On Letting Go is in reference to them moving ahead to a new chapter in their lives. They said it themselves. Oh and, anonomis is not a word. Also, your last sentence was ridiculous. He did struggle with drugs when he was younger. As far as he's told anyone, he doesn't now. And the "just keep drinking water" part can be about anything. I just had a disscussion with someone who believed it to be referencing to chemo. Your hypothesis just doesn't make much sense.

Actually, the song "On Letting Go" is about losing faith in religion. The lyrics are full of many religious figurative language, such as "All I wanted to be was one of your children", "We are unrelated" (alluding to all of us being children of Adam and Eve or of Abraham), "if blood is thicker than water". "Wash off your handcuffs and know the hidden messages you hear, they are not real" is a direct statement against religion.

it seems like the video focuses on how people spend the daily life performing monotonous tasks. this leads me to believe that the hoses attached to the people represent a person allowing their life to be drained as they go through activities society compels them to do. when they break free of the social morays, chaos ensues which is represented by the band going crazy in the office.

the song is about drugs the lyrics match the video and the title in the sense he is talking about drugs and how so many people need them to "water there lawn" and they control your mind to not be honest to yourself and the office is the main operation there is a boss that is controling the "control panel" one of the many things that is used to quit is to take it one day at a time/one inch at a time...and to tell yourself that wat your doing is temporary.

Oh, also, videos oftentimes have nothing to do with the songs. Although I do see myself how the video and song relate, and no offense, but I don't see how any deeply thinking person can connect drugs to this song or video.
