My dad found a nest that was almost all the way tipped over and had only one little swallow in it! We took it inside and got a small box and put hay in it. We made the box dark, it liked it WAY better! It wouldn't eat bird formula even when it would open it's mouth to say it was hungry! My mom suggested Silk Milk in an eye dropper. We tried it and this works so well! But now we grind the food and make it easier to eat.
When I was a kid there was a pair that always had a nest in one of our birdhouses. One day I made the mistake of trying to peek in at the babies and the parents began dive bombing my head. I didnt make that mistake again. They are beautiful little birds.

i hate those things they attack whenever i cut my lawn.
yoda55 4 years ago
They aren't attacking...they're dining on the insects you're kicking up from the lawn. They're partying at the lawn buffet!
