nope thats actually half right yes it does void warranty if you send it to Sony with a custom firmware which would make you stupid because they would know !! but you can always ether downgrade to 1.5 firmware through recovery or you can use pandoras battery and memory stick to downgrade to a legit firmware like 1.5 then send to Sony and have them fix it !!!

Ohh and correction my other theory is mainly good for the phat psps since they are the only psps that fully support 1.5 firmware BUT since I mentioned a psp slim it wouldn't downgrade to 1.5 in this case it would have to be like 3.60 firmware or another higher firmware and this can be done with desperatar cementario (all versions !!)

sorry i just sold it yesterday but i still have a psp entertainment pack same as value pack brand new with 1.5 if your interested its basically the same thing just not shuffle and no cleaning cloth and no umd demo but in the entertainment pack u get a gig instead of 32mb and a game and movie in the bundle and i also sold the games as well so thats done as well ill prob make a new vid today showing what i have left and ill pm u :)
