival. Life would be shorter on Mars so population isn't a huge problem. We have more than enough problems to deal with regarding our own solar system let alone beyond..

Light of these galaxies takes 12 billion years to travel, so the images we saw are 800 million years old. Therefore if the universe was only a few thousand years old the pics shouldnt have shown anything.
