  • hey man love the video. I also have an S2000 and am interested in tracking her in the spring. my main concern is tech. What's the deal with the cage/ broomstick test being that the car is a convertible? Any information would help

  • @muenchables : Check with your local track & club. At most of the NASA events and tracks I have been to, the S2000 can run open top due to its factory roll bar, plus I'm short enough to sit below the roof. I've never been asked for a broomstick test, though I would pass. Some tracks -- VIR, for example -- will not allow a convertible even if it has a factory roll bar.

  • I see you only switched gears 3 times per lap?? On the 2nd straight coming into turn 9 I believe how does the car have enough power to pull you out of the hole in 4th gear? I'm usually in 3rd by that turn . My best laptime in that track is 1.20.760

    Nice vid smooth lines man!

  • @bry2221 : You've got a couple seconds a lap on me ;). More aggressive I'd probably be changing gears more to completely optimize my power band. The car does carry speed pretty well through the turns even if the out of the hole torque leaves a bit to be desired, but that's driving an S2000 for you.

  • @Hawkstrike6 Just ran the car a couple of weeks ago and got a 1.19.5 The car felt great and I feel there is still room for improvement.

  • @bry2221 Great lap time!
