  • Is it reasonable to doubt your own salvation if you do not bear any fruits of the spirit? I think the answer is yes! This is why the evidence of our works gives us assurance. Yes we may be saved but lack assurance but what saved person would want to remain uncertain?

  • My idea of Lordship salvation is this: Christ saved me from my sin, therefore He is now to be LORD of my life. We don't attain salvation by works. We're saved by repenting(change of heart and mind about our sin) and placing our faith in Christ to save us from our sin. Acts 2:36 "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ." Jesus is not only our Savior, but HE is also our LORD once we've believed on Him.

  • This is a very sad misrepresentation of MacArthur's teaching. I personally find it shameful that a person who claims Christ would resort to this kind of dishonesty. John MacArthur has NEVER said that works are necessary for salvation. But that works should be the result of our becoming a new creation in Christ.

  • Do you teach that we should rely entirely on the righteousness of Christ imputed to us by faith alone as the ground for God being 100 percent for us after which necessary sanctification comes? This is Lordship salvation.

  • @jcr4runner,

Lordship Salvation teaches that the Gospel is a call to obedience.

It teaches that we are justified by law-keeping.

Go read John MacArthur's "An Introduction To Lordship Salvation."

    Get a clue.

  • @CalvinistChurch

"Lordship Salvation teaches that the Gospel is a call to obedience"

2 Thess 1:8 "In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:"

I'm pretty sure the Gospel is a call to obedience, true faith is synonymous with good works(obedience) following.

James 1:21-25 is also slightly in contradiction to your words claiming that those who continue in the law of liberty(love) are not deceived, but those who don't-are.

  • @droptozro,

You need to take a class in logic.

You are equivocating on the term 'Gospel.'

Since you are uneducated in Biblical Christianity,

know that the term 'Gospel' has more than one use in Scripture.

2 Thess. 1:8 uses the term in its wide sense, while 1 Cor. 15:1-4 uses the term in its narrow saving sense, the sense we are discussing. Take your irrational drivel back to Rome. Learn Law / Gospel Distinction, chump.

  • @CalvinistChurch I'm sorry, but if you have to name call (ie callsomeone chump) then what is the value of your distinction. it does you know good.

all you need to do to prove me right is call me names as well, so if you are really irritated that i speak thus you had better make no reply.

I was going to comment otherwise, for i also hold Lordship salvation is a heresy. but what is the point?

  • Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?

    Mark 10:17-31

  • @bradleesargent,

    Romans 3:28--The Pope is Antichrist.

  • Therefore I'm saved by grace, justified by sincere faith unto the True God of scripture. How did I obtain this faith? By God's grace! What does this faith which is obtained by grace cause?Genuine Repentance. What does repentance cause? A complete shift of serving self to serving Christ and surrendering to Him all that I am, can man have that kind of power? No, Holy Spirit is needed, therefore, we conclude, I received the Holy Spirit by Grace!

  • @JacobGboy AMEN!

  • @mbaren58,

You're equivocating on the term 'Lordship Salvation.'

    Got Logic?

  • @mbaren58 Yeah, yeah, you are an arrogant, pompous JACKASS!

If jesus is your lord, why don't you show it in the small things too like, for instance writing Jesus is LORD! Like it does in Scripture. You make Him sound like your lackey!

  • @mbaren58,

So, you agree with Lordship Salvation: men are justified by faith and works?

Don't be afraid to answer, chump.

  • You can not deny these verses: Esphesians 2:8 James 2:17, Hebrew 5:9, and the words of Christ, Matt 7:21-27You are saved by Grace!Justified By Sincere Faith!Sincere Faith is Living Faith!Living Faith is faith with works that give testimony of your faith! These works are in context of God's grace, for God predestined good works to walk in (ephesians2:10)All we do is obey, in context of grace and faith! To love=to obey, to obey= to love (John14:15) Conclusion, All God wants is you sincerly Love!

  • @JacobGboy,

Notice how this guy defines faith to mean good works. He's a complete heretic.

We are saved by belief alone. We are not saved by any of our works. Romans 3:38 and Ephesians 2:8-9 refutes JacobBboy's Roman Catholic view of justification by faith and works. You Lordship Salvation heretics need to just go join the Catholic Whore-church you are supporting. Stop pretending to be Protestant and stop pretending to be Calvinistic. None of you are!

  • @CalvinistChurch Re: We are saved by belief alone. We are not saved by any of our works.

Really? I don't think Paul agrees with you (1 Corinthians 9:22). Are you going to insult him as well?

Perhaps 2 Timothy 4:3-5 refers to you specifically since you seem to know how to persecute Christ so well.

What you are really saying is that if anyone teaches anything in opposition to what you believe, then you will insult them. That sure shows us what a Christian is to be like.

  • @MrChristianBeliever,

Those two verses do not teach that we are justified by our works--LOL!

You need to read Philippians 3:7-9, if you want to see Paul's view on Justification before God.

You're banished to Hoboken, New Jersey!

  • @JacobGboy I learned all this dreck in my cateschism class in a convent. It's all in the Roman Catholic Cateschism.

You'll need far more than those pop guns you are playing with to win this war. Your needs will be the Helmet of Salvation FIRST, then the breastplate of Righteousness, your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace (which is a stumbling block to the lost), the belt of truth, the shield of faith and the Sword of Truth. Hmm, don't see no pop-guns there. - Ephesians 6

  • @AFRlKlTTY Im saved because it pleased God and predestined me out of an unconditional election to take place of a sin cleansing atonement and opened my eyes to see the True God of scripture and His glory in Christ. all this, even my faith is given to me, ( Rom. 12:3) and God works my will to want. My assurance of salvation can be seen by my fruits, God planted, watered, pruned, by grace alone. Even if I bear fruit, it's by the power of God, for he justifies and santifies me daily.

  • The Pope is Palpatine!

  • Jesus also said to pick up your cross and follow me, does that mean that he taught works salvation??? No, God forbid. Paul called the Corinthians Carnal-Christians because they had professed faith is Christ, but there was no change in their day to day lives (they weren't bearing good fruit)

The Apostle John said the no one can call Jesus Lord with the Holy Spirit, so does that mean that he taught so-called Lordship Salvation?

  • @EverydayRevival,

"Pick up your cross and follow me" is Law, not Gospel.

You Lordship heretics don't know how to identify and separate the Law from the Gospel. The Gospel does not demand, command, nor require our obedience. You have the Roman Catholic view of the Gospel. You are teaching justification by faith and works. You need to learn Law / Gospel Distinction and Justification By Faith Alone. Read Luther and Calvin, not James White and John MacArthur.

    Calvinism is Christianity!

  • @CalvinistChurch The Royal Law is The everlasting gospel. Satan's lack of regard for The Royal Law is what got him removed from the first heaven.

Does the following verse fall under gospel or law in your opinion?.

llTimothy2v15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that

needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Jesus is The Law & The Gospel = Truth & Grace.

    llTim3v16&17~ch4v1~5.

Mat16v27Jesus shall reward every man according to his works not his belief system.

  • @1Montyism,

The Law is NOT the Gospel, chump.

  • i heard alot( i dont know if all) of LS believers use the NIV Bible.....you should know that Bible removes the name "Jesus" in 38 places, removes "hell" 40 times, and completely removes the words "Godhead" and "sodomite"...atleast 65'000 words are removed or changed....BUT EVEN MORE INTERESTING: Zandervan Publishing published it, which is owned by Harper Collins, who also publishes the satanic bible!!!! just a heads up people...luv yall

  • And so, since the RCC also believes in the doctrine of the Trinity, are you going to abandon that?

  • @stegokitty,

Thank you for coming out and honestly admitting the heresy of Lordship Salvation is taught by the Roman Catholic Church. If you were a member of a true Reformed church, then you would be placed under discipline for rejecting the doctrine of Justification By Faith Alone. You are a heretic, and Luther destroyed your precious salvation-by-faith-and-works theology long before Calvin ever came along. When Calvin finally arrived, he said "Amen!" to Luther--LOL!

    You're blocked, chump!

  • @CalvinistChurch,

Again, thanks for leaving that rhetorical question--LOL!

  • @CalvinistChurch Was there anyone teaching salvation by faith alone before Martin Luther? Surly someone, at least one person, in the first 1500 years of Christianity must have taught this. Or is it possible that our Lord, and Savior, let the first 1500 years of Christians live with the wrong teachings on justification and salvation???

  • @constantboo,

You can't find anyone who taught Sola Fide in your incredibly limited search of history, so you conclude no one held to Sola Fide before Luther? Talk about drawing a conclusion without having a snowball's chance in hell of ever closing the induction--LOL! You are arguing from both silence and ignorance !

Take a class in logic, chump!

  • @trina3921,

Do you think men and women are saved by doing good works, or are men and women saved ONLY by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ infused into their hearts?

  • hi i was brought up as a catholic, catholic mum and prodestant dad.thankfully God has helped me.so class myself as neither dominion.we follow our Lord not the dominion.i do read the king james version.
