I have blender 2.5 I did everything right up until the game logic. I can even move the slider in Dopesheet and watch it move just like I want it to. When I went in to game logic, I did everything exactly the way you did (except for I believe the actuator is called "shape action" in 2.5) When I go into game mode and press space, nothing happens. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
@metalx1000 Thank you so much! It finally works. I'm still new to blender and all these past edition tutorials are throwing me off (other than that one spot yours was one of the most useful for me).
would it be possible to make just a dynamic door that when you walk into it it swings open on a hinge but is still dynamic? like make the door a rigid body with and armature on the wall?
How would you make a door to where only when you walk into it, it opens? If you could do a follow-up tutorial that would be awesome. And if you do, could you make it a double door. You don't realize how much that would help. So thanks for you time. 6daylater
@6daylater: I made the tutorial right after my last post. But, I just upgraded my system and there seems to be a bug with GTK-Recordmydesktop, which is what I do my screen recording with. So, I have to figure out what the problem is and re-film it. But, I'll have it up as soon as I do that.

@leonlim2008: Sorry, I've been slacking on the Blender tutorials. Don't worry I have a few more coming up (not really gamer tutorials, just Blender in general).
I've played with 2.5 just a little. It looks great, but I haven't had time to sit down and really learn it.
heres a tip for you if you grab a arrow when you select an object and then press s it will scale it down on the arrow you selected
