  • When I read about it, I thought it would be treated dramatically, not like shit.

  • Season 9 shouldn't have been made...

It's like Dreamworks making Toy Story 4 without Woody or Buzz.

(meaning that Dreamworks indeed sucks balls and will never be able to top Pixar)

  • Comment removed

  • a season without the janitor and only a bit of JD.. that ain't scrubs !

  • best character

  • If you want to see the janitor again just watch The Middle lol great show

  • I honestly think Janitor is a secret millionaire. Think about it: he doesn't worry about getting fired due to work ethic, the only reason he stayed was to torment JD, and he can afford such elaborate things like a wedding in the bahamas. Also he constantly lies about himself. THINK ABOUT IT!!!! its a theory, though...

  • @kubrox91 I'm pretty sure he has money, cos JD saw him in a movie and the Janitor admitted it was him.

  • what season 9? there was never a season 9 ....play along

  • So one of the best characters and strongest actors, just gives a "fuck it" and disappears? Thats weak... so very weak... Season 9 was horrible and it shouldv never existed...

  • season 9 never happend

  • So they make another season? Rendering the heart breaking season finale void? Nope, this season didn't exsist in my view.

  • That's why I completely skipped season 9 and ended it with Season 8 where it should've ended.

  • The only funny bit of Series 9.

  • And right then and there...I knew, my all time favorite show...was gonna suck.

  • Weak exit for a strong character.

  • @Pankcakes123 I'm a Neil Flynn fan, too, but how the frick was a late-40s janitor supposed to exit? I think it fits his personality perfectly, only having stayed there to torture J.D.

  • @matrixphijr I agree with you.

  • @Pankcakes123 haha true, but it also makes sense because he's the weird kind of person that would do something like that

  • if janitor would be on season 9, I'd see it... but without him .. just... naah !!

  • @HolaSoyGerman There wasn't supposed to be a Season 9 (Bill Lawrence wanted a spin-off called simply "Med School", but ABC wanted another season of Scrubs), Neil Flynn (Janitor) was already committed to another show by the time Season 9 got started

  • I liked season 9

  • Goodbye, Glen Matthews.

  • @Rynnakokki Gen Mafoof.*

  • I thought season nine was funny, not in the same way as scrubs but funny nonetheless.

  • I never watched the 9th season and I don't think I want to but just for the sake of that scene I think it would have been hilarious if the Janitor was the one mopping behind them.

  • @xxVincentHuffxxx I think that is. I am serious. That is cool!

  • lucky bastard... got out while he still could

  • I think Season 9 was just to get elliot pregnant and a rush to get rid of the janitor.

  • I wonder if the rights to scrubs got sold or something. Cause season 9's director's can not be the same as season's 1-8.. Cause 9 FUCKING sucks!!!

  • Secretly, Janitor loved having JD around, and he was his only person who he could talk too, even they properly both annoyed one another. We could see Janitor had some heart thoughout the Scrubs series.

  • I just want to point out that S9 was intended as a spin off: Scrubs Med, but ABC (I think) force Bill Lawrence to call it S9 against his wishes.

In other words, though it is S9 technically, for all intents and purposes it is a spin off. It was designed and executed as one.

    Season 8 was the END.

  • Series 9 was actually pretty good. As long as you're not an aspie asshole with anger issues you'd see that.

  • @MisterBreezer WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN? ILL KILL YOU ALL

  • I can't believe J.D has gone awwww maaan

  • I really don't wish The Janitor appeared more in "season 9" but this has got to be one of the best exits for a character ever; exactly how I would imagine the Janitor leaving.

  • lol fail why are they only one day after J.D left the hospitol in the brand new building??

so far as i know u need more than 24h for a house??

  • @chuckXtheXfirst

Moron. This is weeks, if not months after JD left Sacred Heart. Don't you notice that the Season 8 Interns are Doctors now?

  • @MBConsoleGamers

lol moron i would watch the video first.. turk says :" it was the day after you left"

  • @chuckXtheXfirst You fucking idiot "They day after you left" as in the day J.D. left the next day he quit then like 8 months later they are back teaching.

  • @BreckR

wtf u jerk just look at the hospital whilen turk and the janitor are speaking!!

its the new one.. its a fail by the producer couse the made this sceen at the new set

    stop trolling u kid

  • @chuckXtheXfirst LOL, they just totally misunderstood you...

  • @ZOD4

    haha yeah probably

  • Aw, I thought series 9 was alright.

  • uh, where would i be hiding him?

  • How dare the be arguing on a scrubs video :(

  • It wouldve been awesome if the janitor would have reappeared on this episode at the end to do a surprising prank on JD since he's back.....

  • Scrubs ended with Season 8.Period.....You can call Season 9 a shitty spinoff but don't call it Scrubs

  • @warmaker911 nope you brain dead moron

  • @deathdoom8 Let me tell u what i did back there.Scrubs season 1-8 = me likey,Scrubs season 9 = me throw up.Therefore Scrubs season 9 = existence not acknowledged(by majority of its fanbase). My comment = *sarcasm*.Hence i pronounce you the new village idiot who munches on used tampons.Kindly fuck off

  • @warmaker911 yes yes keep insulting your just proving my point further by insulting

  • @deathdoom8 I can understand your single digit IQ brain is not capable of processing so much information at once.I'll leave you alone now to cry yourself to sleep sad about your erectile dysfunctions.Goodnight u fanny pack sporting transvestite.

  • @ohsosel and jordan and todd

  • Scrubs Season 9 will go down in history as the dumbest move in TV history. They ended on one of the greatest series finales ever...and when it was announced Season 9 was going to happen....every Scrubs fan was angry and disappointed. Scrubs, Season 9....never existed. Season 8, My Finale, was the series finale.

  • @ipodnano4334 Every Scrubs fan? I consider myself a Scrubs fan and I liked it so don't include everyone. Also, Scrubs Season 9 wasn't a dumb move. Having it as a Season 9 instead of a spinoff like Bill Lawrence wanted was stupid and you can blame ABC for that. If they'd done it as a spinoff, it might've worked like Frasier. As for dumbest move in TV history, that award goes to Fox for cancelling Firefly

  • thats creepy

  • Well.... At least J.D still makes Cameos... right?..

    WHY, TOMY, WHYYYYYY?!?!!??!

  • I would quit like the janitor if JD was gone too. ;)

  • Season 9 was supposed to be a spinoff called Scrubs Med, but ABC wouldn't let Bill Lawrence do it and made him have it as a new season instead. :(

It would've been better as its own show and I am sad it got cancelled because I always want to know how things end, and this will forever remain a mystery.

  • @ohsosel Well, actually it isn't. It was made as a show for its own with just some known Characters returning and they kept the name due to marketing advantiges.

  • HOLY SHIT I THINK THE JANITOR ACTUALLY DID HIS JOB, cause that hallway sparkeled

  • Probably got a job at JD's new hospital

  • some people need to turn their scarcasm dectors on

  • Wft r people on about scrubs s9 is real and has been out 4 ages i fuckin have it on dvd. Sum1 expliain why people say this??????

  • @LightningSponsorship Because it sucked.

  • @ShinigamiKage well people can say it sucked but i fucking loved it....i dont really think its scrubs....s7 s8 and s9 were way diffrent to the rest but s9 is a spin off in my opinion....i did like it not really as the old fashoin scrubs but as a new show if u know what i mean

  • I agree ohsosel. They should of just left it at the end of Season 8. The Janitor was one of my fav characters :(

  • season nine is real people, they talked about it on an interview and i saw it myself, and WTF i loved the janitor, how could he just leave like that

  • @999fishandchips you are 1 big fool

  • Where would i be hiding him :P

This scene is the only good thing about season 9.

  • @markkamikaz what about guy love that was funny

  • I love this show but I haven't got to season 4 yet but if they switch chacters they should just find a creative ending like they all get sued or somthong.

  • this was the only good scene in the whole season =P

  • Season 9 is real :/

  • @Skittles91000 no shit, but its not real scrubs, its too terrible.

  • @Skittles91000 no it's not

  • It's not fanmade or CGI. the explanation is even simpler than that. It's a very bad dream that we all woke up from.

  • season 9...new shiny characters, new shiny hospital...absolutely embarrassing. No offense to the new young actors, but not ONE of them has any charm, not one.

The whole angry -sex leading to meaningful relationship between med student no.1 and the blond angry doctor represents EVERYTHING that is putrid about American TV. Did I mention the 'CSI-type ' shiny new hospital.

What a fall from grace. What a tremendous fall.

    Season 1 - 8 : absolute FUCKING GENIUS/CLASS STYLE & SUBSTANCE

  • :/

  • JD Probably forgot his by this point...

  • Anyone notice how unenthusiastic the actors are in season 9? Like, they look like they're just rehearsing their lines in front of a camera. Probably because none of them actually want to be there, they're only there because they're contractually obligated to be there. You can see how much they didn't want to do this just by their acting.

  • @hifuu1716 actually yea it is true it's on season 9 episode one after jd and Turk ruinite

  • Couldn't the janitor just have gotten the job...as a janitor at the school JD was teaching? lol

  • That right there shows, even though he tortures J.D., that he actually loves the guy and that J.D. is the only person he really stayed for after Lady came around and he lost his crush on Elliot (Blond Dr. as he calls her.)

    You have to love Janitor!

  • @2REDDEYE2 Or it could mean that the actor who plays Janitor got his own show. (FACT)

  • um...no. this isnt what rly happens after scrubs season 8. i dont believe any of this is real.

  • in one of the episodes it shows you the janitor in The fugitive, and he later reveales that it was him. so technicaly wouldnt the Janitors name be his actual name of Neil Flynn

  • @McJiam in my opinion the janitor has 3 possible names 1st is that his name is neil flyn n he was kinda playing himself if his acting career never took off 2nd name is the name he told jd glen mathews which in the commentary bill lawrence said he had glen mathews in the script but right after he told jd his ''real name'' a random guy comes n says hey tony so i think his real name is tony n that he was messing with jd one lst time

  • @nwolwo Actually, Bill Lawrence, on his Twitter account finally laid rest to that argument. The janitors real name is, in fact, Glen Matthews. He told JD the truth, and lied to the other guy.

  • saddest day in comedy!!!!!shows

  • People; maybe the janitor is really Glenn Thomas Matthews and his friends know him as Tom and Tommy but he only lets certain ppl know his REAL name?! it's a possibility!

  • Scrubs ends to 8th season!

  • Janitor was my favorite character :(

  • at first i thought hes gonna come back, but in the end i was a bit dissapointed...

  • wow that's such a janitor thing to do. Perfect exit XD it make sense since in the last episode it was never made clear to him that JD got a new job and all. He just said bye. He probably thought it was an extended leave or long vacation or something.

And his sole purpose at that place was to harass JD

  • it wouldve been funnier if that was the actuall janitor behind

  • Please tell me I wasn't the only one to notice the Janitor right behind them...

  • @Rachel10192837465 a janitor, not THE Janitor

  • @joaopedrocndinis .....so. It's still scary O.o RUN JD!!! :D

  • new scrubs sucks i want janitor. DR Jan Itor...

  • That's it? Well then so long...Glen Matthews :D

  • @Dsurvivor21stCentury that name he told J.D was a lie its actually tommy something (idk his last name)

  • @mrkhrules no his name is glenn matthews. Stop spewing BS :P

  • this makes no sense that the janitor wouldn't understand that JD's not coming back considering their departure in the 8th (And FINAL) season. (I don't count this season because it was an insult to the great show that was Scrubs)

  • Did the janitor ACTUALLY even work there, at that point? He got fired, I don't remember him actually getting re-hired, but he told the one girl he was owed a check, so she went to get him one. Either way, a longer exit would not have done Dr. Jan Itor justice. He was weird, impulsive and eccentric. This exit suits his character perfectly. Go season 9! Not as bad as everyone is whining it is!

  • It would have been great if they had the janitor show up randomly wearing some crazy getup because he had been scouring the world to find JD. Then it turns out that he just works as a janitor at a travel agency and made that story up to screw with him.

  • They made this season terrible on purpose. They planned 2 end it on season 8 but the tv ppl told them to carry on so they made it bad to get it cancelled

  • Season 9 ruined the show. It was my favorite show of all time until I saw the first episode of season 9. I shut it off after the first five minutes but I cannot un-see it.

  • And this is why I hate season 9.

I mean really, that's it? He gives Turk the mop and he just leaves. I don't know, but judging by everyone's comments, this has to be the worst character leaving EVER.

  • The Janitor had his Goodbye in Season 8. And thats where Scrubs ended for me, in Season 8.

  • I think the Janitor quit because JD the one person he could call a "friend" left, even though he would never admit it.

  • @hollowichigo778 I think elliot would also be considered a friend of Jan Itor. He told her that she was the only person in the entire hospital that treats him like a human being. Don't remember what episode it was though...but I do see what you're saying.

  • A sad day at Sacred Fart :)

  • haha his purpose was completed so he left.

  • This actually never happened. This is fanmade. Season 9 just DID NOT HAPPEN!

  • @otskitrash um yea it did, season 9 was on tv and everything

  • @BeanieBaby90 Someone's not getting it..

  • @otskitrash and how is this fan made?

  • @pazmaster59

    CGI IT"S ALL CGI

    IT'S NOT REAL

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH *dead*

  • @pazmaster59 I'm pretty sure it was a joke being how season 9 and its new characters simply did not live up to the previous and the poster of that comment along with 50 other people would much prefer to sarcastically erase it from our memories.

  • @CMTOM THANK YOU !!!

  • @otskitrash I doubt a fan would write season 9, no offense to the writers or directors or actors.

  • @otskitrash yes it did, you can find it at movie stores.

  • @n33pyy lol he knows he kidding scrubs fans tend to say season 8 was the real ending even tho there is a season 9. i personally like season 9 not to crazy about it tho

  • @otskitrash I thought season 9 was hilarious. Except for Lucy she sucked. COLLLEEEEE

  • i didnt really like season 9 that much to be honest. But gotta love dr cox being there as he usually is. But the janitor was one of my favorite characters

  • This moment is known in my house as the day scrubs died for me

  • why couldn't he be on this season?

  • erm is this last episode with him? :o cry

  • @ArugalSwe Yes

  • I kinda like this exit.. Fits his character,

  • only because of the sitcom "The Middle" he leaved -.-" how is this sitcom? i live in germany and don't know it.

    R.I.P. Janitor

  • @anteil95 I think it's really good.

  • @anteil95 It's not horrible, but non of the genius of Dr Jan Itor.... It's too much like Malcolm in the middle. Same set up, but nowhere near as funny. I hope they cancel it soon and make a Janitor spin off.

  • In the DVD extras of Season 1, when the producers thought there was no way the show would get a second season, they were planning to have JD realize the Janitor was actually a figment of his imagination as in the first season he never talks to anyone except JD. That would've been an incredibly better ending than this crap.

  • Well scrubs will never be the same with out janitor

  • I read that he left by "Handing turk his mop after being convinced that J.D. was never coming back and left never to be seen again." This is exactly what happened in the video except, it seemed so much sadder when I read about it.

  • I think even this short exit works for him. It shows that over 8 years of basically coming in to work to torment JD, he has nothing better to do and quits. Kind of sad, in a weird way...

  • this would have been fine for todd but the janitor? KNIFE WRENCH?!?!?!

  • Thumb up if you think this scene was not needed at all and was a weak exit for the Janitors character.

  • well, he had to be on "The Middle".

  • The funny thing is that a janitor is behind them. At first, I thought it was him...

  • I usually like long exits, but I feel as this short one, was really a strong one. To me, it shows that he did, and could, do whatever the fucks he wants to do. It makes you remember what an awesome character he was.

But, he was an amazing character, and a longer exit would have been amazing. But to me, the Janitor can pull off either exit.

  • elliot should be the only one who knows where he is.

  • WTF!!! Even Ted the lawyer had a better exit than that.

  • it would have been good if they could get the janitor to be in an extra scene in season 9. like, just walk past J.D. speaking of J.D., am I the only one who thinks he looks fat here?

  • does he leave cause he will miss JD ir cause he is like "my work is done" ?

  • At 0:39 in the background it kinda looks like Glen Mathews (the janitor)

  • @NinjaSkillMoments Glen Mathews is taller than the guy in the background, nice observation though ;p

  • @jerw10ss thanks

  • the only reason they have done this the short way is to let him reappear later

  • He was originaly gunna b a main character in the show but h got a job on the middle and quit :(

this exit was waay too short, if he wasnt gunna b in it at least give him a camo here and there :/

  • Season 9 was great, I wish we'd gotten Season 10

  • I refuse to watch Season Nine. Eight had a perfect ending. I didn't feel the need to prolong the already ended television show.

One of the best shows out there.

  • Although it could have had more time, this did show a lot about the Janitor.

He actually, in the end, liked J.D.

He didn't know what to do with himself now that J.D. was gone!

It's also a homage to the famous original idea that the Janitor was a figment of J.D.s imagination

  • the new hospital looks like it's quasi-futuristic blue steel.

  • they would of done a longer clip but Glen Matthews was also in acting 'the middle' so on paper... he didn't even have to come back and do that clip...

  • @efcnik yea I agree scrubs ended after season eight.

  • @Whoopass2014 nope season 9

  • Scrubs ended after season 8. The Book of Love scene was the perfect way to end it. This was just a spin off in my eyes. Scrubs had 8 seasons.

  • I hate the new scrubs.... miss the janitor and the others, they have destroyed scrubs

  • what? NO!!! THAT SUCKS!!!!

  • i thought it was good enough. short and sweet

  • I wish he stayed and terrorized Lucy

  • I think this was a the best way it could have ended. Everything the Janitor had done before his point was always drawn out and dramatic, his character was always about grandiose plots for revenge. Here, however, he just stops. It wraps up in an instant. No personal reflection, no mopey introspection, just nothing. It's a great juxtaposition to the Janitor's character, and it leaves it up somewhat more to the audience's interpretation than Scrubs usually does.

  • I don't know what people are complaining about IMO I think this is how he would actually quit.

  • I wonder where he went...
