@legodarknight101 Just like TP&HB are one of world's most underrated bands ever, I accidently discovered them a year or 2 ago, never heard of them before, now I have 200 Petty songs on my iPod and loving each one of them a little more every day haha

I have nothing against Steve at all but I miss Stan! I loved him! Although, I must say that Steve does seem to fit in a little better with the group as far as his drumming style goes but Stan was there from the beginning and he did a lot of their big hits.

Mike Campbell has obviously been influenced by Jimmy Page. His delivery is just(minisculy) off time, which is exactly what page did. It's better than a 7th chord for creating :anticipation. Good stuff.

Tom has a wonderful, even silly sense of humor.Lighting on the time frame you referenced has him looking like Edgar Winter :) Add his mischievous little grin & body language, classic Petty.

Don't know if you've noticed but he's like other famous Southern singers, good example would be the late great Johnny Cash, who don't take kindly to over politically correct ppl, corporate driven media maggots & recording rats. You'll see a lil "Southern Kiss" just for them now & then :)
