I had been working on some "Bad 16mm film" effects elements during the last month for a series of "educational " films spanning four decades (1940's thru '70's), and this newsreel prologue was the perfect opportunity to test drive some of these effects on a working project. I've also always wanted to do a narration in that antiquated John Cameron Swayze style, too!
Thank you, David! Yeah, the crappy sound really does sell it! The only thing I haven't been able to achieve with my current audio software is "Warbling" or "Wow and Flutter", but I'm working on it!
The voice over was Spot on, but the last part with the scientist was just a bit weird.
