I agree totally. It was ashy and smelled of the 4th of July. I resorted to shallow breaths in the cloud which really didn't last long as it passed by us. It should be noted, we parked at Central & Catalina and still had plenty ash on the truck.
They spent several months doing abatement of the building and probably had an inspection or two from ADEQ as well.
Fun for my family and I & who knows if we'll have a chance to see something like this since the last one was about 30 years ago.

It's mostly just dust, it was only a frame left. There's lots of dust in Phoenix.
