Saw Terry and the Pirates at a New Sounds of the City show. I was just wondering, because of the Terry in the title, if there was a connection. I just got a cd by Steve Mandel and Terry Haggerty plays on a couple of songs. Saw Mandel for free last Friday. Great player.
I saw Quick Silver with Nicky at Play Land At the Beach ..."at the edge of the Western World" SF in 68. Anybody got that poster? He never looked at the keyboard, instead talking to a chick sitting on the treble end of the grand piano,(the top must have been down) through the whole set even through Edward the Mad Shirt Grinder". After the show some band members were among the audience so I went up to see if I could see Nicky but he was gone. Lucky guy,,,lucky chick.
Anybody know the date or venue for this? Nicky was in T&TP for only a short time. Chances are I was at this show.

Hey I saw this band at Winterland. Was Terry Haggerty (Sons of Chaplain) in the band?

I'm not sure. I saw Qquicksilver twice, Sone of Champlain once, all in 67-69.
I later ('80) built an elaborate pedal switching system for Terry Haggerty, but did it all over the phone, never actually met him in person.
