Wow! The translators had a hard time with this episode. I think we are missing something about the 4th diminsional space. Time dialation and the ability of the ships to target properly and other mumbo-jumbo. Yuki hot coffee was the highlight of this episode.
This does happen often, but I hear ya. A lot of people complain about the last episode of season 1 too, but the barrier they used they developed from the Gamelon gun on Pluto. At least a seed was planted.
You know, it never occurred to me that Sandor swiped the Reflex Gun design for his shield in that episode. That's great, it shoves the Gamilons' technology right back down their throats.
Likewise, has anyone noticed that General Bleak's Magna-Flame Gun uses SMITE? Benefits of (temporarily) allying with the Gamilons, I guess...
And what? I am 44 and even more a fan than when I watched "Star Blazers" in my teenage times. My 8-year-old daughter has just started into season 1 and is already hooked so much that yesterday, when I asked her to fill me a cup, she slapped her fist on her breast and answered "hai!"
The great network of tubes has given us a wonderful opportunity to show our kids our favourite childhood cartoons in a more reliable and complete format than we ourselves had access to back then. My sons and daughters will learn about Optimus Prime the way I did.
Yeah, in fact Starsha mixed up Yuki with Sasha, her sister, when they met. In reality, the character designer could only draw one kind of female face...
if starsha can contact an earth ship more than halfway the distance from iscandar to earth, why did her sister have to crash on mars and die to deliver her first message
@Restitutus Good point, I agree. Think about how the Japanese & German codes were so easily broken in WWII. Because of that, we Americans were able to fight the battle of Midway.
"Fourth Dimension"?
That would be TIME.
Or a motown band from the early 60s.

Another warp, where is the nude Nova?

Yeah, little too much deus ex machina for me. They did the same kind of thing in the same kind of episode during the Comet Empire.

This episode, not so much.

Now you know why Palpatine's stormtroopers aim so badly. They are trained on Gamilus!
Hardly being able to hit the Yamato when she is presented to them like a sitting duck. One should think they knew about computerised targeting...

it was the 4th. dimension displacement...
that ruins everything,I guess
is like not aiming at all

Was the character of Derek Wildstar as much of a prick as Kodai? I dont remember.
rojman123 3 years ago
The first few episodes Wildstar was a hot head, but cooled down quickly. Kodai seems to be a jerk all the way to Iscandar.

Starsha's message was pretty simple. The sister had technical plans.

Starsha will not want to broadcast the blueprints of the wave motion gun to everyone listening in the Milky Way, will she?
