Schools make mistakes, but I already know of a few students that had this happen to them this year. Two years in a row? That really sucks for the rejected students who get their hopes up all over again...

that guy is really bitter. OKAY you act like this affect all the 29,000 applicants....uh it doesnt. as i recall they sent out the first email at 9 am while most of hs students are in school. and then 2 hours later sent an apology. Unless ur the type that check ur email every half hour on ur blackberry at school, it didn't really affect you.

This is my dream school for biomedical engineering and im bearly High School freshman the bad thing is that im out of state and have a 2% accepatance rate. I cant imagine this happening to me

I'm one of those kids....

This was the worst thing for me because I not only looked forward to attending, but I rescinded some of my applications.

This is completely humiliating and just downright unfair. I still can't believe this.... All they can say for themselves is "sorry"

And for those who criticize the situation saying that we're overreacting wishing a change of mind, take into mind about how hard we work in high school to be humiliated by our first choice school..... :[

This is truly embarrassing for everyone who got this message. I was one of them as well, but i don't really care for this school anymore. i feel sorry for those who considered this school as their first choice school. It really is like a slap in the face. I hope all these students get admitted to a great college and are able to achieve their goals! :)
