  • Ok, ok, ok. the kid didnt get hit get over it. The thing that bothers me is that people like that get railroad workers angry at railfans. Its hard to explain, but the works just dont want any one to close to the tracks because of idiots like those kids.

  • i would LOVE to talk to this childs parents

  • fdgfgfdgf

  • dumb little shits, if i was one of their parents i woulda been furious...

  • @sdubois10 burned...

  • Young boys? There was only one kid.

  • @jarrondecker1 the other young boy was in his pants??? LOLz

  • @sdubois10 Really? Most train crews dont care. We are not actually trespassing until we set foot on the ballast or any piece of railroad equipment. Plus, take a minute to account for the large zoom this camera has. He was far enough away from the tracks but you cant really tell because the camera is zoomed in dumbass. Why did God make youtube trolls? Anyone know? Heres a hint, before you try to call someone out, do your homework, man.

  • The train was taking the siding, if it had been cleared on the main it could have been coming at 60 miles an hour...don't think the kid really knew...fuck with trains...they WILL fuck with you!

  • @sigzagzoo PEOPLE saying the train was SLOW, listen to the man I'm replying to. Wake up. A train will fuck your shit up even if it's going 5 MPH.

  • is that a BN locomotive???

  • take a chanch my ass i could had stoped in the middel of the track and tuck a piss

  • Man, you shoot stupid videos. get a life.

  • I LOVE BN

  • lol.. what kind of train is this?.. i mean the freight cars

  • @arlingtontrains7 I think they are iron ore cars

  • what is that train Carrying?

  • pussies

  • Hell, My Grandma could have beat that train with her walker.

  • @JawsJaws That kind of thinking is what kills people.

  • ive done this before but hella no infront of a train hella crasy!

  • Comment removed

  • What does the red light and the green light mean??also the orange..

  • @sdubois10 If you took the time to read the other post! You would see that I had reported that we had writen permission to be on the property. Years ago, all you needed to do was go to the office and sign a release. You could even take a trip with the crew, which I also have a video of. So!!! I have ALL kinds of room to talk!!!

  • If they were my kids, their four wheelers would be sportin' a for sale sign! Would not matter to them much, it would be a VERY long time before they would be able to sit on one again, anyway!

  • The thing is what if your quad tipped over backwords or you got hung up lol...

  • EVERYONE IN MY SCHOOL COULDA WALKED ACROSS THE TRACKS INTIME BEFORE THE TRAIN CAME

  • @TEMPLE7D Sure! Maybe you could be the last one in line. Dead last!!! LOL

  • @1jackdk lmaooo nah.. if its very close.. i'll just wait lol

  • @TEMPLE7D VERY wise choice. The pain could be tremendous!!! Take care...

  • @1jackdk lol thanks, you too

  • @1jackdk i agree those boy are risking there lives and i bet there folks dont know what there doing

  • @1jackdk that was so korny man but fuck i laughed due to its kornness and also that kids body rag dolling LOL

  • @TEMPLE7D ya thats right

  • @TEMPLE7D oh there maybe a one time you get ran over by a train, use your brains. And it takes just one time and the one on the 4 wheeler needed his a-- whipped ,stupidity was shown.

  • @TEMPLE7D Because trains are so large, they look like they're going so slow, but once it gets nearby you will notice that they are going very fast (Or just fast.).

  • @TEMPLE7D And possibly back again as well

  • @cumesoftware of coarse their aint no signs their in the MIDDLE of the woods riding quads

  • Airborne? I can jump higher than that.

  • 0:14 PINCHE ESUPIDO BABBOSSO

  • "Taking a chance"? Glad you ain't my parent. I would be living a sheltered life.

  • Stupid kids. What are they even doing there in the first place?!? Couldn't they go biking somewhere else?!?

  • That kid had all the time he needed to cross the tracks...

  • dude is all you care about trains?

  • @metalmanguitarist21 Ohhh Hell no. I am into classic cars BIG time. I enjoy the crap out driving and showing my 68 AMX, and 88 vette. Thanks for watching though. Take care...

  • @1jackdk your from west newton right? you make it up to the irwin car shows i know ive seen an AMX up there wondering if it was yours? what color is your AMC

  • @metalmanguitarist21

    Pissoff, you Twat!!

What are you doing here, anyway?

Seriously, 1jackdk, watching this brings back memories of my own childhood, when I daily entertained myself & friends by dodging trains....

In those days, we children did not realise the stress we put those poor drivers under ! Nowadays, I'm sorry.

Like Russian Roulette, the rest of us found out what 'train-dodging' was really about.

Eventually, one, or two of us weren't quick enough.

-The Truth is hard to accept.

  • @guthywoodry ohhhhhhhh haha u sure showed me u cunt

  • thats a waste of my time didnt even watch the whole thing

  • onl saw one boy

  • @KurtisCochrane you can hear the other one talking that wanted to cross...

  • @pkfloyd420 HERE WE GO AGAIN. Of coarse the first boy had time enough for a baby to cross. The second boy many not have been that lucky. The train was traveling its track speed on 35mph. The second boy would have been toast, more than likely...

  • that wasnt taking a chance, even if the kid did fall he had plenty of time to flip it back over and leave

  • IDIOT

  • um... well the boy wasnt even close, but i guess he should have looked for teh train before he crossed

  • ITIOT

  • @peterpan5031 you spelled idiot wrong,, fucking halarious.

  • @47tooter lol

  • How come you're allowed so close to the tracks? Don't the Railway Police come and arrest you for trespass?

  • @waldenhouse They don't any more, but when this video was taken, you sign a release at the office to be on the property, and can even ride with the crew. I have a video posted of the ride. You can no longer do this, and a good bit of the property is posted, and fenced by the new owners. So no telling what would happen if you go to these locations now. Thanks for watching...

  • Thats nutso that was very stupid doing that!

  • @pianomanmaestro They don't do it any more. But when these videos where taken, you could go to the office and sign a release to be on the property. You could even set up a ride with the crew, which we did, and a video is posted of that. Since the new owners have taken over. The property has been fenced and posted in many locations. Thanks for watching...

  • @1jackdk Ohhhh i see your point! was that a shortline RR?

  • @pianomanmaestro I would say its a shortline, or an industrial railroad. They haul taconite pellets from the facility to the ore dock on Lake Superior in Marquette, Michigan. Not much industry on the railroad anymore. So the railroad has shrunk in size over the years

  • wow are you kidding me... that wasnt even fuckin close. this video is gay i dnt even know y i watched it.

  • OH NOES!!! that train was only inches from him! he was close to death that day!

I'm sure he will remember this terriftying experience for the rest of his life!

    I WANTED TO SEE DEATH!

    VID = FAIL!

  • @YonOtto I want to see death too. I GOT IT!!! Why don'y you hang yourself and take a video of it. We all want to LOAO, and the world would be ride of ass hole breathing good usable air...

  • @1jackdk Yet you or your friend is the one who will chance his quad getting stuck on a train track WITH a train coming... just saying...

  • @1jackdk

Many, many thanks for your fine uploads to YouTube!

You have fans all over The World.

By now, I'm sure you're aware of the hopeless mugs like 'metalmanguitarist21' -who arrive like aimless bits of dirt in the wind....

Invariably, they contribute nothing anywhere, but criticize everything....

-Their strongest opinions are always about everything they know least about !

1jackdk, Your work is widely appreciated. Please keep filming & uploading.

    -Ignore the sad trolls.

  • say the quad got stuck on the tracks, then what?

  • @AlexR47x Book it...Duh?

  • @YonOtto dude what the hell is your problem that was a kid and you wanna see him die? you should seriuosly go to a psyciatrist cuz that ain't rite

  • Killer machine! :{

  • Wheres the danger? He crossed the tracks when the train was a mile away and the fricken train was going a mile an hour

  • rail looks awfull...

  • It has spilled taconite pellets to the tops of the rails. The track itself is pretty nice considering its jointed rail. Thanks for watching...

  • wow, i don't see trains like those these days!!

  • Sorry, my I got my facts confused. It was 500 not 500, 000. And it was from the 1998 Fox specail "Train Wrecks" (hosted by John Bunnell).

  • American trains are so awesome ! In France they are so gay...

  • its people that take risks and be dumb fux that give the sensible people a bad name im not sayin these boys are bad they are absolute GENIUSES compared to the idiots that take risks

  • I agree 100%. These boys at least had the sense to warn each other. So they are total idiots.

  • no i mean they are smart because one noticed the train and warned the other and no one is that smart these days

  • People teach their kids, these days, to be impatient. And that's what gets over a half a million people killed at railroad crossings every year. Thanx fur sharin'!

  • OMG! They must be on drugs!

  • I done this before when there was no train coming.

  • The boy is not the problem, he is clear. Its the second one that was going to attempt to cross, and the 1st ladd warns him. He may not have been as lucky...

  • A telephoto lens tends to shrink perspective (distant objects appear closer), making the train appear closer in this video. In reality, it was nearly a full minute between the time the boy crossed the track and the train reached the same point on that track.

  • The 1st boy was not the problem. He cleared with plenty of time. What about the second boy he warns not to cross. Do you think he would have had the full minute. I don't thinkso!!!

  • 1jackdk > "second boy .. you think he would have had the full minute."

What does it matter? The first boy crossed nearly a minute ahead of the train and the second waited for the train to pass. Seems they weren't taking any great chances, but instead acted quite responsibly. They should be commended for that and for looking out for each other. Wish all kids behaved so well in similar situations.

  • Nice videos you have, and I'm happy the boys who took such foolish chances in this video are ok. If my dad had caught me doing something so stupid when I was their age it would have been a week before I could sit comfortably again.

  • wow your arrogant. some people are interested in what horns are on what trains and what car numbers there are. sure in the big picture it doesnt matter but its what makes the hobby fun. you should stop writing bull crap on 1jackdk's videos and just enjoy them! that is what ther're there for.

  • DRG, funny you think that jack here's lieing, because i had something similar to hias deal, where i was hanging out in some MTA stuff with engineers. some idiots almost got smushed in the tunnels for graffiti matters. so it's safe to say that YOU SIRE are RETARDED!

  • Dumb ass boys

  • First!!! When I took these videos several years ago, I had a signed release from the LS&I. I even road with the crews on that release the following day. I know there is an insane amout of bull out there, and I don't give a hoot about what horn is on what. I just enjoy my hobby, and if I thought I was in any danger, I wouldn't do it. You are closer to the railroad at a station platform, or sitting in your car at a railroad crossing. If you don't like this bunch of crap, why do you watch it???

  • Its funny you don't give up!!! People that watch these videos, almost 30000 of them, don't care about what you think, they just want to look at the videos, so I delete it, to leave room for people that enjoy it. They don't want to hear your crap...

  • Aren't you scared getting so close to one of those?

  • NO. I'm not that close. The telephoto lens makes it appear you are closer than you really are. I always stay a nice safe distance. You never know when something might come flying off the train...

  • OO I LOVE being close to locomotives! its a rush! dont u say?!!!!! nice vid 5/5 xcept u shood have very slowly zoomed out as the train got closer not all at once but good job anyways!

  • Thanks, I try to zoom slow, but its hard, as I try to consentrate on 35mm camera shots with two camera's first, and the video is just for my enjoyment. Thanks for looking. Jack

  • Umm, there not scary.

  • Dramatic footage! Sweet train! Thanx fur sharin'!

  • should show this video to their parents!

  • I LIKE YOUR VIDEO FIVE STARS¡¡¡

  • hell of a zoom u got ther on that video camera

  • lol! That's so wrong. But yeah, people don't realize if a train and a person tie, the train wins!

  • Yikes, the way you have it zoomed in, it looks like the train is about to hit you!

  • i crossed the tracks on my quad in the woods were there is no crossings but i make sure there is not a train coming and if there is i wait.

  • Best to be safe!!! Always look both ways. Sometime you don't even here them as big as they are. Like this one was drifting down hill. At least the lad had the good sense to warn his buddy of the approaching train...

  • Would of been cool to see him get nailed, him and that gay four wheeler. MORONS AND TRAINS DON'T MIX!

  • Chestitty. you're an idiot. the train is some thousand tons, with masses of HP. if you think a train doing 25 mph wont hurt, try running into a big metal wall first, and then a train. big difference. idiot.

  • BN C-30C

  • First!!! The train was running at 25mph, which is track speed. Second!!! If you can run 25 mph, why don't you try running yourself as fast as you can, head first into a block wall and tell me you will not get hurt.

  • And remember that when you hit that wall at 25 miles per hour you will STOP. THE TRAIN WON'T!

  • the train can crush a car i mean run over without derailing o.O

  • if you call that a risk then u must be a 500yr old Grandma cause train was going about 2mph

  • The train was doing more than 10mph, and it must have been a risk. If you turn up the volume, you will hear the first kid yell to the second not to cross. If it wasn't a risk, he would have told his buddy to come on and go for it....

  • yea sorry bout that i guess i was just pissed off or sumthin =) and i see your right

  • No problem. Hope things are going better for you today. Just watching the stock market, and watch your 401k being pissed away is enough to piss you off. Take care...

  • Heh, that wrinkle rail looks like CSX mainline track.

  • ahh ten dzwiek silnikaa...

  • What would ironic, but not surprising that if one of these kids were hit by a train, the railroad company would likely be sued for some loophole related reason. Happens so often now.

Looks like that stretch of track needs an appointment with the Plasser Rail Grinder unit!

  • yah they probly would be sued in most cases but if they tryed to in this vid all yu would have to do is show the vid and they RR would be off the hook showing that the kids on quads where tresspassing and that it was their fault.

  • They are ex-BN locomotives purchased by the LS&I for their opperation in Northern Michigan. They are going to be retired soon, maybe even by the end of this year. (2008) Thanks for looking. Jack...

  • if they were my kids I would beat the tar out of them so they would fear me more than that railroad that will kill them if they keep it up. :(((

  • I WANT THAT HORN!!LOUD

  • Dumb kids. Thats a rough lookin stretch of track.

  • Nice video. You should see what it's like working under those things. I have sailed on several ships that have loaded at the dock in Marquette and it's something else to have a train moving above you.

  • You call those quads? lol - Never heard them called that before.

  • I guess they're called quads in contrast to trikes and bikes. I usually call them ATVs.

  • What a pillok!!!!!

  • If you listen to the video, 1st, there was a second boy on a quad that was going to attempt crossing, and was warned twice not to from the first boy. 2nd, it is dangerous, as every year young boys are either hit, or killed crossing the tracks illegally...

  • cool guy on the atv

  • Awesome 5* !!!!!!!

  • awesome video, stupid person

  • yes

  • so you think the railroad sould buy fences all the way up and down the line ON BOTH SIDES???

  • That would be a very expensive undertaking for the railroads. Besides, you know the kids will cut the fences to get threw it if they where in place.

  • yes i know so its a waste of money

  • They shouldn't have to because the train tracks is private property. Those kids trespassed. If they get hit by the train, it is their own fault.

  • Yes exactly, but what if their parents sue the train engineer?

    P.S. I'm on your side.

  • Well, they wouldn't sue the engineer...they would sue the company (LS&I), and it wouldn't go anywhere because the kids are at fault for being on the tracks (private property) in the first place. Now, by no means am I a lawyer, but that is the logical answer.

  • ok, yes thank you

  • That would seem the logical answer, and it is right, but in this country the parents have a good chance of winning..... remember the person who spilled coffee on herself and sued McDonald's...and WON??? Unbelievable...

  • I have never thought of it that way, and you are right. Now that I think about it, if there wasn't a "no trespassing" sign at the crossing, there could be a lawsuit. That is absolutely ridiculous, but this world is all about suing and trying to make money.

  • Yes but I don't know what a lawsuit is.

  • A lawsuit is when somebody sues somebody.

  • Oh thanks

  • simple, hang the parents.

  • is this before BN and SF came together?

  • These are no longer BN units and never made it to the BNSF merger. The LS&I purchased a few U30C's and C30-7's from the BN to replace the old ALCO's and GE U25C's that they had. Thanks for looking. Jack...

  • thank you

  • I agree 110%. There has been other cases with ass-holes on Quads, like Steamtown in Scranton PA, being sued because its steam powered tour train killed some kid on a Quad that decided to cross infront of a train. Jack...

  • jack how far where you from the track, the train crew was also honking at you!! if some of the taconite where to fly out of those cars you would be lucky to not get hurt, we had a signal maintainer who lost an eye from it and he was farther away than you...

  • First!!! They blew the horn at me because I knew the crew, and road with them the day before. Second!!! The train was an empty, so the possibility of getting hit with taconite was slim to none, Third!!! I was a good 8-10 feet away, and in no danger. But!!! I do appreciate your concern for my wellbeing, and thanks for looking. Take care. Jack...

  • i just dont want one of my crew members to loose there job for having someone in the engine, but i will have them in my office in the morning thank you

  • Just a reminder, a few years back, all you had to do is go up to the office and sign a release. I also know that is now imposable, as I'm sure insurance reasons is not permitting it. It has been very obvious with all the fencing that has been going up around the property in the last few years.

  • THE DEPT OF HLS HAS US ON THE NUTS TOO

  • I'm sure they do. Nothing has been the same since 9-11. Its a darn shame.

  • At least he had the good sense to tell his buddy to wait. But it was stupid on the kids part. He didn't even look. Then if he did infact get hit, you know they will sue the railroad.

  • You can't beat the wonderful sound of those old GEs. That fellow on the ATV would have been a little less brash if he knew how long it takes to stop a moving train - especially one loaded with ore.

  • Admire your camera work! Steady shot (tripod?) and moderate but well-motivated use of zoom and panning. Great video! Do you know how many ore cars these trains contains?

  • Yes, I was using a tripod. My main focus is using a 35mm with Fuji 100 slide film, and the video is just for my enjoyment to capture the sight, and sound of the moment. So I do not take great care in using the voom, and have to edit a good many clips because I use the voom to fast so I can get my hand held photograph with my 35. Glad you enjoyed the clips, and Happy New Year to you. Jack
