I see your point. However could there be something so simple and yet incredibly profound in his teachings that my complicated mind keeps going past it and not seeing it? The conviction of Ramana is so strong and complete that like Jesus or the Buddha I start to wonder how much or little I really know. Almost nothing I suspect (smile).
There is no question this was a man who achieved a very high state personally, perhaps the highest, who knows ? And who really knows what a "really high state" is anyway ?
The thing to me that was especially apparent with this man was his simplicity and his humility coupled with the level of silence.
Unfortunately people seem to miss the point and want to turn the whole thing into some sort of religion instead of simply following his example perhaps.
I don't really get how so many people speak of this man as if he is God himself. It's as if they actually knew this man at least, which I very much doubt due the time when he was actually around.
It's as if these people have simply been converted to the idea of him, perhaps like Jesus or muhammed or the Buddha.
