The game is complex. Try to get new players who are not warhammer (or that kind) players and you will see. Specially 1942 versions, they are huge

I love this game but I wish there was a rule where you HAVE to keep at least 1 unit in a territory because otherwise by the end of the game there's like 50 units in 2 territories and nothing in any other parts of the board

dude we play 1 v 1 and finish it max. 3 hrs who ever plays it 5 hrs needs to play less conservative and attack more often... gezz anyone can pull back and fortify their capital and just buy units and move ships the hole time.

I've only played the second edition, but I swear we could never finish a round in less than an hour. Great game, but don't make any other plans that day.

i played with ym friends and we did a 5 player match and we stayed up for 15 hours, and we were ony half way through since everyone but russia was still alive and prospering, and then we quit after 15 hours cuz we knew it was guna take a few days to finnish lol

Three to five hours? I have played some quick games - five to six hours, but this game is generally an eight to ten hour game, if not longer.

A couple of friends and I just went splits on the latest anniversary addition. The rule and gameplay adjustments were great.

Axis and Allies is definitely not a board game for beginners...

Usually when the game keep going.. usually its easy to lose track on what you are doing.. and once you are lost.. thats where your enemy kills you..

I agree if you want a game with quicker action.. then play something else.

eh i completely disagree i find i can pick this game up any time and play. in fact me and my dad leave it set up for days and not play and then we'll play a week then elave it were it stops :)

However sadly my play mates dont really have the kind of time you have.. so have to finish the game all in 1 go.. which is really tiring.

Yes you are very lucky to be able to go to a store and play Axis and Allies. LOL what the guy did at the end of this video is what my little brother does in the middle of the game. Gets me so mad lol.

go to triplea,sourceforge,net to play axis and allies against people all over the world. In java, so it don't matter if you have mac, linux or windows

This game isn't that complicated. It's a good starter game for the more complicated strategy war games out there.
