Yeah its rare. There is Port, but Port is super sweet. You may want to try some carbonic maceration red wines. Start with Barefoot Pinot Noir. I'm not sure where you go from there.
@HarboeDrinker which is a sweeter red wine? I tried port but it was as much acidic as it was sweet with no texture whatsoever. I want a sweet and textured wine that lingers on the palette. kinda of like buttery raisins. or does such a wine not exist?
@mavishill It exists and it's called sherry. There are different styles of sherry of course but the sweeter ones can be like a glass full of raisins, even to the colour. There are different styles of port as well but it will never taste like raisins like sherry can.
I tell people at work that I'm on a quest to find a $9-$14 bottle of wine that tastes like it cost $300. They laugh at me, yet I still haven't given up.
I honestly don't get why all these wines I've been buying taste like piss. I mean like what's the big deal about taking a quality grape seed and nurturing it ... and selling it at a sensible price?
I want full body, but a little sweet... not dry. A rare thing being sweet? Acid taste and bitter irritates my stomach and causes me much problems.
