  • TruthAXE = FalseFeather

  • "We get hung over but we always survive it"

  • best band of all time. the who, genesis, pink floyd. trick of the light, is another awesome song. these bands are nothing like the shit today.

  • This was such a great album. Daltrey never sounded better.

  • I still remember listening to this album for the first time. When "New Song" started up, I was hooked instantly. It was very refreshing to hear some new Who songs in the days of all the commercial Disco crap, that dominated the airwaves and night clubs. Of course, the song "Who Are You" was about as anti-disco as you could get, and a welcome change for rockers like me! It was very sad that Keith Moon was to be taken away, but he played brilliantly on this his final album.

  • moon played with beck , page, lennon, among others, but u r a better judge of talent than them ? do u know how stupid u sound ? if you dont like him or his style, or the who, then say that, its your opinion, and u r entitled 2 it. but, dont insult million record selling musicians by saying they risked valuable record deals by hiring incompotents 2 play on their records, thats insane. please tell me how he fooled so many people 4 so long, and tell me who these drummers u talked 2 r ! moon rules !

  • so, he fooled the rest of the who, page, beck, and music critics 4 more than a decade with his lousey drumming, but only u can tell us the truth ? who do u think page and beck wanted for their new super group b4 bonham ? moon played with them and john paul jones on a little song called becks bolero, ever heard of it ? i doubt it. if the who had broke up, who do u think would have been zeps drummer, moon, not bonham, u r entitled 2 not like him, but when u say he couldnt play, u r oh so very wrong

  • truthaxe, its obvious u know nothing about music, i dont know who u have been talking to, but as a very good pro drummer, i can tell you moon was one of, if not the best drummers of rock, according to bonham, rich ,starr, both of them, peart, mitchell, and many, many more , who claim him as their enfluence, including my self, mitchell tried out for the who, but was passed on for moon, so hendrix was wrong also ?who do you think taught zac starr 2 play ? not ringo. moon, even gave him a drum kit.

  • Truthaxe sad existence came as a product of faulty genetic inbreeding.

  • Truthaxe is a sad example of a human being was born with a mental birth defect caused from brain damage while in the womb of his or her mother.

  • Truthaxe, whatever axe you have to grind with The Who, you come across as a fucking retard. For anyone to suggest Moonie couldn't play or that the band didn't do Pete's songs justice, well you're just an idiot.Keith is regarded by professional drummers as one of the greats, but you in all your wisdom say he couldn't get in a band, ya right dipshit.

  • You amuse, @clubhouseme. Mere words have triggered you into rage. Look at you go! Mere words have turned you into my marionette. I pull on the strings and you dance to my tune. So who is the fucking retard?

  • I always loved this song and it's obviously deemed a good one since it's the album starter, but I always wondered why I've never heard where the band performs it live. Perhaps they have I'm not certain, but I have numerous live Who albums and have seen them in concert many times myself and haven't heard it.

  • I don't konw that New Song was ever played live. Sister Disco was played on every tour (probably every show) during the Kenney Jones era. Who Are You has remained in constant rotation on pretty much every tour they've done since 79. I know they did The Music Change on the 79 tour, and they did Trick Of The Light on at least some of the shows in 79 and 89. Entwistle did 905 and Had Enough with his solo band during the 90's, but I don't think The Who have ever done them or any of the other songs.

  • "I've been pouring vodka in my soul..." Great lyrics! Get Who song!

  • The Who at their absolute best! Sadly, it would be the final studio album to feature Keith Moon as their legendary drummer. Why he had to go so soon will always be one of rock's biggest heartbreaks. Moon added a special flavor to the group that was never found again when he died. I am not speak against Kenny. However, it just was never the same. Nevertheless, the Farewell Tour was dazzling. To see Pete, Roger, John, and Kenny tell us goodbye was so monumental. You cannot repeat this.

  • @sandinyourshoes Moon was mediocre, an emperor with no clothes. He'd never get in a band today if he were alive and starting out.

  • @TruthAxe, I do not agree at all. With 15 thumbs up, I am not alone, either. Most of today's bands fold after just a few albums and could never come close to what The Who offered us.

  • @TruthAxe Yer an idiot.

Typing simply reveals your lack of insight about percussion.

    Ask a DRUMMER, Mr Opinion.

    ..

  • You amuse, @Shattersmith. The word you want is the contracted form of 'you are.' Try this: You're.

Every pro drummer who is good knows Moon was a sloppy hack, a pretend drummer, who by accident of time found himself earning money in a rock and roll band.

    Yet, keep amusing.

  • @TruthAxe Yeah but try and play with as much unstoppable energy as Moon did. I bet you last 5 minutes...ASSHOLE!

  • @kubrick681 . I agree with you. He would not last 30 sec. TruthAxe. You obviously don't know shit about music, The who, or Keith Moon. Asshole.
