Hey there.. yeah, the Candyshell case fits on both the 3G and the 3GS

Well the Candyshell is a great case and protects just about everywhere except the face of the phone which you can just use a screen shield.. The Otterbox definitely provides even more protection but it is very thick and bulky.. but does come with a clip which is nice.. I usually only use mine if I will be spending time outdoors or at public venues in case I drop it but I would use the candyshell more on a day to day basis than the Otterbox. Great review bro. The candyshell is my all-time favorite case. The soft inner liner/tough outer shell is a tank. It's kept my 3gs scratch free since I've had it because of the rubber liner (I do take it out once every couple weeks to blow the dust off from around the edges.

The white CS has a small nub on the inside of the lock button that isn't there on my jawbreaker CS --which definitely makes it a bit easier to push. It's there on my black/gray one too. (can you tell I love these cases? lol)

Yeah, the red and white cranberry is part of the first Candyshell cases that Speck came out with.. so right now they are kind of rare. That might be why they raised the price to $48.. but that is crazy, I would never spend $48 on a case. They have the new candyshells out now for around $25

So how many drops could this take from about 5 feet to concrete without hurting the phone in some way?

I am not really sure because I have never done drop tests with cases, but the candyshell is a very durable case.. the rubber silicone inside protects against shock and the then you still have the outer hard plastic shell.. I think 5 feet would be no problem, probably more than that even.

I have never actually dropped my case with a candyshell. I dropped it once with an Incase Slider on a kitchen vinyl floor but that's the only time I dropped my phone. It was about 4 feet and didn't hurt the phone

I do like the first series of Candy Shell cases, but I have not tried the new ones yet.. I heard that the bottom on some of them was kind of loose.. but I will eventually get one and try it for myself. I noticed that the darker Candy Shells show more scratches than the lighter ones do. yeah now that i think about it i think i should of gotten the white one instead of the black one cuz on the black one i had like 3 days with it and it looked like if i had scratched my case on purpose u could see em right away... but its a great case and its better to have the scratches on the case and not on the ipod/iphone..

Yeah, I agree that it is better to have the scratches on your case, but I know what you mean.. the darker candyshells do show more scratches.. I have the Key Lime Jawbreaker which is a dark grey, at it shows scratches.. the white one seems to hide them better. Thanks for the comment.

Nice video! I'm excited for the new colours, I hope with a new line and my new 3GS, I won't see the same problems I did with my first Candyshell. (It was far too tight and pushed against the top of the volume rocker and forced the volume all the way up.)

Hey there, I love the white phone.. unlike other people that may have had some problems with theirs, I have had absolutely no problem with mine at all.. no cracks or scratches whatsoever.. and I change my case at least once a day. If you do get one and you have problems with it, you do have the Apple warranty to have them take care of it if you need to. I am glad I got the white, it looks really good with transparent cases.
