I've played a brand new Scandalli and I was NOT impressed with it. I have played a couple of Dallape's and I like them.  I have played this digital accordion, which is amazing!! If you close your eyes and somebody was playing one, you would not know it was digital! IF you have not tried one you don't know what you are missing.

Try a Petosa and you will never want to go back to anything else. I also find the Beltuna to be a fine instrument. The victoria and Pigini are great as well. If I was to rate accordions today it would be as follows:

1. Petosa

2. Beltuna

3. Pigini

4. Victoria

Yes. On this accordion it is impossible to play without bellows. Sensitive sensor controls react to movements of fur.

Great playing. However, I can easily find the difference between this instrument and a piano accordion. The bass sound in a piano accordion has a good depth that is missing in this instrument. :(

Actually, this is not an accordion bass sound, it's one of bass guitar sounds Roland has in addition to traditional "accordion" bass (which is very close to original).

What most non-accordionists may fail to recognize is even more impressive. The Roland FR-7 is an entirely DIGITAL accordion. The sounds you are hearing are sampled and digitally regenerated. There is not a genuine old fashioned acoustic reed in the entire instrument! It's lightweight, got great touch sensitivity to the bellows and it NEVER goes out of tune. For listeners, it's as good as the real thing. For players, it's even better.
