Frankfurt is nen super Flughafen - bin selbst paar mal im Jahr für nen paar Tage dort

@jorandb Frankfurt is awful compared to Dubai,Hongkong or Singapore. Overbuilt,unfriendly,huge distances..not a hub for the future..no wonder that Lufthansa fears Emirates.

@poskyflyer But they do, they refer to them when comparing the building projects at overcrowded Frankfurt airport, they do when it comes to the question why they only bought 15 A380 and EK over 50...many european carriers are not to comfortable about neither EK nor QR, they didn t fanthom taht there would be hubs in the middle east and that these carriers would cut the fares to for example asia or africa. Frankfurt was great in 1975 since then it has become a hub of delays and tiring walks.

@am1966ath lufhtansa only bought 15 because they have 29 existing 747-400s in their fleet and have 20 747-8i on order i have been through frankfurt dozens of times and i have never had an issue, lufthansa and other european airlines will not faulter because of some majic carpet flying airline i will always take lufthansa klm air france etc before i take the towel twister airline

@poskyflyer Have you heard about Swissair/Sabena?? I have had many issues at Frankfurt..and european carriers were used to european government bailing them out( AF 2billion euro) and Alitalia is a flying nightmare..I can assure you that the middle eastern carriers have a superior service to the europeans, and that Lufthansa fears both them and the ugly but very rich Ryanair. Things are not what they used to be and many carriers like SAS are living dangerously.

Ich wohne genau in der Einflugsschneise vom Frankfurter Airport! MIch fasziniert immernoch, wie die Piloten fliegen und welche Flugzeugtypen am Himmel erscheinen!
