  • lightning bolt! lightning bolt! lightning bolt!

  • @packetcreeper SLEEP!

  • @Airsoftdweeps

M4 Carbine: We Go To War

Airsoft is not anymore of a realistic "LARP" of war than LARP medievil warfare, in fact, depending on the group, it's more realistic than the airsoft nerds ever come close to.

So next time you want to say that your version of playing war is more accurate? Try actually going to war first. I mean seriously, can't people just enjoy a hobby they like anymore?

  • @Kitzah Ah but don't think airsofting isn't a realistic reenactment. Make fun of the backyard, clear gun slinging morons all you want, but real airsofters are the shit! Let's team up an bag on the paintballers, they're not realistic at all :P

  • Airsoft: We LARP war

And it can be funny too. ^^

And please do not discredit the "sport" by shooting out other poor LARPers eyes.

  • Shit just got for real.

  • Does anyone know a place where they do this like..every weekend? I'm gonna come up there on a dirt bike with my paintball gun and just wreck shit.

  • @ArtranGaming

google events in your area or nearest to you

  • @ArtranGaming : You want to shoot them ... lol ...

When you alone attack a group like those (~ easily around 50 people) you'll end up most likely beaten up by the "nerds".

    Don't be stupid dude!

  • I would come as master chief and shoot all their asses

  • i think it would be be funny as hell to crash one of these things with a paintball gun haha

  • Leeeeeeeroy Jaaaaaankins xD

  • thumbs up if you yelled leroy jenkins in the slomo partt

  • the fuck is this

  • well to his credit he did break up their formation, too bad the rest of his army was composed of basement dwelling cowards who failed to follow up with an attack. oh well. their empire sucked anyways.

  • Shot to the nuts, and you're to blame,

Baby, you give LARP a bad name!

    *air guitar solo*

  • LARP sucks major donkey dong for the simple fact that they are too afraid to hurt each other.

  • Why call these dudes nerds? What is really so different from playing football to being outside dressed like a Viking? :P

Its both Live Action Role play. Think about it you are not a sports star. Why play sports? haha! At least they are outside lol

  • @tokorev747777 Lol lets see how many of us playing football will get buns compared to Larpers or Larpees or whatever you call them.

  • @ButtCake420 Lets see you pricks join the Marine and actually do something

  • @ButtCake420 i bet you get alot of buns..... from men BUTTCAKE BWAWAWAWAWA

  • You know there is a forum you can roleplay on that also has a wiki for any characters you create, its really extensive and makes rping really easy. if you like roleplaying you should check it out, its where I RP

    its:

    roleplaylegends . com

  • Dude i would love to show up in the middle of one os these fights dressed as commander shepard, shooting evry1 with and airsoft gun while shouting "I save galaxies and kill reapers so die mofos"

  • @claudiosilva123 Yeah man cool, oh wait, that's called being a douchebag XD

  • @F1R9A9G2Z i'm sry dude, u probably love these kind of things. i just thought it was kinda cool u know. :P

  • @claudiosilva123 Too bad rpg games have more success than all call of duties combined. Just sayin... Don't try and fight the "MW2 Pwns Nintendo Noob assssss." Cuz if you do, you're more worthless then the United States Economic Agenda.

  • @Thebriangriffinblog LOL. Do u know who commander shepard is? LOL

He main character of a series called MASS EFFECT one of the best RPG GAMES OF ALL TIME defenitely in the top 5. So i didnt fully understand your reply but i hope mine clears some things.

  • @Thebriangriffinblog

That's a lie and you know it...

  • @Jatc93 Two bad Original gaming pwns minimal skill shooters.

  • @Thebriangriffinblog

You're talking to a person who dispises the CoD franchise in general and almost exclusively plays RPGs. I'm just saying that there's no chance in hell. Your point was either the ENTIRE RPG genre outsells CoD, which is probably true but is still a shit point, or that there's a series that outsells one of the highest grossing franchises of recent years, which is absolute bullshit.

  • @Jatc93 ok you two, relax. no1 is better than anyone else. just relax.

  • @OceanSkate401

I was just making a point xD

  • @claudiosilva123

And then you'd be the biggest retard of the bunch. Yeah, think about it.

  • @claudiosilva123 Do you think you're any cooler because you airsoft? Haha.

  • @claudiosilva123 "I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favourite LARP on the Citadel"

  • @claudiosilva123 dude i would get in there with you i'll be grunt =)

  • @claudiosilva123 you'd never end up a commander as long as you use terrible grammar and spelling.

  • @claudiosilva123 Well the only problem for you is that you would be chopped to death with foam swords

  • What the fuck is larp

  • Wow that guy had a level 4 strength cape. He must be a n000000b if he got defeated.

  • BOOM HEADSHOT

  • Take your arguments somewhere else

  • LLLLLLEEEEEEERRRRROOOOOYYYYY JJJJJJJEEEEEEENNNNNNKKKKIIIINNNSSSS!!!!

  • HAHAHA

  • So many morons here in the comment section. How about you guys go play larp and see for yourself? Don't bash something you don't know shit about.

  • How on earth can you all say "at least they're doing something they like". What if what they liked was murdering people? I'm sorry, but when you're THIS motivated to escape reality, there's something wrong. If you want to play with a sword, take up fencing. Otherwise put your energy in living and experiencing THIS world.

  • @Draino8 You're assuming a whole lot about these people. Who knows how often they play, how much they talk about it outside of playing, or their general attitude toward life?

And consensual outdoor gaming isn't analogous to murder.

  • @Draino8 your old arent you?

  • @Draino8 Says some guy watching youtube videos. You probably weight fucking 300 pounds.

  • @Draino8 larping is a part of THIS world. I don't see them opening up a worm hole to go to another world, they are still here, interacting with real people here. Do you watch sports? do you play sports? do you pay money to sit in a stadium? Do you buy a ticket to watch movies in the theatre? what are your thoughts toward paid actors, people who escape reality for a living? What are your thoughts toward board games, card games, video games? Past times are for escaping.

  • @Draino8 I've done fencing, and find that, unless you own a proper fencing rapier, epee, or foil, and can carry it with you wherever you go, it does you little good. Sure, reflexes, balance, etc... but the people who battle like this will be able to pick up a broomstick, lead pipe, hammer, crow bar, whatever, and defend themselves and loved ones from home invasion or whatever. That's part of THIS world, crappy place that it is. Fencing just doesn't apply to the real world anymore.

  • @Draino8 Fencing costs money, requires lessons, requires a teacher, requires uniforms and equipment, none of which you can make yourself. Fencing requires no crafting skill and requires no friendly interaction. Fencing is a sport, it is a formal competition, it is point based, and it has formal rules that will train you to fail in a real combative encounter, just like many so called martial arts. These larpers may be much the same, but in that regard, Fencing is no better an option.

  • @LMMEjsmith Haha, wow, what a reaction! Are you all SERIOUSLY comparing activites like watching YouTube, sports, and movies to Larping? And then jump on me for making a non-linear comparison to murder? We're talking about a group of people who create an entirely different persona, set in a fantasy realm, and stay in character for days at a time. And yes, I know enough about larping to make that assumption. When you put that much effort into leaving THIS society behind, it's inevitably going to

  • @LMMEjsmith have an impact on how you interact with everyday life. Just like any other obsession (and yes, I believe in some "Larping cases" that can be said) it's the consequences that you should focus on, and NOT the positives. And no, larping is not a part of THIS world. I've been curious enough about it to look into the actual rules and how it's played out. I've seen make believe maps drawn up, and factions created. Pastimes are fine, hobbies are great, but when it begins to become

  • @LMMEjsmith dibilitating to your grip on real life situations and every day occurances, then you have a problem.

  • @Draino8 if you're going to make a general response to everyone who disagrees with you, fine. Just so long as you know that responding to ME about what other people say isn't going to make a difference in my stance. I'm not the one who said anything about your comparison to murder or watching youtube. And i didn't jump on you. I asked questions and made other comparisons as well. You haven't answered the questions, and only responded to part of the comparisons.

  • Yes, we are talking about people who take on alternate personas, as do actors. We are also talking about people who are physically engaging in a game, as do sports athletes. I've yet to see any proof anywhere that links role playing to social ineptitude. People don't have problems dealing with real life because they role play, the problem often was pre-existing. If role playing were such a real problem, then we'd see more mental patients than we do, in America, Canada, Europe...

  • I do agree, IF their immersion in the game did lead to a debilitating grip on real life, they would have a problem, but the problem isn't as wide spread as it would be if role playing were the only factor needed to push someone over the deep end. The "inevitability" of this has a lot more to do with the stability of one's mind. Assuming they have good mental health, and only meet, what, once a month for a weekend? They'll be fine.

  • And i've yet to see your explanation of why larping isn't a part of this world. It's a real game, like paint ball, monopoly, poker. The only difference is that they are acting. How about a game of charades, where you have to pantomime something while people guess what it is? How about a game of Mafia, where people pretend to be mobsters, policemen, and doctors? Are those not part of this world?

  • People play these games for a release from the every day grind. Maybe their job is really stressful and they need to de-stress. Maybe they just got a divorce and want to forget for a while. Maybe there's nothing to do in the neighborhood they live in, so they get together with some friends and play a game. They could play some basket ball in the Y. They could form a theatre troupe. They could go hiking or climbing. The "legitimacy" of these activities does not invalidate larping as recreation.

  • Are you sure you're not just trying to rationalize a knee-jerk response to something you have an inherent dislike for? It has come to my attention fairly recently that there are some people who quite simply do not like imaginative play. Things like imagining talking fruit disturb them for the sole reason that they are not real. They do not want to imagine what the fruit or vegetable might think, if they could think, because they do not think, and that is how it should stay.

  • @LMMEjsmith In all honesty, I only responded to you because you were pretty much the only one that presented a sound argument. Well except for the wonderful well thought out insult that I must "weight 300 lbs". But yes, not that there aren't positives to getting involved with something like this. Sure, getting outside, running around, exercising, yada yada, all good stuff. And I'm also not saying that everyone involved in this is socially unstable, or will develop some mental disorder.

  • @LMMEjsmith Just that simply put, I DO believe that some people involved can become too immersed. Because yes, I believe for that to happen, they already have to have some existing issue with reality. But I also believe that an activity like this will attract those types. Now before I go further, I would like to point out that I absolutely did not come to this conclusion out of a knee jerk response. I thought it was pretty interesting when I first came across it. But then I started looking into

  • @LMMEjsmith it further, and started to see disturbances. I watched a documentary called Darkon, where I even remember quite a few people say that they enjoy role playing because they get to be something and someone they're not. Which is great, if it builds confidence. But NOT if that confidence is confined to this fantasy world and doesn't carry over into their regular lives. And yes, it can be refreshing to leave problems behind and find an escape, but again not if that escape becomes more real

  • @LMMEjsmith to them then our actual society. As far as comparing it to things like poker, basketball, monopoly, is a little unjustified. Sure they can all be considered hobbies and pastimes. But larping stands apart because it has the power to allow some people to switch from enjoying it as an activity, to allowing it to take over their lives. Because once you start pretending to be something that you're not, something that you admire, then it can become an addiction. And nothing else truly

  • @LMMEjsmith matters. So to reiterate, no I don't think as a whole it is a bad thing. But I believe it can easily become an obsession for those attracted to it. And as far as actors are concerned, it's kind of a grey area. I believe to be a truly excellent actor means you lose a lot of your own identity. That's the only way to REALLY portray something that you're not. A lot of the ones I know, are pretty unstable.

  • @Draino8 Ok, sounds like we're on a similar page then. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. And just to clarify, i didn't comment on your weight, darklordixor did. Peace out!

  • @Draino8 How many of these supposed anti-social cases would become "up-standing citizens" and how many would instead turn to, say, drugs or crime or alcoholism if larping wasn't around? Removing one source of relief won't reduce the number of unhappy people; that's treating the symptoms, not the decease. At least larping won't kill anyone, with a few noteworthy exceptions.

  • @Draino8 HERESY! *BLAM!*

  • @Draino8 You're comparing having fun roleplaying to murder?

  • @Draino8 uh.. yeah but they aren't murdering people. It's called having fun. And about "escaping reality" judging by you going on youtube and your history of watching videos with video games you're quite the hipocrit to talk . Cause isn't video games/internet also an escape? To be honest I see THIS video actually more healthy since they are going outside and running around exercising instead of sitting in house all day. At least it's more productive.

  • @TickityTockers And really? Did you HONESTLY look to my YouTube history as an argument? Because while I'm watching YouTube or anything else for that matter, I'm still ME. People in this world are cluesless enough about who they are, they certainly don't need to muddle that up even more by pretending so hard to be something that is utterly made up.

  • @Draino8 I just saw your history when I clicked on your name that's all. (It shows up on your channel) And I really think you are taking it way too seriously that it needs to be. It's just a game. I've played dungeons and dragons before where i had to pretend to be a character. Doesn't mean i think i am the character and wish badly to be one. i have a life of my own with a great job going on making good money. So lighten up. You may be YOU, but YOU don't know THEM.

  • @Draino8 You, dear boy, just got *Turns around dramatically*

    *dramatic pause*

    *Pause*

    *pause...*

    ...Skoold ;D

  • bis sich einer ein auge asusticht...

  • eh he did break their line and made half of them turn inwards....if his boys had rolled up faster it could have been devastating to more than just his testicles :D

  • why would you charge straight into an army by yourself? i know it looks good in the movies, and i know nothing about actual battle, but unless it's a distraction, it is not a good strategy.

  • I could say the same about the retards who hang out in parking lots at 1am or waste all day at the mall

  • @gmanney06 wow you are such a fag, "OMG THEY ARE DOING SOMETHING DIFFERENT THEY MUST BE KILLED!" jeez i never knew hitler came back... and they probably do have jobs asshole, you are the one INSIDE trolling on people having fun and getting excercise OUTSIDE..

  • @gmanney06 I dont do this stuff but I think its awsome there doing the things they like, whats the difference of dudes throwing a ball in a basket? these guys like playing with swords people like you enjoy playing with balls..simple.

  • @bloodgunslinger I know right.

  • That guy has watched The Lord of the Rings too many times

  • That guy has watched to many cartoons...

  • This is how I paintball, run in guns blazing. No one expects it the first time.

  • Forget Lord of the Rings. This is what actually happens when you try to act like a hero.

  • @PrUnEJuIcEtHeThIrD Amen to that, 1 part brave 3 parts completely stupid

  • Pfahahaha you dumb fuck! oh gods, It's shit like this that makes me want to get into LARPing.

  • LEROOOOOOOOOOOOY!!!

  • I guess I have to be that guy. I don't think any person peering through his laptop watching LARPing vids has any right to call these guys out, especially considering THEY'RE the one's outdoors.

  • @IOYB I am watching these videos because i have no idea what larp is and my bff wants to do it so i am researching basically i think this look s awesome..

  • @anotherlonelyheart1 If you mean watching and awesome as in laughing at these fucking assclowns then I understand. If you mean it looks awesome as in you and your "bff" whatever the is would like to try, then you yourself and the "bff" are total fucking dorks that more than likely jack off to Harry Potter.
