Hellhammer didnt even use single strokes on the recored and im pretty sure he isnt doing singles live.

Obviously Hellhammer can play it, he recorded the song. Despite the fact that Hellhammer has rarely played live with Dimmu Borgir, when their live drummers play this song live, they do 16th note triplets instead of the 32nd notes because it matches the guitar better at that part of the song.

I like the "complicated" drum tracks on Abrahadabra, and the speed of In Sorte Diaboli, I can't really give my opinion of which one is better, both are great albums. (Not to meantion Stormblast 2005, also Hellhammer drumming, just as great as those two I just mentioned)

pretty close for the most part, off here and there and a couple parts are wrong. maybe try practicing with a metronome a bit more for double bass work. sometimes it is hard with fast double bass work to tell that the bpm is off, especially, when your hands are as busy as they are with dimmu!!

agree with the part that everyone thinks that, but some of those who use triggers abuse it! the module is on maximum and a little windblow could set them of! what im trying to say is that people who do this use it the wrong way because they place their pedal-heads 2-2,5 centimeters from the drumskin. and without the triggers there is NO power behind the stroke! many people think George Kollias(drummer of Nile) "cheats" but if you hear when he is playing(escpecially) on drum cams, you hear POWER!

I can pretty much garuntee that Hellhammer uses triggers. I havn't put the effort into researching it, but you can tell because of the speed and constant sound, it's pretty much not physically possible to do that. Lol I do think this guy is using a bass drum trigger, but everything else sounds mic'd. But yes. Still good, the both of them.
