  • Of course this looks like shit, anyone can see that. No need for further bitching.

  • You can always set it with a green mineral powder. About the make up sponges, it is her choice whether she wants to use it or not. And when you think about all the sponges and qui-tips used, it is a lot of stuff getting thrown out so I understand what she's getting at.

  • Did she just mix her own moisturizer with food coloring?!?

  • tea spoon or table spoon?

  • Damn that looks awful. I am thoroughly disappointed.

  • i make fake blood with corn syrup red food colouring and sometimes water depending on how thick i want it :)

  • UPLOADED ON MY BIRTHDAY!! YEEE!

  • a great way to get off all that naturel is organic sugar lemon juice and green tea

  • i LOVE all your tutorials .. but seriously you guys have NO right to dis respect an artist or make fun of them soo please stick to D I Y _ing

  • LOL my dad dated Daryl Hannah back on the day... weird.

  • yeah b/c the green didnt really cover well ... maby its b/c its not dry yet ?? idk lol

  • the girl who teached how to make fake blood said it was delicious XD another thing if u want to be more creepy ;D

  • too liquid looks like some kind of seeweed face mask not makup... wouldn't want to tuch the face during the whole night

  • 0.16 Michael Jackson mask??!! XDDD LOL

  • Easy and Delicious Fake Blood Recipe I used for my Horror Themed 18th:

-Microwave Glucose Syrup (I think this is symilar to Cornsyrup, I used two jars and ended up with about a litre or blood)

-Mix in water to right consistency

-Add Red food colouring (I used two bottles of Queens Pillarbox Red, at this point it will look really cartoony and unrealistic)

-Mix in a couple of teaspoons of Cocoa Powder (this makes it look clotted and this stuff dries really realistically)

    Store it in the fridge

  • Why make fake blood? Use ketchup xD (I did, I was longing for fries all night xD but it looks quite realistic ^^ ) Anyway, the "Make-up" in this video looks a lot like a face mask or something. I prefer make-up powder.

But it's a nice idea when you're out of your own Eco-Make-up ^^

  • Don't corrines cheeks look COMPLETELY different before & after snapping her fingers??? Look at 2:01 and after it's like she has snap on cheeks....wow!!! :-)

  • mine is you get fake blod and fake skin you atach it on you face tare a hole in the fake skin an put fake blode around it .

  • I save my used sponges, cut them up and make bouncy stuffed animals with them. As a stuffing they have a lot of squishy, springy, bouncing-back give, great for kids' toys.

  • HAHA micheal jackson!

  • hihi:D

I was lucky enough to be a 'severed arm' in a charity haunted house! Tiring holding up my arm thru hole in table, but we did take breaks:) The 'blood' and cuts on my arm were made with corn syrup, red food coloring and a sprinkling of used coffee grounds..looked like dried blood with grit and yuck! Don't know why but it didn't stain my skin, did exfoliate in shower tho, maybe that helped:)

Why don't witches get prego? Cause the husbands have hallow weenies :D I know..:)

    Happy Halloween!

  • beetroot and turmeric will STAIN your skin...

doesn't threadbanger have any original content? it always seems to be stuff from other peoples work plus their self promotion and adverts.

    :(

  • that make up sucks footballs

  • I think it definitely needs to be thicker.

  • BleedingSanctuary has a point. Won't the food coloring stay on our skin longer? I don't want to look like there's something wrong with my skin for a week :(

so how'd it come off corine? did it come off good? or did you have still have some green after washing?

  • since your not putting food coloring directly on your face, there shouldn't be a problem. The cold cream and water dialutes it. But as with any make up, you should always test a small area to be safe.

  • lol, she said 'etsyian'.

and i like the whole idea of making our own makeup, but would't the food coloring chemicals absorb into our skins also?

and the cream she made was just not solid enough D:

  • food dye would dye your skin too.

  • So what if its not exactly perfect! experiement until you get the right consistency. I'd rather put this stuff on my face than all of those toxic chemicals that are in store bought halloween makeup. YUCK. at least you won't break out and won't possibly have a stained face. good job corinne!

  • People people people its just Halloween...if your not gonna say nothing nice well dont say it...at least she gave us an idea its not like she's obligating us to do it..you people have to be thankful that at least she made some time to post this video....THANKS CORINNE

  • It wasn't a great result tbh. the makeup was too transparent. It works for a witch but if you were trying to paint faces it wouldn't be an ideal choice. I'd say buy the stuff from the online sites if you can

  • well if u want to make the colour more intense,u can just add more food colouring.

  • It's not the colour intensity so much as the transparancy of the mixture

  • ... it did look like a facial mask. make it thicker?

  • that looks more like a mud mask... and it would get all over your wig and clothes....

  • its wasn't dried yet when i filmed the finished product. it actually dried very well.

  • that "makeup" doesn't look good at all. It's a very faint green.

  • is it that hard to wash your hands before you put the makeup on? i never use makeup sponges to apply makeup and i have never had a problem with break outs. and yes its a huge waste. if all the women or men in the world who wear makeup used makeup sponges it would be a huge injustice to the planet.

    xoxo c

  • i completely agree, sponges are a waste, if you don't want to use sponges or your fingers, you can always invest in some good brushes that will last.

  • all i have to say is....halloween.

i don't know who doesn't look "ridiculous" with green makeup on their face. it was an experiment, not my recipe, i was trying it out for the first time. geez, take a chill pill. thats why i asked people to post their own recipes in the comments. lets not get all judgmental. halloween is supposed to be fun not all serious and shiznit.

    xoxo c

  • wow, that was a really shitty makeup job :(

  • it looks really bad.

    ):

  • i think it needed to be a taad thicker..? idk.. but i also think it just looked like those skin face masks people put on befor bed [okaaay, ill admit it, i use the ugly green face masks haha]

  • cool, personally though I never wear halloween make up, I would always scratch it off as a kid

  • when i use the coldcream stuff it always makes me break out, and it never dries :(

  • Using your fingers to apply makeup can cause break outs. And not to bitch but the FD&C dye is not to organic there.

  • i'm glad you brought up this issue. plus, people buy new makeup for halloween, and aren't likely to use it all. they probably won't want to keep track of it until next year so they'll throw the rest out

  • If you mix your normal base makeup (ie. Covergirl creamy natural is what I use) with green food coloring it does a fine job for creating this type of witch look. I know, I've used it before and it stayed on like regular makeup base. I also used it on my neck, ears and hands as well. :D

  • that makeup looked like crap...

  • The makeup doesn't seem thick enough for a classic spooky which. Maybe you should add more corn starch. The fake blood by Max California looks amazing.

  • thats pretty cool. I like how its easy

because i work with kids and that would

be an awsome thing to do with them

    they will love it!

    thanks.

  • Het does anybody know how to make fake blood that doesn't stain a dress. I want to put some on my dress but I was to also wash it out so I can reuse it for a schoool project without the blood. Any tips I would love to know

  • This is little weird i had a problem like this. So what I did is i went and bought some very fine veil and colored that with the blood and let it dry the pinned it on the dress. tip: buy a veil that matches the color of the dress and pin it really well or use some clear thread.

  • NO, SORRY, I WANT TO DO THAT SO BAD WITH MY COMMUNION DRESS FOR A DEAD BRIDE!!!!!! sorry for the caps. well, i hope you find a recipe out!-Haley

  • at my school, own teacher mixed acrylic paint with Jhonson's baby shampoo to make face paint. you might wanna test it out first, but i THINK she said it didn't stain when there's baby shampoo in it. hope this helps!

  • Now the beet juice would definitely stain your skin.

  • yes it would!!!! i love to eat beets with my fingers and the beets always turn my fingers red lol... so it's probably not a good idea to put beet juice on your skin like vitaR86 was saying....

  • but it doesn't stay on your fingers forever right?

most halloween makeup i've used stains in some way. i would rather it be beets than anything else.

  • I think if you are going for just a tint of color, this is perfect! I thought the make-up gave off a ghoulish effect, but not an overkill.

  • I LOVE the idea of having eco-friendly make-up, but the green face paste should have been more vibrant. Maybe try adding in more green and making it a tad bit thicker...I'd say use more corn starch as well...that always thickens things up.

  • Did it dry at all? I'd just be worried about it rubbing off on everything... (I burrow my face into things all the time)

  • the more corn starch you add the more it dries...i don't know how much face burrowing it could handle though;)

  • won't food colouring stainnnn your face!!??

  • it came off quite easily! no traces of green on my face...who am i, dr suess?

    xoxoxo c

  • it looks lumpy, uneven and honetly. quite crappy

  • yeah, i agree with uneven. it was an experiment. but i like the effect it had. it wasn't lumpy at all though. if you have some better options i would love to hear them:)

    xoxo c

  • cool :)

  • that was great.

    thanks alot!

  • haha eww i hate fake blood or anykind of blood!!

  • the makeup seems a little thin and the color isn't very vibrant i imagine the cold cream really lightens any colors you are trying to make. how would you get black?

  • add more cornstarch for it to be thicker.

    - Iris (roots), Sumac (leaves), and Carob (that stuff used to make fake chocolate) can be used to make black or really, really dark gray.

  • try mixing a whole bunch of dark colors... sooner or later your bound to come up with black!

  • nice seventh viewer and first comment! <3
