  • Thanks for your nice comments! You made my day. Jan Krentz's book Lone Star Quilts and Beyond is a fantastic resource for the info you need. This quilt was made before her book was released. Jan saw the quilt at International Quilt Festival and asked if she could include a photo in her book. I agreed. Now we're dear friends. I'm writing a new book now that will include some of the special techniques in this quilt. Precision & Panache will be out this fall. ...and more YouTube videos are coming!!

  • About that quilt hanging behind you...do you ever plan on making a short video on what you did to create that beautiful piece? I would so love to see someone show some of the techniques on either just cutting or picking the color pallette! This is a great video and it is to bad that there are only two to view! Happy Quilting... :)

  • This is neat! - I never tried them because I thought they were too fussy but this is great and I love your ideas of placement. Thank you.

  • Thanks Susan- you explained it so easily! I tried to read it 3 times in the sewing pattern I just bought, but I felt the raw edges would be showing. As I'm only a learner, I thought I'd double check here- and I'm so glad I did! Marietta

  • @cc83jc85 ,

I'm so glad you found this helpful. I just love what adding a little detail like this can do for a project. Go for it.

  • Why am I not able to view the video and no voice

  • @jmrsbsquilts

I'm so sorry and I have no idea what the problem could be. I'd say try again. Good luck!

  • Something old used in new ways. Great ideas. The tool is a surefire time saver I'll bet.

  • @WedeWorks

Everybody who tries making prairie points this way and adds then to his/her work is thrilled with what the little accent does for a project! Thanks for commenting.

  • Cute embellishments!! Love it :)

  • I just took a class and she is a fabulous teacher and lots of fun!! Her work is amazing and you learn so much from her.

  • @muskratwine

You're a darlin' for saying so! I very much enjoy teaching.

    Quilt on!

  • Easier and much faster too. Look at her tiny piping. She has a really good tool to do that also. I attended one of her classes and learned a lot.
