  • Hahaha listen to him trying to make his voice go lower

  • I didn't think the guards were allowed to talk at all. But agree with him reminding the people to be respectful.

  • Just a random, drunken thought...They should give the troopers some live ammo, let them pop a tourist every now and then. Most people no longer have a sense of respect, most still have a sense of self preservation, and the random shooting of the occassional jerk might activate that sense of self preservation to the point they shut the hell up.

  • When a Marine had to request silence from the audience at the Tomb...it really hits home the shape our country is in. Total disrespect.

  • @Nubster12 its the Armys Old Guard not the Marines but yeah i agree total disrespect

  • @MrHacksaw246 Opps...for some reason I always thought it was the Marines that had guard...I apologize.

  • @Nubster12 You're not totally wrong...US Marines have the duty of guarding all our embassies worldwide.

  • I had the honor of watching the changing of the guard once, I was 12 years old and even then at a young age I knew to keep my mouth shut and show not some but complete respect.

  • YEEEEEAH!!! aint joking, he stood for a few seconds kind o like "You get my drift?"

  • hell yes

  • Honor GUARD. Tomb guards arent just there for show.

  • It is requested, that you shut the fuck up!

  • I was there. Those "fools" were members of the Democratic Party who were in town for a convention symbolizing their states.

  • @harvardjrnl

    No surprise there.

  • @harvardjrnl I thought that went without saying.

  • Im from South Africa I stumbled apon these clips by pure chance!!! and man I must say nothing hit me more harder than this . The dedication these guards put into every step they take wow !!Americans can be proud of the lives layed down for them !!!!

  • I didn't know they did that. Good. I hope those disrespectful idiots learned a lesson they never forget.

  • OOHRAH!

  • The guard looks like he is about to cry lol.

  • @Halocuber Fuck you!

  • @Halocuber you can barely see his face you stupid fuck. fuck you

  • YES SIR no need to yell we hear ya

  • Holy shit!! I was there when this happened! I has to walk away for a second cause even though I wasn't one of the people that guy was yelling at, he scared the shit outta me

  • 23 viewers need a bayonet up the ass.

  • @JLJ061 Agreed.

  • That's right. Shut the fuck up. The least you can do for those who sacrificed their lives for your nation you sloppy lazy cowardly fat fucks.

  • @johnnymexica not all of us are fat lazy

  • To all referencing the Marine Corps in this vid...the TotUS is guarded by the US Army. I am a former Marine, this is not our detail. That being said, I applaud his effort at getting nasty civilians not showing the proper respect.

  • But I agree 100% with the soldier. I don't believe in an afterlife, souls, etc. BUT, I believe we owe the respect of honoring the memory those who died in and as a result of the wars of the past that actually did pose a legitimate threat the US, AND those who answer(ed) their nation's call to serve, regardless of my opinion on the conflicts/wars. And that includes respecting their memorials, their graves, tombs, monuments, funerals, and the women and men themselves.

  • @HandiCripple666 Im seriously asking this question with honesty....what do you believe happens when you die? You can PM me if youd rather not say publicly......being a combat vet, i always am curious to see what people truly believe....thank you much....

  • @SemperFiDTM Sorry for the delay, school keeps me pretty busy. To be clear, I'm a NON-combat, disabled US Army Vet. Unrelated, I'm also an atheist, or rather than stating what I'm NOT, I am a rationalist, a secularist, a naturalist–most of them fit. As Richard Dawkins describes himself, on 1-7 (1-"knows" there's a god(s), 7-"knows" there isn't) scale I'm a 6.5, because it's not possible to prove a negative, but I've seen enough evidence against, and none for.

  • @HandiCripple666 Man you may want to consider cutting back on what ever it is you're smoking.

  • @HandiCripple666 Im on the fence with Richard Dawkins...sometimes I love him, think hes genius...other times i feel hes just pushing his views as any religious person would....

  • @SemperFiDTM I don't care about "subs" or being "favorited" etc. My YouTube account or channel or whatever, isn't that big a part of my identity, it's just a means to access and keep organized playlists for myself, but if you're curious, I recommend checking out some of the vids on my playlist, THEN search their playlists & channels for a much better variety of such materials. ESPECIALLY AronRa, HamboneProductions, RichardDawkinsdotnet, & TheThinkingAtheist.

  • @HandiCripple666 Sorry, last thought. I didn't mean to come off rude, but I think I did. I am more than happy to discuss this further here or via personal message, just be patient, as my profile says, I'm a college student and a married, and now a father of now, 2, so I'm a bit slow on my correspondence.

    OK, I'm done now :-)

  • @HandiCripple666 If you're a college student I certainly hope you're not an English major.

  • Seriously though, I've heard Marines I was stationed with at Ft. Sill, Fucklahoma, Marine Field Artillerymen train there, generally barked out OORAH! But I've also heard ARH!, kind of a grunt and a bark (Marine bulldog mascot reference?) as a 'yes' response, kind of like a Soldier might say HOOAH, but cut it short, kind of like the 'wha' sound in 'what', but stop short of the 't', in lieu of "yes", "roger" or "understood". My favorite was something like "OORAH! ARH! ARH! KILL BABIES! ARH! ARH!

  • @HandiCripple666 I think you may be referring to "Yut!!!" That is a typical US Marine "pepper"...."O0h -Rah" is more of our war cry.

  • I like that the honor guards GUARDS the tomb. Instead of just being there for looks. Looks like the honor of the unknown soldiers will always be well guarded.

  • he looks like he's wearing a dress.

  • @bakermike27 ok you don't have to be a douche bag about it i was asking a question, this is what i ask my dad this stuff because he happened to serve in the marines......smh

  • hey go wilkdcats, The Honor Gaurd in that video can do and will do whatever the hell he wants, the fact that you are even questioning this tells me that you have no clue what kind of respect and honor that it takes to put the uniform on everyday, to serve and DIE for your country and then only to be buried without anybody knowing who you are. Even the country that you died for... SHHHHHHHHHHH, ooorah, marines

  • @bakermike27 Whoa take it easy marine. The dude just asked an honest question. Save your energy for the trolls.

  • Like a boss.

  • Ok i'm all for him yelling at the crowd for being disrespectful, but he is allowed to do that???

  • @gowildcats096259 Required to do that in fact.

  • Why attend a memorial honouring peoples deaths and show no respect in the first place?

Wonder what he would've done if they carried on though.

  • @MrEnterthehole Probably had them removed.

  • when i went there in like '98 i had a old camera that would rewind the film wjen you finished that roll it was so loud .....every1 turned and looked at me this just reminded that happened..........if you get a chance to go there take the tour

  • He's blustering a bit

"ITSH ISH REQUESHTE THA EVERYONE KEEPSH A SHILEN ATMOSHHPHER AT ALL TIMESH!"

  • The Old Guard is sooooo bad ass!

  • Why would anybody be in a theatre full of black people? Don't they have theaters in your neck of the woods? All due respect to the fallen!

  • god you fucking tourists, show some damn respect to the fallen and keep your mouths shut.

  • I want this guy with me the next time I wind up in a theater full of black people.

  • Ok ok ! Damn ! You aint gotta be a dick about it dude ! Nah, that was disrespectfull. Im Glad the soilder put there arses in there place. But thats how people are these days. Disrespectful pukes.

  • u loud during the changing of the guard you might as well smuggled the holy grail in your coat. i went with my school and got to hear the guard yell at a dude accross the platform i nearly shit my pants

  • @juggalofammmfwcl lmao. yeah the Tomb of unknown soldiers isnt looked at lightly by all military personnel. It is a symbol of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and the tomb guards take this duty to heart.

  • It is disturbing to see people showing such disrespect at the site.

  • WORD.(this means i got in the last word)

  • well done Respect cost nothing

  • You dont make the man with the loaded weapon with the bayonet angry people

  • pwned

  • Lol Thames

  • pwned

  • Hoooooaaaaaahhhh

  • Good for you Soldier!

    Nitwitted tourists!

  • OOHRAH!!!!

  • Should smoke the tourists! HALF RIGHT FACE FRONT LEAN AND REST POSITION....the push up IN CADENCE

  • @Epic410 It's "front leaning rest position," not "front lean and rest position." Just correcting you so you don't call it in formation one day and look silly.

  • Goddam ignorant tourists.

  • lol nuff said

  • Damn right. Semper Fi!

  • Get him brother!

  • i have had the honor of watching this in person and believe me they do not tolerate any kind of bullshit during that ceremony

  • I got nearly identical treatment in '85 as a dumb 17 year old. Minolta cam on a rickety tripod started falling towards the ropes. I caught it, and he wasnt pleased. Funny how they pinpoint you, even with their head turned, and can bellow to where it hurts your lower back.

  • Learn some damn respect, this soldier was completely in the right to check the crowd

  • @vivalabam10 they're supposed to do that...the tomb of the unknown soldier is a big deal. (especially during the changing of the guard.)

  • @xxcaution210xx you would not make it.you show your ignorance in your statement.oh yea your an asshole.

  • @coooldeal Ignorance? lol because I said he sounded like an idiot? His line is the correct line taught to them except he's the only one I heard who doesn't know how to project his voice like a real soldier.... Dumbass learn who your talking to before you say what I can and cannot make becaue I'm sure in my military career i've accomplished more then you'd accomplish in your LIFE..... im an asshole who fights to keep youtube nerds like you getting offended

  • @xxcaution210xx Alright Soldier, calm down, don't make us look like uncontrolled, untrained bigots. Better if we say nothing at all than to call our citizens "dumbass." Remember your Army Values.

  • @ArmyMedicRN

why not... most of our citizens are "dumbasses" lol....... my army values say nothing about giving respect to people who choose to ignore the blanket of freedom they lay under. fuk it Rangers Lead the way!!

  • @xxcaution210xx And don't forget that we dumbasses are paying your salary, soldier. You're a public servant. You are fighting to defend my right to be a dumbass if that's what I want to be.

  • @ladylejean215

I am not in the army anymore idiot...... Now i'm just like you except I can say I've earned my right to be here doing what I do.... your just an idiot who thinks its clever to say what you just said but in reality I defended your right to be a pussy and do nothing but live off everyone elses sweat n blood..... Bravo for being part of the downfall in society

  • @ladylejean215 oh trust me. youre a dumbass. you left out nasty cunt also.

  • @xxcaution210xx No way would you make it asshole.YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TALK FOR THE FIRST 6 MONTHS. I don't think you can keep your mouth shut that long. You are not supposed to drink alcohol for life. You have to spend hour a day studying about some of the people buried there.I think I know who I was talking to,a big loudmouth.Well bigmouth whats up?

  • @coooldeal thats 4 hours a day.

  • @coooldeal

thats cute you read what its about.... Im only to assume that you know this because you read about it because i'm sure you never had the opportunity to do it. It's cute to act like you know anything about me besides that I said the soldier had no idea how to project his voice... Awww your feelings get hurt? i'm sorry would you like me to help you get the sand out of your vagina? funny how punks on youtube always have something smart to say....

  • @xxcaution210xx Look my feelings are not hurt.I have much respect for the armed services even though I may not approve of some things.I am sorry for my langauge, not my words. Now back to where we were.Read your last post you are not saying anything,it goes nowhere, nada. We are not talking about me and my life.We are talking about you and how I don't think you could make it as a tomb guard and you think you could but are to busy saving the world.(continued)

  • @coooldeal Like I said I respect people in the services, thats why I replyed to your post.I guess I felt you were disrespecting said guard.I guess we can agree on one thing "punks on youtube allways have something smart to say".

  • @coooldeal

Well then catch on that I aint a punk on youtube... I'm someone who guarantee'd did more then the soldier in the video which is why I never got a chance to get picked up for the task. U.S. Army Rangers Lead the way HOOAH.... noooowww im done playin this childish argument... I have to go "Save the world" lol peace

  • @coooldeal You are not supposed to cuss in public for the rest of your life either.

  • When you walk into Arlington National Cemetery, there's a sign outside that clearly reminds you that you are entering hallowed grounds and that you should conduct yourself accordingly. The only ones being "d-bags" are the idiots not minding the warning. He's marshaling visitors that have no respect for our honored dead.

  • @USMCNavigator I say HOOAH civilians have little respect if any and absolutely NO discipline.

  • @Bkrayzaythetrollolol OK I'm sick and tired of attitudes like yours. Some of us DO have respect and DO know how to behave in public, esp. at locations such as the Tomb of the Unknowns. I am the granddaughter of a US Navy captain and a US Army 2st sgt. Two of my uncles served in 1: the Army and 2: the USMC. Another relative of mine served in the State Department during Reagan's administration. I damn well learned how to act respectful and I'm a civilian. I would be quite respectful here.

  • @ladylejean215 but you were blessed with being raised around proper people who were able to instill that in you and i know i threw every civilian into that category of being disrespectful undisciplined slobs I do know there are some who were, like your self, raised properly but in this day in age it is a rarity and you cannot deny that. and TBH i do not classify Military families who live tht life style as civilian, once you are a part of tht community you are as much a part as anyone else in it

  • @Bkrayzaythetrollolol That should read "US Army 1st sgt" - sorry for the typo, I just woke up.

  • i will kill the fuckin' assholes that were being loud! How dare they!

  • but he was doin his job

  • what if I farted?

  • @dustyflair i would hunt you down and shove it back in.

  • disgusting civilians... they'll never know the sacrifice the men and women of past, present and in the future have made for our country. at LEAST they can do is show what little respect they have, if that is too much to ask of them, absolutely garbage

  • @Nil8Z There's another one who wants to paint all civilians with the same damn broad brush. I'm really getting sick of this. If this is the attitude that we're going to get from you, take your service and shove it up your ass. WE PAY YOUR SALARY, don't forget.

  • Good job.

  • what happens if you get a call in the middle of that and your phone its in high sound

  • Comment removed

  • @MrDfallout Maintaining respect at the tomb means exactly that.....respect. It's no different than being in church. If it's one of your family members, you would want the same thing. Since these men are unknown, we are all their family. If someone can't remember to turn off their phone, I respectfully suggest they not visit the tomb.

  • who would go to something like that & not be quiet?

  • "It is requested that everyone maintain an atmosphere of silence and respect at all times." Good on him.

  • What exactly did he say? Couldn't quite catch it.

  • @RandyAKing "It's requested that everyone maintain an atmosphere of silence and respect at all times."

    A said by mac2310208

  • thosepeople need to realize that the soldier in that tomb gave his life just so they could speak freely, but you should know that at that time you just need to shut the hell up. it wasn't because his CO was there or anything, it was because they were talking at a time they shouldn't be. if they want to talk they can leave.

  • When in the presents of the Tomb of The Unknown Soldier show your respect for the soldier laid in rest for he paid the highest price for your freedom.

    Pastor Foster

  • YES SIR

  • The CO probably monitors the guards, that is why he did what he did. If he hadn't, his CO would have chewed him out. Only just as worse. He, has swag.

  • fuck yeah!

  • Probably a band of brothers.

  • You go boy. Check their asses

  • Hell Yeah!

  • too bad the image and the culture of colorguard/tomb guard/etc is completely impractical, irrational, and ridiculous. there is no reason for anyone to speak like a fucking tool to fellow humans, unless you consider the tradition to be vital. there is a way to be a badass and all of this impractical outdated choreographed style has always struck me as downright stupid. this is not at all a defense of the people talking, if i were there i would have told them to shut up personally

  • @magua4 Maybe you would see it differently after serving a few tours, Tradition is held with high regards in the military for a reason

  • @magua4 shut up

  • @magua4 fuck off

  • Good for the Guard..... The Tomb of the Unknowns is hallowed ground and people need to show some respect.

  • I dont quite understand how talking when stood near a grave is somehow showing disrespect to the fallen.

  • @Gooseh The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier isn't just any normal grave. It's symbolic of all of the soldiers who have given their lives for their nation. It is the least anyone can do to be silent at the Tomb to show respect for those have made that sacrifice.

  • @bassackwards11 still, that does not give any reason for the tradition of being silent at graves. a better answer would have been an explanation that, at least from my life experience when there is no conversation, you think within yourself and dont get caught up in the atmosphere of the whoever youre communicating with. it forces you to take in your surroundings and if you are paying respects at a grave, this causes you to really ponder on the meaning of life and death and to really ruminate

  • @Gooseh cause its a moment of silence v.v that is how it is disrespectful

  • not very intimidating though.

  • awesome gave me chills for a sec

  • Hoo Rah!

  • @65derby honor guards like him have different movements, different ways of holding their rifle, etc, etc...

  • Worst Port Arms I have ever seen and you aren't supposed to do facing movements while at Port Arms either. But, I guess his adrenaline was up.

  • @65derby They are allowed to to move at port arms when not standing on the blue strip. Its one of the only exceptions in the Army.

  • Perfect!

  • Outstanding.

  • @infoWARSdotcom enough with your gay little conspiracy theories...just because you're fucked in the head doesn't mean you're allowed to make shit up...im pretty sure if i saw you in person you'd be wearing a tin foil hat...retarded putz!

  • 9/11 was an inside job

  • fuck u faggot skinny ass motherfucker don't yell at me...that's what I would have said to this soldier wanna be

  • @thenenebello21 ... yeah, sure you would have...

  • @BigChiefMike true ....they would kick my ass in 1 second.....I truly respect their effort by being there 24/7

  • @thenenebello21 you wouldnt have gotten past "fuck you*"...just saying

  • @Tcass09 LOL that's true I don't think I would have say anything I truly respect this guys for doing this sacrifice by being there 24/7

  • @thenenebello21 and then this "wanna be" would have stomped your guts out!!!!!!

  • that rocked.

  • Oh My God! I was here this day! I remember it! The date of the video corresponds with it too! Oh my gosh!

  • Right on.

  • That was not yelling. He can't exactly speak quietly, all soldiers speak like this

  • Yes the 3rd Infantry is Army. I was a 3rd Infantrry soldier in Germany. (84-87) Now they are at Fort Stewart, Georgia. Audy Murphy the highest decorated soldier of WW2 was 3rd Infantry. The "Marne Division" Very proud division.

  • I really wish this happened when I went on my school's DC trip...

  • But they put bleachers, right. there.

  • Stupid uncaring pieces of shit should have kept their mouths shut

  • He was doing his job and respecting his unit.... proud of him.

  • @VessieAnnTaylor He respected every man and woman that put on a uniform and sacrificed for their nation.

  • yikes! makes me think of a mad cop

  • FUCKIN TOLD

  • Opps their going right up to H. R.

  • @roflcopter96100 Haha lol

  • if there were a nigger in the crowd they woulda been like you aint my momma!

  • jesus people need to know when to shut the fuck up. god damn

  • GOOD FOR HIM!!! Well done soldier.

  • My man! ,ooooorah s/f

  • what does he say?

  • @Westyrulz "it is requested tht everyone maintain an atmosphere of silence and respect at all times" is what he said =)

  • @DeathXSpanK1 OK thanks. The soldier is right too ask people to hush.

  • @Westyrulz "It is requested that everyone maintain an atmosphere of silence and respect at all times."

  • @Westyrulz it is requested that everyone maintain a atmosphere of silence and respect at all times
