  • Hahaha put this video in the 1911 video mode.

  • i wish i knew how he got his sound

  • @numanuma20

it depends what you mean. it definetely requires more air than a soprano, but is easier to switch notes and slur. it is also a big weight improvement. i play bari sax, and personally, i LOVE the thing. it gives a soft, srisp sound. sincerely, TehParanoil

  • Jesus Christ that guy is putting some serious air through that thing...

  • Bari sax = WIN!

  • This guy has a very unique sound.

  • I LOVE MY BARI SAX! I NAMED MY ARETHA FRANKLIN!

  • IS bari an "easy" saxaphone to play compared to the sarono

  • @numanuma20 Yes, To me atleast it is much easier than the soprano.

  • @numanuma20 Yes, but you will need ALOT of air.

  • @Dbros100x I'm a girl and I'm 4'11" and i march bari :)

  • @hp71196 You must look pretty ridiculous.

  • @AlmostAcceptable Ya it goes almost to my ankles

  • @hp71196 My school doesn't march bari to avoid things like that from happening. Keep it up, though.

  • @AlmostAcceptable well im not gonna march it this season cause we dont have enough tenors :(

  • i play bari sax..im 14 and make jazz concerts all the time...where can i find the sheet music for this?

  • Whats this piece called? I heard it when I was like 11, but i want to listen to it again and play it on my clarinet..

  • @MrMojojojo1995 Yakety Sax... hence the video title

  • RКлассно

  • I picture in my mind a bunch of fat people chasing Porky Pig around, ala Benny Hill...

  • this makes me wish i still had my bari...

  • just.... WONDERFUL !!!

  • 1:26

    What the hell is happening

  • @nybrave08 I think he died :L

  • This video is cooler than a monkey dipped in ice cream, which I believe the kids aren't saying these days.

  • @WeLoveActing ditto

  • Oh man, this song makes me cry everytime. It reminds me of my dear Uncle Flacko. He passed away when he was trying to break the world's record for making the largest vat of chipotle sauce. He was overcome by the spicy fumes, passed out and drowned in the sauce. Needless to say, the contest was cancelled. Uncle Flacko, you'll always be a winner in my book, R.I.P. Uncle Flacko!!!

  • @MrKittytoenails

    what the fuck?

  • @g0tcadaver Thank you for your sincere concern. Each day gets a little better, but it still really hurts.

  • @MrKittytoenails its so sad... all that chipotle sauce gone to waste

  • @MrKittytoenails u kiding me right i really hope ur just joking

  • @cowsscareme15 how dare you accuse him/her of lying about the death of their uncle flacko, who was dear to their heart!

  • @barimusicman im srry i thought this was a joke

  • @barimusicman Thank you, it means a lot, man!

  • @MrKittytoenails really? thats quite a way to go out i suppose :)

  • @smoothjamskillmoure ineed it is

  • @MrKittytoenails baaahahhahaha.

  • @MrKittytoenails Why didn't he wear some face gear to filter the air then?

  • You Bari players make sure to transpose it into the right key lol. It's written in B Flat.

  • @WeLoveActing haha YES! im thinking about using this as my all-state audition!

  • What mouthpiece is he using

  • I HATE BAKLAVA!!!!!!!!!! >;(

  • it'd be better if there was more "bounce". kinda lameeee without it. it's a fun song. have fun with it.

  • damn

  • One of the most fun instruments for me to play!

  • What kind of Bari does he play?

  • Hell he can change whatever octave he wants. Sure sounded good. It's adding your own pizzaz.

  • う・・・うまい・・

    かっこいい・・

  • He looks suspiciously like the dutch comedian André van Duin :o

  • Where'd he get the beast white mouthpiece??

  • does anyone know how he gets his sound? it seems different to me ,and i like it.

  • Cool! I play tenor but Ive been playing only for less than a year. Tjat guy has a quick toungue

  • cooooooool!

  • who is this dude

  • u think bari is the best check out the contrabass sax

  • u think bari is the best check out the contrabass sax

  • @decoy1784 but the contrabass is cool but its so low it just sounds kinda bad

  • i play bari sax XD

  • @guitarhero3rox97 Me Too!!! In the top band, and 3rd in state!!!!!

  • Tenor is the beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssstttttest sax ever

  • @LivefromCO I know! I mean, bari's cool and all but tenor kicks ass!

  • @LivefromCO nope. the bari is

  • is it hard to play bari sax when u switch from clarinet?

  • @SeldumNumberXXI No not really. Clarinet fingerings from D (in the staff) and up are the same on the sax both octaves. The embouchure is a tad different and the spacing from key to key is a tad different. Other then that you should be ok.

  • It's a lot harder switching from something like flute to bari, (which is what I did). The bari takes a lot of deep air, and the reed will be about double the size of your clarinet reed-

  • It's a completely different embouchure; much more open, so it's not easy, but it's easier than starting from scratch. Definately give it a go! :)

  • @SeldumNumberXXI it wasnt bad for me,but it was the first week but i got better and also i complety forgot how to play the clarinet!

  • يعني شنو الهدف

  • hey its the saxophonist from the michael nyman band!!!

  • wow...it takes alot of skill to play this song...and keep a straight face this song makes me giggle like everytime i hear it...

  • oooh white brillhart

  • I play the bari sax and the only one in my school XD. i can play this, but not as fast =O. and he sounds good... love this song on the bari =)

  • what r the notes

  • i worship anyone who plays baritone sax, cause you just dont see as many...im only one of like 2 people in my whole school who have the breath support and technique to play it properly

  • @randommusicgrl115 We Soprano Sax players don't get any love.. lol

  • @randommusicgrl115 well then you will love this. I have 2 bari saxes and one of which I literally found rotting in the corner of the band room at my school and the band director let me have it as long as I fix it. I did and it plays better than my newer bari. I found out it is an ORSI. The other bari is a Selmer USA. P.S. I am 12 years old.

  • 0:31 that bassist looks awesome

  • I love that tune

  • Is he using a Brilhart Ebolin?

And my god he sounds so good.

  • i play baritone sax and flute but im better in flute, i just started bari 2 weeks ago :)

  • hey guys. all of us can pick up any sax an play it. its all the same. just different mouth and size, stuff like that. i play my dads tenor

  • Pretty much true, but to me Alto is the easiest to get the sound wrong. But in my opinion Tenor is really easy and has great sound.

  • The song is originally for Bb instruments. Alto and Bari are Eb. That's probably why it usually sounds weird. This guy I think is actually in a different key from the original

  • You are a tard. It was written for guitar

  • So your telling me Yakety SAX was written for guitar? No, tenor sax.

  • it was written for sax ur the retard boots randolph wrote aand he played tenor sax the music for the guitar part didnt even come out guitar played the bass part

  • @hasa8177 ??? What about yakety SAX says it was written for guitar?

  • yea, but it takes a LOT more air than tenor...breath support is key with bari...and especially with what is being played...its a lot more than notes and knowing tenor

  • I love yakety sax it's awesome.

  • kick butt...

  • i miss my bari sax so much i left it at school for christmas break

  • =[ I hate when I do that. Lol I always end up regretting it. Although I only play an alto I'm hoping I can get a bari really soon! It sounds so amazing.

  • same here lol

  • i know how u feel

  • i play a baritone! lol

  • bari sax is da awesomest sax ever

  • that is sweet

  • Comment removed

  • ive only seen jazz saxists use them. i think they are just a white mouthpiece. i personally use a selmer c* star when i play jazz. but i wish i knew what kind it was to

  • @PaigeandDerek I played also with a selmer c*, but isn't it too small for you?

  • nah its small but it also allows more air to get through the horn. i would use a metal mouthpiece but you have to bit down real hard to get good sound

  • A C* shouldn't be used in jazz.

  • What mouth piece is used in this song?

  • Brilhart Tonalin ??

  • Bari's love jumping and definately dropping octaves.

  • @Iamasaxplaya i agree i play bari and i do the same thing for concerts and marching band...my band director says its fine if i do that xD

  • @Iamasaxplaya because it's easier :P (from my own experience at least :P )

  • i dont think the baritione could decide what octave it was in

  • Amazing. It sounded great!!!

  • i luv playing that song on alto. not as well as him, but decent

  • good one!

  • @boltnut33 xD totally true

  • I play tenor, and my friend plays bari. Don't think either of us are close to being this good.

  • wow excellent

  • that guy is fucking amazing

  • hes awsome this guys crazy dude i could never play that on my alto

  • BARI SAX FTW!

  • WIN

  • i play euphonium and bmx. the bottom line is the sax playing is good and the bmx sucks.

  • Shut up about what faith he may or may not follow and enjoy Yakety Sax already. Jeez.

  • No thats the point..its good tho

  • Jew or no jew he's good

  • FUCK YOU CUM SUCKER!

  • jew

  • dude its one OCTAVE lower,he is in the right key its just LOWER

  • OMG its Benny Hill WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • what is the song called? its sound cool^^

  • im sorry but the bass clarinet doesnt even compare to a baritone saxophone, its still just an opinion though

  • lol that sounds funny

  • omg, that would be soo fun to play

  • That sounds cool!

  • thats crap the bass clarinet is no where near the next best instrument to the bari

  • You're right, it's miles ahead!

  • i play bass clarinet the next best instrument to barri sax

  • no the next best is tenor falowed buy saprano sapranino alto trombone french horn flute calranet bass claranet then trumpet brings up the back just kidding

  • bass clarinet should be last

  • I disagree. I have played both bass clarinet AND baritone saxophone quite a lot and six out of seven days of the week, I very much prefer bass clarinet, so shut your cakehole! Baritone saxophone can't hold a torch to the bass clarinet.
