what a voice, & this lady has music in every inch of her, her whole body alive to the music, every slightest nuance, inflection & beat. Nowhere more evident than on "Everybody's Angel" (1991) - every single track on it is a minor masterpiece of writing & singing, simply awesome production, brass/strings adding an almost classical counterpoint to th sharp guitars & keyboards, such a pleasure - how is it that so little of her great stuff, & not even a single track off this album, is on YouTube?

Celebrate her. I was once a fan club member. I grew up[ with Tanita in my ears. We are probably the same age. So gifted and such an accomplished singer and songwriter. Saw her in concert once in Dublin. Always love. I hope she is well and happy.

Well, she does do it for me, especially on the album that this song first appeared, i.e. "The Sweet Keeper", which is a gorgeous collection of songs, very few of which have ever been uploaded to YouTube. Along with Joan Armatrading, she's my favourite British singer-songwriter, and both are class acts. Too bad that Tanita is mostly known only for "Good Tradition" and "Twist in My Sobriety"; she's much more than that as a songwriter. :-)

she is a good artist .. i really only always loved the two hits GOOD TRADITION an TWIST ..cos i remembered em on the radio when i was a kid .. an naturally when i asked my mam who it was a year or so ago i downloaded em ... an now im hearing all these classicson youtube an thinking i am becomming a fan .. shes a quality artist an shoulda had more success after the hits .. cos she is better than most who had huge continued success .. anyone know if she is gigging or recording these days?
