@monkiesan760 S4 has more effect knobs, buttons for the sample deck, and meters for each channel, only 2 deck and 1 mic in as aux. the NS6 has 4 deck and 2 mic ins with channel controls, much better jog wheels, better tempo sliders, better faders, is slightly bigger and heavier due to not being made of plastic. the NS6 also has quite a few other buttons for mixing that the S4 doesn't have, like pitch bend, dedicated reverse, beat grid controls, more loop controls.

did you map the bass knob as the filter? also can the faders be utilized as start faders? hows this piece of equipment overall, I have the torq xponent and feel i really gotta upgrade. i know pioneers ddjt1 and s1 looked pretty legit but i heard pioneer cut some corners and didnt put everything they could have in them. wish those damn cdjs werent so expensive...controllers will have to do for now
