@ledlightboy basicly, each dimmer pack (or whatever they have) will automatically have 1 dmx channel for each fixture, so, if you have (ex: 24) lights, then there will be a total of 24 dmx channels from all the dimmer packs total. So, to map it, first, find out how many dimmer packs, (or racks) the venue has, then find out how many individual dimmers there are on each one. So, if you have for example, 6 dimmer packs (or, again racks) with 4 dimmers on each pack, (continues into next comment!)
@generationstationdj so you are saying that bacause i just tell the bored to o 1-25 @ full brightness then i could just run a 25 dim channel profile i make and then just put the dmx into my dmx? and the only probolem is that the dmx would go into my dmx but i would not get an out would i? because then i would have to run my dmx line all the way up from the bottom to the top of the venue that is like 200'
@ledlightboy You Bypass there board all together take there DMX cable out the back and convert it into yours, then find the last fixture on stage that has DMX out and start linking your lights from there, the desk will go to 24 channels max proberbly, or so forth, so you start your lightsfrom channel 25,
and all house lights are channels 1-24 on your computer, and the rest are yours, and you can program all scenes nice and easy,
@generationstationdj yea this next summer i am not even going to run them i am going to be running a whole lot more led dmx lights and then some traditional par cans for a warm white

@bertieisawsome what do you mean by "get lights"? like get the gig, hang lights, or the lighting that was already in the venue on the cieling?

its more then likely the system has 3Phase dimmer racks, with lighting patch bays the way the lights look like they are setup

if you have the time in the future, link the stage lights to MyDMX as well, by getting a 5pin to 3pin DMX adapter, and just not use the board

@ledlightboy idk the dimmer packs should come up automaticly as 1 fixture with the amount of channels= the # of dimmers on each pack.
