I wish I could help, but it sounds like yours is different than mine. YouTube isn't allowing me to post the link, but if you search Flickr for the 600SE group, you could post the question there.
You have to pull them out from the same place I pulled the leader out. Once you pull the leader out, you'll see 10 little white tabs that are all numbered 1 through 10. Take a picture and pull the #1 tab out. It'll advance the film and break off. Then pull the rest of the film all the way out. Hope that helps.
It's a basic range finder, so when you look through the viewfinder, you see a split image. As you focus, the two images come together. Once they line up, you're in focus. There's a small dot in the center of the viewfinder where you can see the split image. Minimum focus distance is 3.5 feet with the 127mm lens.
I am also in the process of graduating from a 450 to this cam. Don't have it in hand yet, but I have a few packs of type 100 film waiting for its arrival.. thanks for this well made intro!
what other camera uses the fp film?

@psumiz Good question. I have an old Polaroid 420 that uses it, and I think a lot of the similar Polaroid land cameras use it also.

I love this camera, way cool colors and the mamiya s-shaped 120 film back creates very plain surface for such a large film format.... Goood !!!
