No. Using the formula e=mc^2, 1/4 gram results in 5 kilotons....dan brown did his math correct but with the wrong numbers since antimatter needs the same amount of matter to annihilate and release energy....this implies that the "m", which stands for mass, in above formula needs to be increased by a factor of 2. First, he really is a professor. What he's doing here is a totally different thing, he is just giving a conference in which he is allowed to explain things from a different point of view. If you wanna listen to a serious approach to the Physics behind this, get a Physics degree (you may have one, I don't wanna offend you). Damn, this felt like a really hastily thrown together talk
I mean, he seems to have lifted his whole-body PET scan image right off of the wikipedia "Positron Emission Tomography" page.
So many missed opportunities in this talk, and so many unresolved threads (seriously, why even mention the lame "God particle" meme? When he fails to follow up there, then it just reinforces misconceptions)
And why discuss CP-violation without mentioning the 2008 physics Nobel Prize? (Maybe he's jealous...?)

space ;) because evrywhere around you there is matter so space is the only place or some device but good luck making that :p to remove all matter from it and making the antimatter don't touch anything and to prevent it from collapsing because of the air pressure ( sorry if my english is bad)

Magnetic or electrical fields. Antimatter anihilates it's normal matter counterpart, so you could confine negatively charged protons with electrons. Magnetic fields or an EM field might be used.

Can someone give me an example of matter EVER touching "antimatter" ? Think: In order for antimatter to be able to be touched , it has to have mass, therefore, it's matter. Antimattter, by definition, cannot have mass or volume. Some idiots are pulling giant scams on many governments under the guise of being scientists discovering the universe. Wake up dolts! The Emperor has no Clothes!

antimatter DOES have mass and volume. He was talking about .25 grams of antimatter in the movie.. grams is a unit of mass.
The "anti" in antimatter does not mean "NO" , it means opposite as in Opposite charge, negative and positive.

It doesn't work! It's a big farce designed to get money and lot's of it!! I was so tickled about the Collider "suddenly" couldnt be started up after all the hoopla because of "something" that had to be repaired. It's all a big fake. Just watch and wait! Can matter touch "antimatter"?

Basicly a chunk of the collidor warmed up over 200 degrees centigrade to around minus 60. Knowing about differential thermal expansion you know that this causes problems as the pipe was ruptured and effecting pieces around it...
Money was spend at around €6Billion - allmost a fraction of the cost to bail out a small bank!

the antimatter is made of what, Helge? The reason I got high scores on nuclear fission on the GRE and any such standardized tests is not that I am a nuclear scientist, I majored in music on a science scholarship, it's because I can read and comprehend. Matter has mass and volume. Antimatter has what? Nothing to touch.

Antimatter is made of antiprotons and antielectrons, or rather positrons. They can touch matter, but annihilate each other in doing so.

Ive looked into it, and they've stopped. I'll be in the area in September, and they now only give tours above ground. They stopped giving tours below ground. They are probably afraid of herds and herds of people stampeding through their facility the way that we over-ran the Louvre. I think there'd be more support for major (aka expensive) science projects if they were made -open- to the public. You listening to me, NASA ?
