Kind of funny considering those were the most economically prosperous years in American history. In 1864, the words "In God We Trust" was applied to a new two-cent coin as our new Federal (read that as "Union") Motto. So as not to incite folks that "bitterly cling to guns and religion".

No wait, you can only run up the debt on tax cuts, not making our country great again. In the 50s and 60s, the income tax rate on the top tax bracket was 85% - 90%. Kind of funny considering those were the most economically prosperous years in American history. Oh, and it built our entire infrastructure we still use today (Still use it because we don't have any money to rebuild or expand it, even though the population has increased by 100%). So I agree with you, lets let this country fall apart.

You guessed it, the great depression. BTW, did you know that hen Ronald Reagan cut taxes DOUBLED tax revenue and brought us out of the Carter recession. This has happened over and over in history. This is why Democrats are now begging Obama to keep the Bush tax cuts. Funny that!

Lets see all Obama has done, hmm he passed health care reform, which was very badly needed and will reduce the debt by $200 billion dollars in 10 years,passed the stimulus bill to reinvest in our falling apart country and put people back to work,extended unemployment benefits to the millions of people struggling day to day just to feed their children(No they aren't lazy, my conservative brother has been out of a job for a year and a half and has put in over 1,000 resumes.Hardly anyone is hiring.

@Notimeleftforyou2 Actually the CBO revised it's estimate and now says it will add a billion to the debt. and one by one each of the things the Republicans warned about are proving true, you won't be able to keep your doctor, and it's going to cost a fortune to keep your current plan but all diagnosticcs will be free if you go on a government run plan. Surprise surprise! The Stimulus has failed badly (who didn't see that coming, oh you!) and Dems are now begging to keep the Bush tax cuts.

The tea party is completely composed of idiots in hats with tea bags on them. Plus, I know several people personally who are in the tea party, one being a friend I have known since 6th grade, and he and his parents are tea party members, and often refer to African Americans by the N word. What I said was that we don't allow them. Again something that distinguishes us from Democrats. Democrats allow racism, as long as it works in their favor.
