"The human capacity is much too great to be contained by the confines of Capitalism. "-P.f.W.
We need to move towards Socialism not only because it's a more humane system but because there is no alternative that can unleash the human potential.
Marx manifesto was more a work of utopian dreaming, which like all other ideological works and or beliefs can only be left to be misinterpreted or misrepresented and are by their very nature vastly imperfect, impractical and insufficient in relationship to the reality of the physical world and the human dynamic. All ideology is flawed because the creators are flawed, paper is very patient and will accept everything you impress upon it- but mundane reality is a whole different story.
@TheFernseher09 Once upon a time each and every human being was a cannibal.
We all went through that stage in our history. However, there were "utopians" who urged to abolish such practices - and effectively, there was a progress toward a new stage of human civilization when cannibalism is no longer an accepted and "mundane" comon sense style of living.
@TheFernseher09 If the humankind is ultimately bound to progress (and not to regress and degrade under capitalizm) - the only way is socialism, the highr intellectual and spiritual level for homo sapiens species.
@IvanKolosnik on an idealistic level yes, but as a real world political system-regardles of what kind, there is automatic corruption and distortion of the ideal(s) because it is run by „humankind". There goes the dream and it happens everytime without fail. We are and always will be searching for perfection in an imperfect world.
@TheFernseher09 This is due to the absence of accountabitliy/responsibility of elected governemtnt to the people who elect them. When the consituency not only elect thie goevrnment but also JUDGE them upon termination of their term - and decide whether to a) reward them, b) let them sstep down iwthout consequences or c) imprison them for the same period of time then and only then there will be less corruption.
We should strive for better world, always - this is the purpose of our existence.
@IvanKolosnik who’s to say what our purpose in life is? the dichotomy of human nature leaves more than enough room for us to go into many different directions and purposes. Yes-we should strive for a better world, but that we only have one „purpose“ to our existence is again more of an idealistic statement.
@TheFernseher09 Thre is only one purpose of the human race's existence - evolution.
If not biological, tthen at least spiritual.
That's why we have cognitive, reasoning and analytical skils: we cannot be just satisfied with what we have (like animals), we need to work on continuous improvement.
Hence our transition from cannibalism and intertribal feud to cooperation and communist civlization of true homo sapiens species.
@IvanKolosnik everything evolves physically, living as well as non-living matter-this statement can apply to virtually anything. As for „spiritual“ being, this is merely a conceptualization for something that nobody really understands. A logical connection from cannibalism to communism eludes me, there may be confusion between the „ism’s“? Yes, humans build communities, but so do many other creatures and without the need for an unrealizable manifesto. Good intentions don’t always lead to good.
anarchy would come. The system is very oppressive and needs to be changed, but in my opinion, a democratic genuinely communist alternative would be much better than anarchism for our societies and for the people.
(I guess the only thing they lacked for democracy was free elections as long as the constitution preserved the planned economy and the rights of the people)...
Sorry brother, but even Marx said that a state should exist to administrate the economy, while the people would have control over that state, because with no politicians at all, there would be nobody to plan the national economy and enforce law, and, in consequence, criminality would go sky high and the people would face shortages as
during Lenin's rule for example, and in the pre-Stalinist Soviet Union (1917-1924) communism and democracy had almost been accomplished. Several new politics, like the legalization of freedom of speech, the growth of the wages, the women liberation politics and legalization of contraception, the construction of thousands of blocks of apartments for providing better housing proved than not only the state had control over the economy, but the people had some control over the state back then
@arzoyan: I agree with you and I am in favour of democratic socialism as well (Trotskyism more precisely), but regarding the fact that we don't need politicians, it really depends of whom we are talking about. Yes, we don't need any of these pro-corporate and big business supporters we see nowadays as both conservatives and liberals, who either do not realize how capitalism massively exploits the proletarians or support its economic dictatorship, but the workers could organize in cooperatives
corporate power is woven so deeply into culture it becomes invisible, practically unquestionable to the mass, you have to be very skeptical about whats dished out to you through popular culture although its hard because you have been indoctrinated with some distorted values from very young such as image and materialism. our education turns vulnerable people in to workers and consumers, cramming there heads with some data without giving them any adequate methodological synthesis on how to become
Karl marx and Friedrich Engels were both Jewish supremacists, who believed in the superhumanity of the jew, and his trickery against the goyim. Communism is their system, and they realise it with the help of their zionist capitalist friends. Rotschildt/Warburg/Schiff (New York) financed the revolution in Russia where over 60 million people died before there was any world war 2. And their NKWD/KGB was the secret service that staged the holohoax in 1945 on Germany's ruines.
Karl Marx' real name was Mordechai Levi, and he was a ashkenazim Jewish racist, who wrote the Communist Manifesto on behalf of the Jewish international Bankers.
@salamander162A you are very, very, so very sick... and stupid. incredible that people really believe this bullshit?? although i hate stalin for what he did to the ideas of communism: those gulags they had in stalinism were exactly the right place for antisemits like you. don't you see that you're only trying to explain the world by easy methods, halluzinating that there are only some greedy bad people that are to blame for the evil of the world? that's just ideologic
@nosferatomonos then why blame the Germans to have concentration camps? you don't know anything of communism, and stalin didn't change it. it's jewish dictatorship. Lenin already masssacred the farmers by the millions. communism is the enemy.
@salamander162A no, stupidity in addition to ignorance and nationalism are the enemies- so just look in the mirror. jewish dictatorship? so kill all the jews and we have a nice wolrd, eh? idiot. capitalism works by occupying the whole way we organize our lives, and not through the secret plans of an "evil minority". people like you just want to perserve the current system by keeping its benefits for oneself and putting its burdens on the shoulders of those that you call evil.
@salamander162A yeah yeah and to the bolshevists: they were cruel fighters in the russian civil war that lastet over 20 years. also lenin and trotzky are to blame for many crimes against humanity, no doubt, BUT: these were acts of war, they had a political purpose. in some cases i even would say that they had an excuse for what they did, but of course in most cases not. but the nazis did not act out of the necessites of war, the holocaust was the pure result of their sick ideology
@nosferatomonos Germany just wanted to get the jews out of the country, that's all. Germany didn't want a Soviet revolution to happen just as the jews had done in Moscow and Petersburg. that was the sole reason for the internment camps, and the genocide is made up by the evil KGB. communists are the world's mass murderers.
@salamander162A there is no use of arguing with a paranoid like yourself. i am german and i visited varius concentration camps. my grandmother that died three years ago in the age of 100 (she was born 1907) was a national-socialist until the end, she worked for the executiv office of the wehrmacht. so don't tell me "the truth" about the 3. Reich. it was a system built for the benefits of german industrialists, exploiting workers and minorities to their blood
@salamander162A yes and the german people let it happen because they were told they worked and fought for a higher purpose called "germany". in reality it fulfilled the purpose of german capitalist to get rid of the leftwing opposition, and when they were done with them they turned to the jews, each jewish individual, making no difference if the person was political or neutral, rich or poor, they came for every single one in order to "clean german blood"
@salamander162A my grandmother kept a copy of "mein kampf", i read the whole book. man this book was published in 1926 (!), seven years before hitler became chancellor. it's all in their, the nazi desire for a second wolrd war, the description of jews being "subhuman beings", that the aryan race would have to be saved from jewish contamination, jews being labeled "parasites"... the holocaust wasn't made up by some conspirators, it was the consequence of national-socialist sickness
@nosferatomonos Jews are not being called "subhuman"in this book Mein kampf, and i don't have to remind YOU, that in your Talmud every Goyim, or non-Jew is branded "cattle", and to be used and abused by the Jew? everything you jews accuse hitler of, you're doing the same only ten times worse. We only have to look at what the state of Israel is doing to palestinians and we all know the answer. That is what awaits society in a Marxist dictatorship.
@salamander162A ohh thanks for the compliment but i am not jewish... although i'd prefer it instead of being labeled "master race" by some fascist retards. no as i told you i'm german and in the direct family line of formerly proud NSDAP-members (until the "Empire of the 1000 years" collapsed in total defeat after 12 years), but i am more of that back-stabbing kind of germans as you can see!
@salamander162A well and if you actually read that "great book of the aryan nation" mein kampf (i'd rather call it the "great book of the retarded") you'd know very well how jews are described in there. hitler just tries to make a bad copy of marx, changing "class combat" into a race-war. hitler says that of all races, the jewish would be the lowermost one, and so they would have to "infect" other races with their genes, and this they try to achieve through the means of communism... sick!!!
@salamander162A ohh and ALL religions paint a picture in which their believers are the chosen ones and the rest is something like "cattles"; since the jewish believe is the direct origin of christianity and islam, you find the very same attitude in those religions; but also hinduism and even buddhism can be understood very aggressivly, and in india or banghladesh there are armed groups of these religions killing each other...
@nosferatomonos Jewry is not just a religion. google the" Harold Rosenthal interview", and you know. Khazar jews are sworn to an oath of silence, lies, trickery against the goyim (which is you). Don't think for a moment that their workers and farmer's paradise will make you happy. Because a goyim's life just doesn't count in the eyes of the jewish Soviet elite. "Bourgeois" they call it. It's their secret word for goyim, non-jew, or trash. your good for canon fudder.
@salamander162A ok and one last thing- in sudan christian war lords are slaughtering muslims; in somalia muslim fundamentalists are slaughtering other muslims because they do not share the sharia; in india hindus and muslims and buddhists are slaughtering each other; for "christian humanity" over the last 1 000 years millions all over the world have been tortured and slaughtered .. well and in isreal, jewish people are in war with muslims in palestine - doesn't seem to be so extraordinary
@nosferatomonos haha, in Sudan muslems are massacring and raping innocent christian families for years now. Government policy, and i can't blame any christian who is trying to defend himself. "religions cause all the wars", well my friend, start doing some real research, the wars are caused by money and elite zionisty Jewry. the big butcher's on this planet are the zionists, who hold the world record in death camps (Soviet Union, China), but zionist media don't talk about that.
@salamander162A i'm not going any further with this. i really hope that you can be cured from that grave illness in your mind before you harm anybody.
Interestingly enough, there are numerous biblical passages that are in favour of a Communistic lifestyle. That proves that even Jesus hated capitalism. Therefore that negates multiple conservative arugemnts in favour of capitalism.
I agree with your message overall, but I need to correct you on one thing:
Jesus WOULD HAVE hated capitalism; capitalism's development began quite a bit after his time, and he had lived far from western Europe or from more modern forms of economic development. Jesus probably disliked the idea of social class, as this method of organizing human beings hierarchically may have stifled them from achieving their true spiritual manifestations.
Saying that Marxist theory is accurately illustrated by the actions of State communism is like saying the musical message of the Beatles is accurately illustrated by the actions of the Manson cult.
Controlling almost every aspect of peoples' lives is totalitarian and concentrates enormous power & wealth into the hands of only a few elite atheists who control their subsistence....and so-called "democratic votes" for continued subsistence. Since power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely, how do you propose atheists (with such malleable values and so little regard for human life) keep so-called "scum" from rising to the top of the power pyramid for the same disastrous outcomes?
Like the ooooooohhhh I dont know......... THE CHURCH!!!
They had done the same thing like communism for more than a 1000 years before the communist were thought up.
The communist stole the churchs (the catholic) way of ruling. The own a lot to the catholic church, but were under their time nothing but babies in comparison, when it comes to control over people, torture and just the amount of corpses they left behind where ever there claws were showed up others asses.
Oh iKarly, you were so funny. The funniest of the Marx brothers. Too bad that to date over one hundred million people have died miserable deaths because they didn't realize you were a comedian.
@philoplatt communism isnt meant to be about dictatorships, Marx never intended that. Communism has been in countries with histories of dictators so the problem is regional and not ideological
@madmat123450 Of course you have to have a dictator. Someone has to be the final say as to who gets what in a commune. Only the most ruthless would want that position. Karl of course was aware of this. He didn't honestly think that no-one could figure that out. Big mistake. Millions dead.
Conservatives have spent their entire life trying to demonize Mr. Marx and spin his philosophies. I would have loved to sit down with Mr. Marx and have an intelligent political discussion.
Soialism a world wide system of cooperation for our collective needs and well being , a world to share and do our potential best for a world of plenty and harmony, it can be achieved if a maojrity democratic movement of no leaders and passive follower is organised to abolish money, class and state . We dont need politicians for this they are the pimps of the ruling class,We need to believe in our abilities and organisational will of the many, hope is only for losers and weaklings.
@arzoyan .......and suppose I refuse to participate in cooperating for "collective needs"? What if I want to take care of my needs, rather than the needs of others? Can I do that in a Communist society?
@arzoyan Oh my what a load of old tosh. Socialism is the....... greed and excess of the governing few and the slavery and poverty of the masses. Mao, Stalin and Hitler were all socialist first and foremost. They ruined the lives of millions and took pleasure from it. The Socialist Union of Europe has shown yet again how socialism can ruin lives like no other ideology. Record unemployment due to high taxes and record pay rises for the politicians in Brussels.
@warriorpri Capitalism is the wage slavery of immense humanity in a politically corrupt, manipulated MARKET SYSTEM OF ARTIFICIAL SCARCITY ,a tyrannical, destructive system to perpetuate poverty and exploitation in the interest of the ruling class. Capitalism from its Genocide of native Americas, mercantile plundering and enslavement of African natives to its Millitaristic rise of European Powers to World wars and Financial serfdom of the world has been a DISASTEROUS minority imposition .
@arzoyan "Capitalism is the.... the right to own your own property, businesses, copyright and sell a product for the price you see fit." Mao, Stalin, Hitler, Chavez, Castro, Unemployment Brown, Pol pot, all socialists. Mass production of vaccines = capitalism. Holocaust = socialism. "Socialism...the greed and excess of a governing few through the exploitation and slavery of the masses."
@warriorprince1010 Capitalist committed many atrocities in history, why don't you mention those as well? Also Socialism has many positive historical background, you're just blinded by your own ignorance and see with a biased eye.
@warriorprince1010 "Holocaust = socialism" As a senior at a major university and a history major I have to say WOW that is a seriously stupid comment. Just because the Nazi party had the word "socialism" in their party name does not mean they were socialists! They were far right. I know Beck preaches otherwise but remember Beck is an idiot and a dropout. How old are you?
@tanzalone1 Socialism = state planned economy. The Nazi believed in a state planned economy so yes they were socialists. No Scandanavian country has a state planned economy, all allow private ownership. No country in the developed world has a state planned economy. Cuba, North Korea are examples of state planned economies. The right and left arguement is not part of socialism as socialists can be both far rigth or far left. Although never in the centre with me.
@arzoyan Slavery in Africa was going on for thousands of years, mainly by governments, so it was socialism. Mao, Stalin, Hitler and Pol Pot all believed in slavery, all were socialists.
I love theory about communism, but in real life I just hate it!!, politicians use to misunderstand the real meaning, they change it as they want so they can win something....
and.... capitalism is indeed necessary but truly... we don´t need anything about capitalism for feeling good... seriously!!
Actually, Marx wrote no such word as Holocaust. A similar word was found in Engels' article "The Magyar Struggle" (1849), and it was merely "Weltsturm-World Storm."
Marx wrote no such words as "revolutionary Holocaust."
In his article "the Magyar Struggle," Engels wrote "All the other large and small nationalities and peoples are destined to perish before long in the revolutionary world storm [German original: revolutionären Weltsturm]. For that reason they are now counter-revolutionary.
"In January 1849, months before he migrated to London, Karl Marx published an article by Friedrich Engels in Die Neue Rheinische Zeitung announcing that in Central Europe only Germans, Hungarians and Poles counted as bearers of progress. The rest must go. "The chief mission of all other races and peoples, large and small, is to perish in the revolutionary holocaust."
But Engels used the word "Weltsturm." You are thoroughly INTELLECTUALLY DISHONEST.
Engels merely parrot the reactionary idea of Hegel, who held earlier, in his "Philosophy of Mind" that nations without state-formation have no history.
I dare say that Hegel was not the black sheep of the flock. Western assimilationist ruthlessly massacred indigenous people and eradicate their culture under the pretext of civilizing them.
Moreover, read Marx-Engels Collected Work Volume 18 to see how years later Engels modified his REACTIONARY viewpoints and became a proponent of anti-colonial struggles.
I visited your channel and see that you have disabled the comment option. Such a coward you are!
I am a Marxian, but I do NOT deny Marx's CLOSETED RACISM (he was an abolitionist and used racist slurs in personal letters only), HIS ANTI-SEMITIC SELBHASS. Nevertheless, Marx was sympathetic towards the poor Jews in Jerusalem, read "Declaration of War. On the History of the Eastern Question," New York Herald Tribune 1854.
"Eine Ware scheint auf den ersten Blick ein selbstverständliches, triviales Ding. Ihre Analyse ergibt, daß sie ein sehr vertracktes Ding ist, voll metaphysischer Spitzfindigkeit und theologischer Mucken."
(Commodity Fetish quote in original German)
"In der platten Ebene erscheinen auch Erdhaufen als Hügel; man messe die Plattheit unsrer heutigen Bourgeoisie am Kaliber ihrer "großen Geister."
"Die Philosophen haben die Welt nur verschieden interpretirt, es kommt darauf an sie zu veraendern."
"All our invention and progress seem to result in endowing material forces with intellectual life, and in stultifying human life into a material force." (originally in English)
Im not interested in dry economic socialism. We are fighting against misery, but we're also fighting against alienation. One of the fundamental objectives of Marxism is to remove interest, the factor of individual interest, and gain, from people's psychological motivations. Marx was preoccupied both with economic factors and with their repercussions on the spirit. If communism isn't interested in this too, it may be a method of distributing goods, but it will never be a revolutionary way of life
well as i have read the Communist Manifesto and Das Capital im pretty sure a lot of these comments bashing socialism are based on media placed knowledge..
In 1887, Paul Lafargue, who was Marx's son-in-law, was a candidate for a council seat in a Paris district that contained a zoo. Engels claimed that Paul had "one eighth or one twelfth nigger blood." In an April 1887 letter to Paul's wife, Engels wrote, "Being in his quality as a nigger, a degree nearer to the rest of the animal kingdom than the rest of us, he is undoubtedly the most appropriate representative of that district."
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I have one, "the classes and the races too weak to master the new conditions of life must give way .. they must perish in the revolutionary holocaust".-karl marx
Now I share NEITHER in the opinions of Ricardo, who regards Net-Revenue as the Moloch to whom entire populations must be sacrificed, without even so much as complaint, nor in the opinion of Sismondi, who, in his hypochondriacal philanthropy, would forcibly retain the superannuated methods of agriculture and proscribe science from industry, as Plato expelled poets from his Republic.
that still does not explain why marx thinks thinks acording to his philosiphy a whole race can be couter revolutionary. Marx based his hatred on cultural hate rather than hitlers genetic hate. If I was chinese and did not want to adopt a western culture as part of a unified 'world goverment "like marx wanated I would be called counter REVOILUTIARY AND KILLED.
That article wasn't written by Marx, but Engels. They were both influenced by Hegel's philosophy of history. However, they RETRACTED most of their pro-colonial writingw in favor of LIBERATION literature, as seen in Volume 18 of their collected works.
Engels opposed pan-Slavism, which he regarded "as childish and REACTIONARY as Pan-Germanism," contradicting his own position during his young age (see Letters from Wuppertal).
Society is undergoing a silent revolution, which must be submitted to, and which takes no more notice of the human existences it breaks down than an earthquake regards the houses it subverts. The classes and the races, too weak to master the new conditions of life, must give way.
But can there be anything more puerile, more short-sighted, than the views of those Economists who believe in all earnest that this WOEFUL TRANSITORY STATE means nothing but ADAPTING SOCIETY TO THE ACQUISITIVE PROPENSITIES OF CAPITALISTS, both landlords and money-lords?
Woah, this was very, very intellectually dishonest... In the first part of the quote Marx *denounced* the attitude of (pro-capitalism) economists of the time who argued that people too weak to adapt to the development of capitalism should disappear... and the second part of the quote doesn't exist.
Please, if you're interested in Marx, try to actually read his works instead of just pasting half-fabricated quotes from some crappy website
that's because socialism is for the poor and libertarianism is for the rich.
the rich get nicer education you see because the government was too busy funding wars in the middle east instead off doing something useful with it like making public education better.
Communism never had chance to show his true face to the world... but our time is coming! Capitalists, you can enjoy present time, and you better do, because future is ours, it's not question is it gonna happen but when. GREETINGS TO ALL FELLOW COMRADES WORLDWIDE FROM RED SERBIA!
Listen dude, I don't want to talk with you, I didn't ask you nothing... and by the number of your comments here it's obvious who needs hobbie... I'm open for discussion only for my fellow comrades
socialism is an amazing system. America has the potential to wield its true power, but it wont, because it is not "profitable"....we can have free health care, better housing, and free college tuition. giving people the training they need, and they wont be rejected because they cant afford it. and since we the people would collectively own the factories and other industries, the distribution of products would best suit us......but what do i know, i'm only 15.
Socialism is another word for slavery and dictatorship.
Nothing is free, you can only force other people to pay for what you use.
The biggest lie of collective ownership is the absolute power of the socialist bureaucrats to control the country's resources in the name of the people.
No The Transitional Stage of Socialism is where the ideas of communism is employed and pay might completely direct with an even smaller chance of theft as the money used to buy and sell commodities is removed with the nesscary products like food clothing buildings are bought through labour not coinage which is by far not slavery
slavery is a capitalist ideology of humans have no rights and so i can pay people tiny amounts just they can barely survive and every result goes on me
Socialist is not a transitional stage it is power in the hands of a few bureaucrats in the name of the "people". A society run and controlled by the state is not slavery? please.
Free trade allows the creation of value and wealth in the market..
Capitalism recognizes the value of the individual's economic and political self-determination and allows for social cooperation and voluntary associations in order for people to achieve their own separate interests.
because in marxs theory state socialism only exists as a phase where the working clas control the means of production and decentralize the state until the point at which the state becomes innesscary and gradually disapear at which it becomes communism and free trade and capitalism and does not allow for individual development and the only real choice it offer is which boss to work for it
Communism which requires neither state nor hierarchy and allows the induvidual to control the product of their own labour and develop or sell as they wish as an iduvidual or as part of a voluntary collective in which everyone has an equal democratic way which is far more free and democratic than the hierarchy structure of capitalism where by the head of a company is only answerable to themselves or a small group which not democractic
how bright and enlightened of you. i mean the mere idea that people might want a society based on fairness, equality and freedom does scare you. I am slave to that terrible ideal that not all people are created or born equal but rather only by the strength of humanity can all people be equal and strive to pursue individual endeavours without the need to be shacked with the burden of greed. I am a slave, a terrible slave.
Bugger me thanks for setting me straight, I was alll confused then...
URSS wasn't true socialism man , but a corrupt and pseudo-socialism , stalin turn the power to his advantage , destroyed all the good things that Lenin and Trotsky did , and after stalin , there was just a corrupted and totalitarian bureaucratie left , that made absolutly not real socialism , read marxist books before talking , pozer
no , if you read marxist books , you'll see that socialism musn't be bureaucratic , that the ( transitionnal ) dictatorship must be done by the working class , not by a leader or party , in the objective of (all) humans emancipation : the real liberty (communism) against the formal liberty (capitalism) .
Wraith, you are HISTORICALLY IGNORANT. The Red Terror was to RETALIATE the White Terror started by Czarist Secret Police Okhrana and White Army Officers.
Have you heard of the "naturalistic fallacy"? Natural does not equal good, nor unnatural bad. Is putting a man on the moon not unnatural? If you're going to say communism is bad for the same reason, well then don't use anything artificial, ever! Besides, communism is no less natural than capitalism, it just encourages a differerent (and better) side of human nature.
Taking bread from the mouth of labourers is exactly what the management class does. That's what profit is.
One role of government within a capitalist system (other than enforcing laws protecting the management class' private ownership of everything) is to take some of that stolen bread and use it to everyone's benefit.
No, the labourers make contracts in advance with their employers and they are paid fully. There is no taking there.
Profit comes by satisfying the needs of the market, thats the way wealth is created.
There is no nobility class in capitalism, everyone is equal under the law and the people gain their property by work, saving and merit, so the taking of the state is just stolen property.
equal under the law ? don't make me laugh , monsanto , coca-cola , cigarette industry , multinationales, colonialist governments killed lots of people and pollute the earth , but their leaders don't go to prison , but when a poor steal a piece of bread to survive , he has to pay . we are not equal under the law in capitalist system , riches control the law to their avantages
"Capitalism is a necessary condition for freedom but it is not the only condition you also need morals and institutions that promote liberty" Milton Friedman.
In a Free Republic with Free Market Capitalism we are all equal under the law and must respect the rights and property of every citizen.
we're absolutly not equal under the law , pdg of big multinationales are the cause of death of lot of people and africa , monsanto killed people with his toxic waste , but did they go in prison ? did they get the capital punishment ? no . the capitalist system has been breed immoral , adam smith said that no ethic , moral control can be applicated against the free market to breed profit , so if they need to enslave , pollute etc... for profit , they can do that (and they do that) ,
Free Markets are a Joke, Everytime Free markets are established in third world countries, they're utter failures. Even Greenspan had a lapse in his "faith."
""Capitalism is a necessary condition for freedom but it is not the only condition you also need morals and institutions that promote liberty" Milton Friedman.
In a Free Republic with Free Market Capitalism we are all equal under the law and must respect the rights and property of every citizen."
Yeah.. Capitalism looks great on paper but fails in practice, as it always leads to wealth (power) being hugely concentrated in the hands of a private oligarchy, ...
that then takes over their governments, which always leads to colonialism and imperialism, hence the hundreds of millions of people killed in for-profit warfare and famines during the last hundreds of years.. And they also own all of the media, constantly whipping the populace into debilitating war-mongering racist hysteria like we see in America all the time... Capitalism is too utopian.
But some of the "bread they are taking" is used for a welfare system. I don't think you would find now, since people have the vote, that they would vote for pure capitalism with no welfare system, as people experienced in Victorian times. Oh, sorry ,I forgot they did have workhouses for the poor!
True communism in its fullest terms will never work.. but what form of governance fully works... democracy always turns into aristocracy. True communism has had its share of mishap but look at Venezuela 12cents for a gallon of gas... our "free" market requires reconsideration.
The problem is not just the rich fat cats, is the people in them selfs, the property will always exist. But what we can change is the "State of party´s" (that´s how italian comunists call this system it´s not a democracy because parlaments are controled by the bosses of the "legal" partys and they are the same people that have the control of the big enterprises, and there is more but i cant explain it in a few linnes) that we have today into
a real democracy based in a real federation that starts from the person.
the free market is a good invention, but it has to be controled, because when they said that the market it´s controled by it self what happens is that the ambition & the greed controls the market, and it becames just pure theft. Also the bank must became public to stop this system of credits, where the state makes the money & gives it to the bank directly to afford the loans, and many more PRACTICAL things can be changed
never ideal things like the "socialist revolution". marx fought deeply all types of idealism & cause that he ended to say before he died "I just know Im not a Marxist")I recommend you all to read proudon, marx, leibniz, adam smith, keynes & einstein,& if you want to know about a place where has happened something similar to this read about the Spanish Revolution, and the Paris Commune.
I can give you a list of the failures of capitalism in the world. Each system can work in its own right, the problem is that true socialism has never been instituted, neither has true communism.
I may be young but i'm not ignorant, you the older generation are ignorant, and have seriously fucked up this world, with your love for greed and your exploitation of countrys less advanced then yours, hopefully my generation will be better.
most people who like socialism like me accept that it will never happen, thats fair enough, the main reason it wont happen is because the rich fat cats wont let it happen though
Actually, Marx was a great philosopher. Him and Darwin showed us how to look at the history without the need for "heroes" that move history. Of course, he also tended to be an imbecil for the working class, and it seems so ridiculous now that someone thought that the working class could be "liberated" by simple control of the means of production. Or that one could have a society without private property and without a huge central state (and thereby no freedom). But don't thrash his philosophy.
It's not a coincidence that nowadays when people refer to someone as Marxist it carries with it all the negative connotations: It's because Carl Marx was a terrible philosopher, whose theories lead to many dozens of millions deaths.
that what has happened in the soviet union had nothing to do with marx. like george orwell, the autor of 1984, said, it was a perversion of marxism and a lot of marxists nowadays criticise leninism or stalinism and keep distance to stuff like that
So now, Karl Marx is a big heroe? Everyone know that what happened in Stallinism area was by comminsim. How about Cuba? Do you like it there? Or would you prefer the Democracy? That is, the U.S. Which one do you prefer? Simple question: Cuba or the U.S.?
you are right in the sense that i would much rather live in the US or western europe, but for the other 3 billion people (an estimate) who live in other countries, they have no choice but to live in poverty under wage slavery. you can blame it on imperialism, colonialism, whatever. capitalism is great for the few but miserable for many more.
well, of course i prefer democracy and so did marx, because he said, the road to socialism is democracy. in countries like cuba or russia, there had never been democracy before the so called socialist revolution and so i stick to george orwells opinion that it was a perversion of marxism. according to marx a socialist or communist society can only originate after capitalism had spread all over to world, so capitalism and democracy within are necessary steps in the development of civilisation.
karl marx said every country will eventually have a proletarian revolution he put the idea forward for others to interpret it to how you do it, lenninists argue that it should come about by only a few revolutionaries running the country who are the most commited to the cause, like what happened in russia that was a lenninist interpretation of what marx said, some say such as luxembourgists that their should be a democratically elected leader to run the country and are focused solely on democracy

TheFernseher09 10 months ago
@TheFernseher09 Once upon a time each and every human being was a cannibal.
We all went through that stage in our history. However, there were "utopians" who urged to abolish such practices - and effectively, there was a progress toward a new stage of human civilization when cannibalism is no longer an accepted and "mundane" comon sense style of living.
IvanKolosnik 8 months ago
@TheFernseher09 If the humankind is ultimately bound to progress (and not to regress and degrade under capitalizm) - the only way is socialism, the highr intellectual and spiritual level for homo sapiens species.
IvanKolosnik 8 months ago
@IvanKolosnik on an idealistic level yes, but as a real world political system-regardles of what kind, there is automatic corruption and distortion of the ideal(s) because it is run by „humankind". There goes the dream and it happens everytime without fail. We are and always will be searching for perfection in an imperfect world.
TheFernseher09 8 months ago
@TheFernseher09 This is due to the absence of accountabitliy/responsibility of elected governemtnt to the people who elect them. When the consituency not only elect thie goevrnment but also JUDGE them upon termination of their term - and decide whether to a) reward them, b) let them sstep down iwthout consequences or c) imprison them for the same period of time then and only then there will be less corruption.
We should strive for better world, always - this is the purpose of our existence.
IvanKolosnik 8 months ago
@IvanKolosnik who’s to say what our purpose in life is? the dichotomy of human nature leaves more than enough room for us to go into many different directions and purposes. Yes-we should strive for a better world, but that we only have one „purpose“ to our existence is again more of an idealistic statement.
TheFernseher09 8 months ago
@TheFernseher09 Thre is only one purpose of the human race's existence - evolution.
If not biological, tthen at least spiritual.
That's why we have cognitive, reasoning and analytical skils: we cannot be just satisfied with what we have (like animals), we need to work on continuous improvement.
Hence our transition from cannibalism and intertribal feud to cooperation and communist civlization of true homo sapiens species.
IvanKolosnik 8 months ago
@IvanKolosnik everything evolves physically, living as well as non-living matter-this statement can apply to virtually anything. As for „spiritual“ being, this is merely a conceptualization for something that nobody really understands. A logical connection from cannibalism to communism eludes me, there may be confusion between the „ism’s“? Yes, humans build communities, but so do many other creatures and without the need for an unrealizable manifesto. Good intentions don’t always lead to good.

(I guess the only thing they lacked for democracy was free elections as long as the constitution preserved the planned economy and the rights of the people)...
Sorry brother, but even Marx said that a state should exist to administrate the economy, while the people would have control over that state, because with no politicians at all, there would be nobody to plan the national economy and enforce law, and, in consequence, criminality would go sky high and the people would face shortages as
Vict0r1984 11 months ago
during Lenin's rule for example, and in the pre-Stalinist Soviet Union (1917-1924) communism and democracy had almost been accomplished. Several new politics, like the legalization of freedom of speech, the growth of the wages, the women liberation politics and legalization of contraception, the construction of thousands of blocks of apartments for providing better housing proved than not only the state had control over the economy, but the people had some control over the state back then
Vict0r1984 11 months ago
@arzoyan: I agree with you and I am in favour of democratic socialism as well (Trotskyism more precisely), but regarding the fact that we don't need politicians, it really depends of whom we are talking about. Yes, we don't need any of these pro-corporate and big business supporters we see nowadays as both conservatives and liberals, who either do not realize how capitalism massively exploits the proletarians or support its economic dictatorship, but the workers could organize in cooperatives

@nosferatomonos then why blame the Germans to have concentration camps? you don't know anything of communism, and stalin didn't change it. it's jewish dictatorship. Lenin already masssacred the farmers by the millions. communism is the enemy.
salamander162A 1 year ago
@salamander162A no, stupidity in addition to ignorance and nationalism are the enemies- so just look in the mirror. jewish dictatorship? so kill all the jews and we have a nice wolrd, eh? idiot. capitalism works by occupying the whole way we organize our lives, and not through the secret plans of an "evil minority". people like you just want to perserve the current system by keeping its benefits for oneself and putting its burdens on the shoulders of those that you call evil.
nosferatomonos 1 year ago
@salamander162A yeah yeah and to the bolshevists: they were cruel fighters in the russian civil war that lastet over 20 years. also lenin and trotzky are to blame for many crimes against humanity, no doubt, BUT: these were acts of war, they had a political purpose. in some cases i even would say that they had an excuse for what they did, but of course in most cases not. but the nazis did not act out of the necessites of war, the holocaust was the pure result of their sick ideology
nosferatomonos 1 year ago
@nosferatomonos Germany just wanted to get the jews out of the country, that's all. Germany didn't want a Soviet revolution to happen just as the jews had done in Moscow and Petersburg. that was the sole reason for the internment camps, and the genocide is made up by the evil KGB. communists are the world's mass murderers.
salamander162A 1 year ago
@salamander162A there is no use of arguing with a paranoid like yourself. i am german and i visited varius concentration camps. my grandmother that died three years ago in the age of 100 (she was born 1907) was a national-socialist until the end, she worked for the executiv office of the wehrmacht. so don't tell me "the truth" about the 3. Reich. it was a system built for the benefits of german industrialists, exploiting workers and minorities to their blood
nosferatomonos 1 year ago
@salamander162A yes and the german people let it happen because they were told they worked and fought for a higher purpose called "germany". in reality it fulfilled the purpose of german capitalist to get rid of the leftwing opposition, and when they were done with them they turned to the jews, each jewish individual, making no difference if the person was political or neutral, rich or poor, they came for every single one in order to "clean german blood"
nosferatomonos 1 year ago
@salamander162A my grandmother kept a copy of "mein kampf", i read the whole book. man this book was published in 1926 (!), seven years before hitler became chancellor. it's all in their, the nazi desire for a second wolrd war, the description of jews being "subhuman beings", that the aryan race would have to be saved from jewish contamination, jews being labeled "parasites"... the holocaust wasn't made up by some conspirators, it was the consequence of national-socialist sickness
nosferatomonos 1 year ago
@nosferatomonos Jews are not being called "subhuman"in this book Mein kampf, and i don't have to remind YOU, that in your Talmud every Goyim, or non-Jew is branded "cattle", and to be used and abused by the Jew? everything you jews accuse hitler of, you're doing the same only ten times worse. We only have to look at what the state of Israel is doing to palestinians and we all know the answer. That is what awaits society in a Marxist dictatorship.
salamander162A 1 year ago
@salamander162A ohh thanks for the compliment but i am not jewish... although i'd prefer it instead of being labeled "master race" by some fascist retards. no as i told you i'm german and in the direct family line of formerly proud NSDAP-members (until the "Empire of the 1000 years" collapsed in total defeat after 12 years), but i am more of that back-stabbing kind of germans as you can see!
nosferatomonos 1 year ago
@salamander162A well and if you actually read that "great book of the aryan nation" mein kampf (i'd rather call it the "great book of the retarded") you'd know very well how jews are described in there. hitler just tries to make a bad copy of marx, changing "class combat" into a race-war. hitler says that of all races, the jewish would be the lowermost one, and so they would have to "infect" other races with their genes, and this they try to achieve through the means of communism... sick!!!
nosferatomonos 1 year ago

You should have checked your source.

But Engels used the word "Weltsturm." You are thoroughly INTELLECTUALLY DISHONEST.
Engels merely parrot the reactionary idea of Hegel, who held earlier, in his "Philosophy of Mind" that nations without state-formation have no history.

If communism isn't interested in this too, it may be a method of distributing goods, but it will never be a revolutionary way of life

most libertarians are stupid ignorant morons who don't like paying tax. A few of them are actually intelligent though.
MaxwellBennett 2 years ago
According to "Psychology Today" statistically speaking libertarians are much more intelligent than socialists
Wraith23 2 years ago
that's because socialism is for the poor and libertarianism is for the rich.
the rich get nicer education you see because the government was too busy funding wars in the middle east instead off doing something useful with it like making public education better.

socialism is an amazing system.
IHateAmus 2 years ago 2
Socialism is another word for slavery and dictatorship.
Nothing is free, you can only force other people to pay for what you use.
The biggest lie of collective ownership is the absolute power of the socialist bureaucrats to control the country's resources in the name of the people.
Wraith23 2 years ago
No The Transitional Stage of Socialism is where the ideas of communism is employed and pay might completely direct with an even smaller chance of theft as the money used to buy and sell commodities is removed with the nesscary products like food clothing buildings are bought through labour not coinage which is by far not slavery
slavery is a capitalist ideology of humans have no rights and so i can pay people tiny amounts just they can barely survive and every result goes on me
pennyforyou 2 years ago
Socialist is not a transitional stage it is power in the hands of a few bureaucrats in the name of the "people". A society run and controlled by the state is not slavery? please.
Free trade allows the creation of value and wealth in the market..
Capitalism recognizes the value of the individual's economic and political self-determination and allows for social cooperation and voluntary associations in order for people to achieve their own separate interests.
Wraith23 2 years ago
Thats Wrong
because in marxs theory state socialism only exists as a phase where the working clas control the means of production and decentralize the state until the point at which the state becomes innesscary and gradually disapear at which it becomes communism and free trade and capitalism and does not allow for individual development and the only real choice it offer is which boss to work for it

Free your mind
Wraith23 2 years ago
how bright and enlightened of you. i mean the mere idea that people might want a society based on fairness, equality and freedom does scare you. I am slave to that terrible ideal that not all people are created or born equal but rather only by the strength of humanity can all people be equal and strive to pursue individual endeavours without the need to be shacked with the burden of greed. I am a slave, a terrible slave.
Bugger me thanks for setting me straight, I was alll confused then...
franks2732 2 years ago
A socialist talking of freedom and fairness? thanks a needed a good laugh.
Equality in misery and mindless collectivism under an omnipotent state sounds more appropriate for you.
Learn a little about libertarianism, what you call "greed" is only the desire of self-determination and the respect for individual liberty.

Volsem 2 years ago
Weak defense for a mediocre system.
I could easily use the same argument for capitalism.
By the way Lenin started the red terror.
Wraith23 2 years ago
no , if you read marxist books , you'll see that socialism musn't be bureaucratic , that the ( transitionnal ) dictatorship must be done by the working class , not by a leader or party , in the objective of (all) humans emancipation : the real liberty (communism) against the formal liberty (capitalism) .

Global Anarchy = Communism on a local level. aka real liberty.

Capitalism HAHA you make me laugh
The U.S. hasn't truly been Capitalist since
the days of Hoover. "A wise and Frugal Government shall not take the bread from the mouth of labor from which it has earned." Thomas Jefferson
sc11dude 2 years ago
Taking bread from the mouth of labourers is exactly what the management class does. That's what profit is.
One role of government within a capitalist system (other than enforcing laws protecting the management class' private ownership of everything) is to take some of that stolen bread and use it to everyone's benefit.
OHiOfiOviriiO 2 years ago
No, the labourers make contracts in advance with their employers and they are paid fully. There is no taking there.
Profit comes by satisfying the needs of the market, thats the way wealth is created.
There is no nobility class in capitalism, everyone is equal under the law and the people gain their property by work, saving and merit, so the taking of the state is just stolen property.
Wraith23 2 years ago
equal under the law ? don't make me laugh , monsanto , coca-cola , cigarette industry , multinationales, colonialist governments killed lots of people and pollute the earth , but their leaders don't go to prison , but when a poor steal a piece of bread to survive , he has to pay . we are not equal under the law in capitalist system , riches control the law to their avantages
Volsem 2 years ago 3
"Capitalism is a necessary condition for freedom but it is not the only condition you also need morals and institutions that promote liberty" Milton Friedman.
In a Free Republic with Free Market Capitalism we are all equal under the law and must respect the rights and property of every citizen.
PD: Coca-cola killed lots of people?...... LOL
Wraith23 2 years ago
we're absolutly not equal under the law , pdg of big multinationales are the cause of death of lot of people and africa , monsanto killed people with his toxic waste , but did they go in prison ? did they get the capital punishment ? no . the capitalist system has been breed immoral , adam smith said that no ethic , moral control can be applicated against the free market to breed profit , so if they need to enslave , pollute etc... for profit , they can do that (and they do that) ,
Volsem 2 years ago 3
Free Markets are a Joke, Everytime Free markets are established in third world countries, they're utter failures. Even Greenspan had a lapse in his "faith."

Yeah.. Capitalism looks great on paper but fails in practice, as it always leads to wealth (power) being hugely concentrated in the hands of a private oligarchy, ...
Dalambam 2 years ago
that then takes over their governments, which always leads to colonialism and imperialism, hence the hundreds of millions of people killed in for-profit warfare and famines during the last hundreds of years.. And they also own all of the media, constantly whipping the populace into debilitating war-mongering racist hysteria like we see in America all the time... Capitalism is too utopian.
Dalambam 2 years ago
But some of the "bread they are taking" is used for a welfare system. I don't think you would find now, since people have the vote, that they would vote for pure capitalism with no welfare system, as people experienced in Victorian times. Oh, sorry ,I forgot they did have workhouses for the poor!
heliotropezzz333 2 years ago
True communism in its fullest terms will never work.. but what form of governance fully works... democracy always turns into aristocracy. True communism has had its share of mishap but look at Venezuela 12cents for a gallon of gas... our "free" market requires reconsideration.
McFat91 2 years ago
The problem is not just the rich fat cats, is the people in them selfs, the property will always exist. But what we can change is the "State of party´s" (that´s how italian comunists call this system it´s not a democracy because parlaments are controled by the bosses of the "legal" partys and they are the same people that have the control of the big enterprises, and there is more but i cant explain it in a few linnes) that we have today into
raphardcore01 2 years ago
a real democracy based in a real federation that starts from the person.
the free market is a good invention, but it has to be controled, because when they said that the market it´s controled by it self what happens is that the ambition & the greed controls the market, and it becames just pure theft. Also the bank must became public to stop this system of credits, where the state makes the money & gives it to the bank directly to afford the loans, and many more PRACTICAL things can be changed
raphardcore01 2 years ago
never ideal things like the "socialist revolution". marx fought deeply all types of idealism & cause that he ended to say before he died "I just know Im not a Marxist")I recommend you all to read proudon, marx, leibniz, adam smith, keynes & einstein,& if you want to know about a place where has happened something similar to this read about the Spanish Revolution, and the Paris Commune.
raphardcore01 2 years ago
I can give you a list of the failures of capitalism in the world. Each system can work in its own right, the problem is that true socialism has never been instituted, neither has true communism.

Terrible.

FreakishDonQuixote 2 years ago
What? You a big fan of him? Did you like what Stallin did?
cjla1987 2 years ago
that what has happened in the soviet union had nothing to do with marx. like george orwell, the autor of 1984, said, it was a perversion of marxism and a lot of marxists nowadays criticise leninism or stalinism and keep distance to stuff like that
alex030984 2 years ago
So now, Karl Marx is a big heroe? Everyone know that what happened in Stallinism area was by comminsim. How about Cuba? Do you like it there? Or would you prefer the Democracy? That is, the U.S. Which one do you prefer? Simple question: Cuba or the U.S.?
cjla1987 2 years ago
you are right in the sense that i would much rather live in the US or western europe, but for the other 3 billion people (an estimate) who live in other countries, they have no choice but to live in poverty under wage slavery. you can blame it on imperialism, colonialism, whatever. capitalism is great for the few but miserable for many more.
gohomeman123 2 years ago
well, of course i prefer democracy and so did marx, because he said, the road to socialism is democracy. in countries like cuba or russia, there had never been democracy before the so called socialist revolution and so i stick to george orwells opinion that it was a perversion of marxism. according to marx a socialist or communist society can only originate after capitalism had spread all over to world, so capitalism and democracy within are necessary steps in the development of civilisation.
alex030984 2 years ago
karl marx said every country will eventually have a proletarian revolution he put the idea forward for others to interpret it to how you do it, lenninists argue that it should come about by only a few revolutionaries running the country who are the most commited to the cause, like what happened in russia that was a lenninist interpretation of what marx said, some say such as luxembourgists that their should be a democratically elected leader to run the country and are focused solely on democracy
