  • 100% of religions had to do with religions. Thumbs down this shit now.

  • @shwat17 Wtf?

  • Yeah, family guy is def ran by hardcore atheists who try so hard to press there beliefs onto others, by incorporating them into there shows lol

  • talking about WAR

religion is a tool, but not the cause of wars.

like science , remenber hitler use science to prove racial superiority.

  • @tjbayliss SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO true.

  • @arl1991 It was because emperor Nero used them as a scapegoat for the fire of Rome which was rumoured he started it...more to do with politics than religion the Romans were very accepting of other people Gods.

  • There's no point debating the content of this video anyway.

Because whether religion is the cause of wars or not, doesn't matter.

The fact is, Religion is mis-education. Therefore, it's wrong.

You wouldn't want someone teaching you that 2+2=5 would you?

So why should anyone believe the ridiculous nonsense that comes from religion.

    It's exactly the same thing.

Either you are educated properly, and know the truth, or you are religious.

    Religious People = Brainwashed People

    Same thing.

  • Before christianity there were plenty of religions, there has always been religions. the ancient egyptians the greeks the romans everyone!!!! this doesnt make sense!!!!!

  • @arl1991 They are trying to say that Christianity caused alot of wars and deaths, which it did. crusades, inquisition, etc. ur right bout egyptian religion, not bout greeks and romans.

Old testament was way before them. And people werent killing each other over those religions either, it was all about conquered lands. It did come to force assimilation when different religion people were conquered though but like I said- it wasnt the cause.

  • @k3rc4 well the romans killed alot of jews and christians for being non believers in the colliseum just for a laugh, its always happened this way. wars of religion have been fought for centuries

  • Comment removed

  • @softan sort of yes, sort of no. Money is simply a stand in for trade goods. Virtually all wars have been, to some extent, about resources.

  • Every war is started by greed.

  • True story...

  • Typical American mentality, Christianity and Islam are the only religions on the planet.

  • religion in a nutshell

  • So... no one killed each other over their differences until faith in God came into existence? No. Doesn't make a damn bit of sense.

  • Let me just say, it is true that religion has started many wars. But there's no need to bash religion though. Fighting wars is just human nature. If religion never existed, humans would just fight over something else. We could start fighting over money, or land, etc.

  • BIblically Accurate ;p

  • i died laughing when this aired, i love when family guy bashes religion

  • Religion wars on the internet in a nutshell.

  • This video is so true!

  • wars arent religion's fault, its the idiots who interpret it wrong

  • :/ Well fuck all of you, guess some ppl in here can't show their opinions at all, if they do they will only be told bunch of shit and being wronged, so fuck all of you arrogant and inmature fools

  • Someone needs to send this to Rick Perry.

  • Can't take it seriously

  • @TheBodyGuard32, Did I ever mentioned he is actually protecting us? No I didn't, I said make us fill protected ignorant idiot, I was talking to people in general who believes that, (also includes me) of course not everyone agrees, and obviously theirs some idiots out there that some how have the need to tell me how wrong I am but that's their opinion, besides why ask me that? Ask a priest or whatever, I'm not here to answer all you questions, and I don't fill being to espesific to idiots who ca

  • its pretty funny how an argument about religion can be started by 1 family guy video that bases most of its skits on sterotypes :I

  • How about everyone just worries about themselves.

  • This is stupid, everyone needs to believe in something with no exceptions, we have to think someone with great power is out there protecting us, and without no religion the world would be total crisis, most religions talk about salvation after death, thats why a lot of ppl live nice decent life's, that's what they want after death

  • @Trokkune You make me sick. I'm an atheist and I'm not afraid of dying. Saying we "HAVE to think someone with great power is out there" is completely stupid. There would be no crisis without religion or general beliefs, because everyone would see each other as equals.

  • @Trokkune If there is some dude out there in the sky protecting us then tell me this, why do people die everyday? INNOCENT PEOPLE? and why is more that half of the population on this planet under the poverty line? huh? answer that

  • @Trokkune the world needs less people like you

  • Idiots, leaders have been using the keyword "RELIGION" to convey people to believe that they're fighting in the name of god. In the past 200 years, all wars have been based on economic and imperial growth. Nobody fights for religion anymore, wars have absolutley nothing to do with religion.

  • @beda204 maybe not in the past couple decades maybe. you should listen to "With god on our side" by Bob Dylan

  • I would love to see how the world would've looked if no religion ever existed. We'd probably have evolved far beyond our current technology without it slowing us down ^^

  • Wait where did the swords come from?

  • MichaelCarrr: You know nothing of history.

  • Obviously, it's supposed to be funny, but it's pretty much guaranteed to start a flame war. Which is stupid because no said can claim to be right and back themselves up with definitive proof. I'm henotheistic, and I found this pretty funny.

By the way, the cause of all wars can be traced back to money and power, not religion.

  • OMG...That was too epicly unexpected lol ahahahahaha

  • Sooo... Does anypony know who won?

  • 100% of wars had something to do with money.

  • @euodeio1 Or more basically: power.

  • @euodeio1 100% of religions had something to do with money.

  • @shwat17 ha

  • @shwat17 Epic fucking win.

  • @shwat17 false.

  • @shwat17 100% of money had something to do with... Gold? Screw it, I don't know lol

  • @shwat17 lol sure. giving your money to support causes for poverty and such.

  • @ledias65 and giving the preacher a new pool too huh? yeah!

  • @newyears912 couldn't have said it better myself.

  • @euodeio1 That's simply not true. There were wars before there were money.

  • Comment removed

  • religion was partly responsable for the wars in the past together with the hunger for power of the humans but since a few centuries it s just the hunger for power and money ,so we cannot say that now or maybe only for a few countries

  • Comment removed

  • okay.. I really didn't see that one coming O_O

  • ahahaha xd

  • where the heck did the swords came from??

  • @matagatos777 from God :P

  • YAY religion is wrong =)

  • i like family guy...but that is a bunch of crock. the oldest civilization had religion. so did egypt, assyria, babylon, greece, rome.... there has never been a civilazation found, not even in the depths of the jungle, that didnt believe in some for of a god

  • there was judism before christianity get your facts right family and also other religions in small tribes in africa and other places

  • Comment removed

  • @vanillaskulldirector do you have any sense of humor?

  • Nope this is just human nature to kill each other XD!

  • i think seth mcfarlane one day just got mad at people who are religious and he wanted to express his anger and show how "dumb" people are for belieiving in religion so he did it like this.. i mean u can just tell in the tone of brian's voice.. "just like people got along JUST FINE without religion for THOUSANDS OF YEARS....." seemed kinda angry to me

  • @deidara0430, of course people are going to get angry or frustrated at religious people. Afterall, they are the ones who insist on believing in things without evidence to support it. Not to mention that the things in, say, the Bible or the Koran are just as silly and mythological as the things in the Iliad or the Epic of Gilgamesh. I mean, say, Jesus born of a virgin with a god for father and a mortal for mother? So what? Romulus, the legendary founder of Rome had a god for father and mortal mom

  • Except religion has been around since the first civilization...

  • STAB FIGHT

  • Why is seth mcfarlane always trying to convert us to atheism D:

  • @imred3345l he's not (sorry couldnt tell if you were being serious or not)

  • Wars with religion for years to come too, just look at Jedi's

  • Wars will occur regardless of religion, but yeah, is an extra excuse to "excuse me" I am taking this land/gold/oil/virgins/children "in the name of "

  • @AngryCaterpillar There were, but Jesus made more?

  • @vanillaskulldirector

you realize that this is a tv cartoon show and it meant to be funny and provocative and not true, right? But I guess sense of humour is something that you can't learn and some people just dont have it ;p

  • @PacketReaver I know it's supposed to be funny and provocative - but when Brian's opinion is almost always shown to be right in the show, and he's clearly McFarlane's self-insert, when he says stupid things like this it's just one big eye-roll. By the way, just because something's SUPPOSED to be funny doesn't mean it IS, at least not to everybody. But I guess perspective is something that you can't learn and some people just don't have it ;p

  • @PacketReaver Id have to agree with Mr vanilla. If you understood the humor of seth and family guy, you would realize that he bases most of his jokes on real events. He does skew them, but they are based in his mind at least in a little truth. This one has no truth whatsoever.

  • @PacketReaver That would be a very good point if Seth McFarlane didnt say the same stupid crap on talkshows as well

  • @PacketReaver He's actually right, Seth makes a lot of fun of religion, without actually giving any correct information. He brainwashes people into thinking religion is bad, and since Americans are mostly dumb, they believe him..

  • @PacketReaver But religion is a touchy subject, so i suppose seth will make fun of it. huh?

  • @PacketReaver 's response to @vanillaskulldirector

He'd have a sense of humor if it weren't for religion ._,

  • @PacketReaver hes actually 100% true lol 99% of all wars had something to do with conflict of religions or religeon was used to control people to fight the wars. the 1% just wanted a girl or a new castle/land

  • @MichealCarrr Please show us the stats that back up your outrageous claim.

  • @MichealCarrr i'd be careful about blaming religion, i'm not religous myself but people have used religon as a scapegoat for their own political and warlike ambitions. Yes, wars have been started by religion but many wars have simply been called religous in order to suit the moral needs of the combatants

  • @MichealCarrr Source?

  • @MichealCarrr Religions are only ever excuses for wars, EVERY war ever ha been about resources or defense of them. The crusades being the prime example, but religions are just a good way to trick masses into fighting. Surely you can understand this.

  • @MichealCarrr: You know nothing of history.

  • @MichealCarrr and that 1% was some of the most epic battles! Battle at Thermopylae and battle for Troy!

  • @MichealCarrr Not true. Probably 99% of wars USED "religion" to control/manipulate people SO THAT they could get "a girl or a new castle/land". Religion itself, wasn't the instigator, it was mostly corrupt, greedy people who probably didn't even care about God or "religion".

  • @MichealCarrr wow your history is way off

  • @MichealCarrr

That's obviously wrong, because there have been more non-religious based wars than wars about religion.

Think about the Battle of Hastings and back in the Middle Ages.

  • @MichealCarrr yeah, like WWII, or WWI, or the Napoleonic Wars, or the Korean War. Four of the bloodiest wars ever, and they were all about religion right? NO

  • @Gbenny97 yes they did WW2 was all about the jews

  • @mez8ccompetitzione not 100% true. Hitler used them as a scapegoat but the real reason was that Germany was weak and poor. Hitler used the Jews as propaganda and the people were dumb enough to follow along because they had been weak and poor since the end of WWI

  • @Gbenny97 Hitler's Catholicism had A LOT to do with WW2. On many occasions he claimed to be doing God's work.

  • @MichealCarrr that's a completely incorrect percentage.

  • @MichealCarrr Oh look someone pulling out statistics from their ass.

  • @MichealCarrr These numbers are wrong... It's something more like 65% of wars were religious... not 99...

  • @MichealCarrr

    No, fuckwit.

Large-scale agriculture is the TRUE root of all war.

Learn some fuckin' history. Wish MacFarlane would.

  • @PacketReaver It would be "funny and provocative", except for Seth McFarlane's obvious and incessant tendency to plug little jibes at Christians and anyone else he dislikes into nearly every episode of this show after a certain point.

Nowadays it's just thirty minutes of badly-written, poorly reasoned and boring political name-calling. Like futurama. Which is sad, because they both used to be amazing.

  • @PacketReaver unfortunately people DO take humor too seriously, and misconceptions through humor are considered fact by people who don't do there research, all to often. And thus is propagated ignorance through similar humor ^

  • @vanillaskulldirector You do realize this is a SATIRICAL SHOW RIGHT?!?!? Of course its not the root of ALL human conflict, of course there are other religions, the reason he hacks Christianity so much, is because you would laugh your ass off if they were making fun of Muslims but as soon as they hack your religion, you all of a sudden disagree. How christian of you!

  • @beatlesto I'm not a Christian, dude. In fact, I'm a *Muslim*. And for your information, I did laugh at the joke - I was just pointing out that the obvious MacFarlane blowhole's point fell through.

  • @vanillaskulldirector there is no reasoning with religious people, otherwise there would be no religious people.

  • @vanillaskulldirector why don't you go to the video labeled kaaaren and hack that for not making sense either, you know why would god have to use a gun to kill someone? Dude your watching a CARTOON SHOW!

  • @beatlesto Y'know what? Calm down. I've told you what I meant by my comment, and from what I can see below, other people have made similar comments that have NOT gotten backlash. You clearly don't get my point - Rule of Funny doesn't discount eyeroll-worthy logic that the creator of the show ACTUALLY uses as points against religion. That's the last time I'm going to say that, so stop trying to make me look like a moron who doesn't understand the joke.

  • @vanillaskulldirector obviously your an idiot

  • @beatlesto Yeah, obviously. You wanna go away now?

  • @vanillaskulldirector why are you looking for evidence when the basis of religion is lack of evidence

  • @vanillaskulldirector u mad bro?

  • That was actually happening ALOT more before Jesus came on the scene. Liberal bastard.

  • Pretty much sums it all up. :D

  • It's funny because it's true :P

  • @Snip216 Goebbels' Law.

  • damn that guy in the middle had it rough

  • Btw i loled

  • War is a trait of man bound to our genetic code man is destructive and lusts for war...

Religion does not create war but is simply a excuse for more war...look at ancient river valley civs. That had no religion they had more wars than people with religion amd usually they struck first...war is a simplely a act of man that deep in our genetic code we all crave nothing more nothing less

  • @d3lta42 Correct; however, society is drifting to atheist belifs. Thats what they want the future genocide to believe in. Shameful

  • @B4DONKEY so true...i find it funny because in the christian text this is a sign of the apocolypse when people turn away from god....kinda of ironic lol...oh well

  • Funny because it's true.

  • Omg i laughed so hard at this

  • @AngryCaterpillar >missing the point

  • guy in the middle is a badass

  • I think people are missing the point with this clip, and not understanding who it's mocking.

  • Lol I love this :)

  • Ahhahahahahhaa ing u Gita admit it's sooo true

  • religions might have been made after jesus was born, but before that "god" already existed and people killed for him and in some cases them. religion does not bring war, but appearantly is god himself or well dumb people that believe that by doing this they are doing got a favor or something

  • Ahahahhahahahaha!

  • it makes sense now

  • which episode?? :)

  • wait what just happened? XD

  • The guy in the middle got noob teamed.

  • thumbs up if your religious or atheist and you dont care about the other comments and you find this funny

  • @AngryCaterpillar comparing to how advanced we are in technology, you'd think our primitive minds would get past fighting one another. Oh wait, religion fucked that up.

  • Dude without religion this world would be worst than it is so think about this, I am a historian and I know this, we have killed each other way before any religion.

  • religion in a nut shell

  • Because that's how it happened!

  • Religion isn't what started wars. It was simply a new, very convenient excuse to start them. If it wasn't for religion they'd have come up with another reason.

  • @89Dustdevil such as wanting more land, more food etc.

  • People, it's sarcasm. It mocks the people that say that religion is the only reason people started killing each other in a "age of complete peace"

  • @Salocinist

Well actually this particular piece isn't sarcasm, its pretty well known that Brian is McFarlane's platform for speaking his opinion on certain things. He is an atheist if I remember correctly. To all the people talking about how there were religions before Christianity, of course you are right, but I can only make the assumption he chose Christianity as the "start" of religion simply because his main audience are North Americans and its easy to relate since its well known.

  • @newbo750 of course, he's atheist, and knows (like most people) that Christianity provoked much violence. I mean that it was sarcasm towards those that say that religion is the "root of all violence"

  • @Salocinist no its not. He is taking a shot at my faith. I detect literally no sarcasm in this excuse for a joke.

  • @whitewarrior12 religious debate is gay. get over it and watch the video.

  • @MrWilf87 homo

  • @AngryCaterpillar yeah fyi Christianity is not the only religion in the history, there have always been religion and always been wars.

  • hahahahaha omg

  • the stabbing was fucking hilarious

  • @AngryCaterpillar no shit Rome vs Cartagina , Rome vs Dacia , Rome vs Israel .. Rome vs The known World

  • A few things one religion was white humans since humans walk t this earth.

tow god did't start any war's it was the interpretation of humans that did we call it religion it is what humans would like to think that god wants.

  • @AngryCaterpillar It is a retarded misconception to say that all wars and killings come from religion. Only stupid biased and bigoted people think like this.

Did Stalin, Mao, or Hitler have a religion where they believed in God? No. So their arguments are futile.

  • It is a retarded misconception to say that all wars and killings come from religion. Only stupid biased and bigoted people think like this.

Did Stalin, Mao, or Hitler have a religion where they believed in God? No. So their arguments are futile.

  • @mishakol129 God isnt the only religion. and religion is a BIG reason for fighting. And Hitler had religion of himself and hated jews.

  • @iH8beingHUMAN Religion has to do with belief in God. Some people think that the devil is God, while other think that God himself is an evil despot... It all just depends on how people interpret God that religion can become evil.

Religion is not evil, it is the misuse of religion. Family Guy is being bigoted here.

Focusing to say that religion caused all the wars is like to refuse to see that evil is in human beings, not in religion. Religion, if used rightly, will cure human evil.

  • @mishakol129 lol human good will triumph human evil. religion has had it's go and has an unfortunately bad track record. But yea when ppl say religion caused all wars that simply untrue. Extreme ideology causes wars, violence. etc, but it's not too much of a stretch to say that there is no ideology like religion that teaches ppl to believe that they are making transcendental observations of the world. That in it of itself is rather extreme, especially if you have no evidence

  • @iH8beingHUMAN Religion is a term abused by many atheists. They like to put the idea of belief in a supernatural system in a box and characterize it as wrong just because of a few examples they see in history. But this is childish because it is only because they are atheists that they judge it like this (duh).

Let's be logical here. Hitler did not believe in a religion, he believed in the occult. He believed in a fringe belief which was in no way a "religion" in the classical sense of the word

  • @mishakol129 i love how ppl twist facts. hitler was baptized a roman catholic. His armies were largely dominated by a lutheran and roman catholic majority. believing in something you have no evidence for is childish no matter how much you try and polish it. If you're suggesting that the church had nothing to do with his sentiments well you could be right but anti semetism was an official doctrine of the church until 1964... you don't think that has anything to do with public opinion?

  • roadhouse... xD

  • haha this made me laugh so hard. Sure there were wars before Jesus, but most of the other causes of wars were more reasonable, like fighting for land. it is so stupid for people to kill each other for superstition.

    What's is AA?
