  • Hi WeisserWolf,

Thanx for the comment, but I'm really afraid to spoil it if I the new threading would turn to be awry. Maybe if I find a competent gunsmith, so far there is no gunsmith in my townat all.

  • Nice Saiga, but you really need to cut that barrel down to 19"

  • Hi Shawn,

Shooting from a dead rest I could hardly get them into 30cm circle from 35m. That was without choke innstalled (just cyllinder). I was impressed with the result you got with your shotgun using Foster type slugs cast in a Lyman mould. Wonder If that is due to the quality of the barrell or the slugs.

  • I think it is the slugs, not the barrel.I have the same one ounce Lee slug mould, and I can't get them to shoot decently in any of my shotguns. They were probably intended to be used in rifled shotguns, but mine are all smoothbore. The Foster type slugs were patched with regular printer paper to make them a snug fit in the bore and that seemed to work out fairly well. Round balls (.690") also seem to work well in most shotgunsand can be paper patched to fit the bore of the individual gun.

  • How good is the accuracy with the Lee slug?
