  • come, dreadful egg.

  • Comment removed

  • atmospheric black metal

  • just because walknutt is from russia does not mean they are socialist i thinkt he real russian people have had enough of socialism/communnism

  • this band is not ns is BM nature!

  • Come Dreadful Egg!

  • They claim their musical style is influenced by northern nature and mysticism.

  • The lyrics are far removed from NS and more in tune with norse paganism.

Maybe the band symbol is confusing people. The name “Walknut” was derived from Valknutr, the modern name for an old Norse symbol that consists of three interlocked triangles and appears on Scandinavian rune stones in connection with Odin

  • It's not NS you idiots this is Pagan black metal.

  • I find the lyrics pretty NS, though they're not sieg-heil-ingly-explicit.

  • fucking great band \m/

  • 5:42

  • I almost mistook Walknut for being a Finnish band for the high view rate there.

  • HOW THE FUCK IS THIS NATIONAL SOCIALIST!

go the fuck to metal archives! read the lyrics and tell me if that's nazi at all to you!

  • Walknut don't play Der Stürmer-style NSBM, but they are certainly N.S. in the manner that Fanisk & all of the BBH/SW bands are. Those who deny this must know nothing about the members of this band or anything about true N.S. (its origins or its long-range ambitions) for that matter. And those who see in National Socialism nothing more than a political movement know scarcely anything of it -- so why would their lyrics be evidence for your argument? Trust me -- Walknut crush anti-N.S. p.c. posers.

  • That's the trouble with Norse paganism, people think it is connected to Nazism. Well, for those who think Vikings were Nazis, fuck all of you to hell! This band is superior atmospheric black fucking metal. HORNS UP!

  • цепляет...

  • Force of nature, powerful.......you should listen at high volume, GREAT¡¡¡

  • This is a fucking awesome album. Every single song just flashes me in an amazing way. Pure emotions! Extremely athmospheric!!! GREAT!

  • they are truely phenomenal. I find the atmospheres equalling the best of Hateforest and Drudkh

  • "Once of northern blood" "Where falcons sing their pride" "The men that did forget their own roots. The answers are known, yet none shall speak." Hmm, yeah, think about who wrote those lyrics, I wonder what he's getting at? So scared of criticism or being labeled NS, that you're defending Svyagir and Gorruth, who are obviously so racist, ethnocentric, exclusively proud, whatever you want to call it, it doesn't change what these fuckers stand for. Why defend them? It's good BM, leave it at that.

  • i've listend to metal in all of its shadows for over 15 years, this is the first time i've heard of walknut, and I'm completely blown away over the sheer magnitude of majesty!

  • Walknut is and will never be NSBM. It's Atmospheric Black Metal ffs!

  • @samrit86 You wouldn't know what N.S. was if it spit in your face, would you? The people giving you a "thumbs up" here know just as little about the band and the members as you do, apparently.

  • @wmcdonald76 Stop being a fucking cunt and start accepting the fact. This band is not NSBM. Never was.

And your comment about 'NSBM is also atmospheric BM". Seriously. Go back listening to Justin Bieber. Oh wait, maybe he's NS too!

  • @samrit86 You clearly know nothing about Walknut, do you? If you did, you would know something of the members & their affiliations: Stringsskald: Temnozor, Forest, Volkoten, Vandal, Woods of Fallen, Nitberg, & Rakoth. Ravnaskrik (Gorruth): Woods of Fallen & Temnozor. These bands constitute the core of Blazebirth Hall & some head Pagan Front. They are, indeed, National Socialists. And as Walknut play a progressive/atmospheric form of Black Metal, that means your so-called debate is over, kid.

  • @samrit86 And one more thing, you trendleeches (this goes for the rest who share your confusion). What would you call bands like Kataxu, Sunwheel, Eldrig, Nokturnal Mortum, Temnozor, Fanisk, Temnozor, Giboraltar, Drudkh, Hate Forest, and each/all of the Blazebirth hall bands, to name but a few? They all play profoundly atmospheric Black Metal, and their lyrics are Natural, deeply spiritual and Cosmic. Your ignorant misconception of NS is the problem, thus, you cannot grasp the connection.

  • @samrit86 Since your Youtube favorites clearly indicate your affection for "artists" like Bone Thugs n Harmony, Reef the Lost Cauze, Notorious B.I.G., Eddy Grant, Rage Against the Machine, KoRn, Bollywood pop, weak indie, and mainstream so-called viking metal ala Metal Blade such as Amon Amarth, you're the last bitch in the world to school anyone about Black Metal here or elsewhere. Or maybe you thought Black Metal was all about black tribalism? F.O.A.D.!

  • Drudkh is one of my favorite bands and these guys are definitely giving them competition in my book

  • Some of the lyrics hint towards NS, but this is not NSBM, correct. Even though the members are pretty extreme.

  • @Ash1065 Do you believe every person with a personal NS philosophy and worldview needs to include 88 swastikas on their album covers & sing each and every song about the glory of the Reich? How simple-minded can you be? The NS bands around that are worth their salt are not so one-dimensional. The arts were not so restricted in the past, so why would they be so in the future? I know of plenty NS musicians who do not pigeonhole themselves as NSBM & who reject trendy scene titles altogether. Wise.

  • Walknut isn't NSBM on it's own. But both members are from Temnozor and Forest.

  • @CptCoatrack This begs the question: what even constitutes NSBM to some of you people? It's atmospheric Black Metal played by Russian National Socialist Pagans. Yet Walknut manages to somehow escape any philosophical links with its creators? Wow, that's pretty magical. Here's a better interpretation, though. You love their music, but you believe everything you've been taught about the National Socialists in your Allied/Zionist history books, thus, you cannot accept the truth of their worldview.

  • @wmcdonald76 So following that logic if a band has republican members are they "republican black metal"? Most bands don't let their political leanings influence their artistic vision. I have no problem with a band being NSBM, some of my favourite bands are. I don't have the patience to debate with you the "truth" of NS though because comments like that make your own ignorance very apparent.

  • @CptCoatrack Sorry, but to compare National Socialism with the Republican party reveals your ignorance, or rather, severe miscalculation of Weltanschauung as opposed to petty, transient, two-party-politics. I find it somehow surprising that you would not grasp this distinction, however, if some of your favorite bands are, indeed, NS. I can tell you from experience that philosophy does not halt at artistic expression. On the contrary -- it comes through in everything we do. Inseparable.

  • @CptCoatrack Another thing: with so many lousy bands latching on to the NS title over the years to compensate for their lack of talent (no need, or room, to name names here), I can see why the few pioneers of the movement (i.e., the truly advanced musicians who sincerely represent this cosmology/worldview) would wish to distance themselves from labels, altogether. I think a dismissal of categories, however, shouldn't be interpreted as a rejection of philosophy, but rather of misunderstandings.

  • @CptCoatrack And besides the ignorance of the common herd, such titles can and do often pose problems for the bands themselves as well -- especially in regions where there are laws against free expression and forbidden so-called "political" affiliations. The NSBM "identifier" label is increasingly unnecessary and in many ways even counterproductive to the NS cause, on strategic grounds. But if we're referring to essence, Walknut's position should be clear to any enlightened individual.

  • @wmcdonald76 You need to stop ranting and enjoy the music, unless of course you can't without dumbass remarks about every little thing someone says, ignore it if you don't agree, if you do agree then by all means say so, otherwise chill the fuck out.

  • @SamuraiZach0 I do enjoy the music. How was that somehow unclear? I'm just tired of trendy fucks trying to move in on our territory and then tell US what our music is about. If you were simply apolitical, that would be different -- but most of the people chiming in here obviously have a problem with whatever they perceive to be N.S. If you think N.S. is exclusively Germanic or political, you don't know shit. No one "ignored" my comments, so I'm going to speak my mind and defend my brothers.

  • this is atmosperic black metal dip shit not nsbm

  • might it even occur to you that he tags it as NSBM because there are NSBM bands that sound similar so it may be easier to find more music like this?

  • Comment removed

  • NOT NSBM....this band lyrics are based on Nature, Paganism, and the bands Heritage

  • @666WormInfested666 Nature, Paganism & Heritage are entirely NS subjects. Do you know anything, though?

  • @666WormInfested666 yea if somebody want to listen NSBM go to infernal war...

but it's not the same morality/philosophy. ( for me black metal is better)

  • One of your favourite bands but you don't know if you want their album? Wah?

  • meh is just that ig got over it, but its an awesome band indeed

  • idk if this is NSBM my friend.

  • Check out,,Inquisition-Solitary Death In The Nocturnal Woodlands.

  • im pretty picky when it comes to black metal...this band definitely makes my list

  • One of the best BM bands I have ever heard in my fucking life, all thier songs drive me in-fucking-sane

  • NSBM or Not, but great atmospheric black metal!

  • This band is NOT in the NSBM scene. READ THEIR LYRICS for fucks sake. lol. Walknut is straight atmospheric Pagan BM. The members of Walknut however are connected to the NSBM scene

  • i dunno man/..at the end of the "motherland " clipthe last scene says"pagan front" and swastikas are at each top corner...

  • If you mean the W, that isn't a swastika.

  • no man... its on the back cover...

  • @dmb912002 It's a Walknut/Valknot -- the symbol of the Einherjar, doubled there as a W. The band are quite N.S., however, and their music conveys the essence, not the transient form, of that worldview.

  • @revenant879 Read the lyrics of every serious, informed NS band, and you will consistently find that the subject matter is about Nature and the Cosmos, not petty politics. You don't know anything about this band, though, do you? Good. Stay in the shallow end.

  • @revenant879

Sorry what is NS black metal

I feel like such a dumbass right now xP

  • @revenant879 The lyrics are actually very much what you would expect from NSBM, themes of heritage and nationhood. Theres nothing wrong with liking NSBM you know, stop being a lemming.

  • @revenant879 Yes read their lyrics, their lyrics are nationalistic and what is wrong with that? Stop being a lemming use your independant mind.

Grim woods are listless, cold as hearts of men

The men that did forget their own roots

The answers are known, yet none shall speak

Where only spirits walk upon the overgrown paths

This whole song is about people forgetting their own roots and the northern races becoming extinct!

  • @UnyieldingDefiance

    This is NOT NSBM!

look on Metallum this is and i quote

    Ganre :Atmospheric Black Metal

    Lyrical themes:

    Nature, Pagan Mysticism,

So if you se any NSBM in it than you are and all of you who say this is NSBM really crazy

    Cheers!

  • @nargarothfreak666 Quoting Metallum doesn't prove anything. You are right that they aren't NSBM but quoting a user-fuelled site is like quoting Wikipedia.

  • @Bio69

so? every thing you know you know it from books ore the internet

so you are quoting every thing your whole live.

and if you say it is not true than you are a lyer

  • @nargarothfreak666 Well I'm a Medieval Historian and have lived in France examining monasteries for the past few years so I'd say I can safely say that ALL of my life is not a quotation.

  • @Bio69

and what is exactly your point?

    dont get it.

  • @nargarothfreak666 I write stuff that others quote. What I write is used as a source for other people. It is deemed as "truth" concerning French spirituality during the Capetian Era. So you were wrong, not everything in my life is a quotation, since I am involved essentially in the "production" of such things.

  • @Bio69

    DOH!

    sorry but are you stupid?

ofcorese is not every thing in your live a quote in nobodys live

really are you thinking that i believe that every body is quoting?

no. so i am not going arguing about it anymore have fun and good luck.

    Cheers!

  • @revenant879 Temnozor

  • @revenant879

    thats good news to me.

  • @revenant879 Why do you care if they get labeled as NSBM? It's not like there's much of a difference in sound.

  • @BytheBeardofYmir It is just a principle. I don't like NSBM, so I don't like when Walknut is labeled as one, too.

  • @revenant879 WHO GIVES A FUCK

  • @revenant879 not sure that makes a whole lot of sense there, friend!

  • Hail Walknut!

  • These guys are fkcn orgasmic.

  • Orgasmic is right...all of thier fucking songs make me want to FUCK

  • great band, great art!

  • excellent music... I enjoy the dark ambient through this fucking BM
