I hadn't heard this marvelous performance for over forty years; many thanks for sharing it! Szeryng had taste, class, and purity in his playing; along with Arthur Grumiaux, my favorite violinist. His Brahms Concerto with Monteux and his Mendelssohn Concertto with Dorati have never been surpassed, IMO.
