  • Great video. Thanks for sharing.

  • wow i almost forgot about this show

  • I preferred the original theme as opposed to the "rock" theme.

  • @mooky9669 Interesting, I prefer the Rock to the original, but I think you're in the majority. For what it's worth, I"m 38 in 2011, to give you an idea as to how old I was and what time era I watched this (I presume you're probably my age, give or take a few years, since you're familiar with the show)?

  • I was about 10 when this show first hit the air. There were two things I got out of the show. 1) I wish at that age I had the set up of video games at my house like Rick had. 2) Even though women at the time weren't the #1 priority until a few years later, ERIN GRAY was smokin!! I would just tune in for the intro watching her exercise bit. Whoooa, Nelly!!

  • I love silver spoons. I'm 13 now, and I just found these youtube videos and I can't stop watching them!!!

  • Love Silver spoons this show is so great. I could only find season one at Wal-mart around Christmas time. Wish they would sale more. I love all the old shows. The bets is this show came out the year i was born made me love it more he he.

  • I think the reason is because the father in the series married his assistant.

  • This is the quintessential 80's sitcom theme.

  • is this the show they are talking about in "Ballad of DJ Tanner"???

  • @USCTrojan2004 Full House

  • the theme is sooo annoying

  • @HyruleLand - I love this and all versions. The great thing about this version is that has a great 80s vibe to it more so than the original version.

  • didn't like this version of the theme...the 1st one was better

  • Ray Walston. Incredible character actor. His real breakthrough role was his television series, My Favorite Martian.

  • Mr. Hand!!!

  • Aloha, Mr. Hand!

  • I think the reason was because the Rick was getting older and the living room should be more spacious. More livable, which is why the change seems so drastic.

  • @83survivor Also the interior has changed from masculine to feminine.

  • With the exits of the train, also saw the departure of the arcade machines and toys from the living room, too.

  • There are reruns on cable.

  • I believe they ditched the train later in the series because, in reality, the train didn't go that far at all. Only from the patio to the living. Rick had a problem with the train itself because it didn't seem go anywhere, but to the living room only.

  • I heard (but not sure if it actually true) but I heard that Rick bought the rights to the show and does not want them replayed becaue he did not want to ruin his chances of new roles.... something like that.

  • wut happened 2 the big house with the train?

  • WOW I remember when this show was on the air. this really is showing my age HA HA HA.

  • Awesome! More original airdates! Full themes! Doyou have Gimme A Break episodes? Please upload those! It would be awesome!

  • Thank You! :)

  • Awesome! More Silver Spoons eps. from the 1985-86 season! Too bad when N@N had a marathon back in 2000, they didn't show many eps. from this season or the 1986-87 season.

  • wow is this the original airing back in the mid 80s like 1986 or so?

  • Nope, this ep. aired in 1985, not '86, b/c midway this season (1986) as well as the 1st haf of the following season they would use the rock variation (3rd SS theme). But you heard the 2nd SS theme here.

  • You sure know a lot about Silverspoons.

  • is there part 2 and 3 to this episode?

  • They are there, just look in the main video listings.
