Great! I first met Dr. Ma in his UCLA public speech in 1990 when I studied and worked there. I sincerely hope that under President Hu and Dr. Ma's leadership, we, all Chinese, can greatly improve the peace and trade relationships, freedom, democracy, and human rights in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other parts of China.

我支持geworfenheit的发言可能这是位台湾的朋友，就算暂时统一不了也没关系，可以和中共先谈判给台湾一定的国际空间，两岸都回到一个中国来，不要搞台独呀，虽然中共独裁也不是搞国家分裂的借口。

台独有两种，一种是要脱离中华民族和文化；另一种是，则是坚持中华民国的主权独立，要和中共政权做一区隔的台独。前一种是数典忘祖，后一种则是坚持中华民国的民主共和。而台湾大部分人都是坚持中华民国。所以台独≠分裂。说台独就绝对等于分裂的是中共的统战阴谋。

目前兩岸還是互不承認的狀態, 說起來真悲哀...
希望未來能循兩德或兩韓模式,
互相承認, 並在大陸民主化後,
且台灣民意多數支持下(通過公投), 逐步走向統合.
倘若民意不通過, 兩岸也能以其他合作模式,和平共處,互惠互榮.
但我個人是期待民主統合的.
