  • this was a great early mornng show-- Only one I watched -- Tom and Laurie were great together and the guests were sometimes not the totally mass recognized type but nonetheless super talented! --the road warrior locations were great! -Fun very fast moving show ---Would be great if it ever came back!!!

  • i would pay over 100 dollars for a 4 blu ray disc of best of Breakfast time

  • @joe21v78 I'd pay $100 a piece for complete season sets including the Fox After Breakfast Years. $150 for commentary from Tom, Laurie, Jim, and Bob for each episode

  • this show embraced my childhood pre and current highschool

  • I loved that show when I was a kid. I thought the news was boring until I saw this fX Breakfast Time.. fX channel was cool back then. It was the only channel I really watched besides Nickelodeon and Disney Channel... I loved the old rerun shows and the original programming. It exposed me to shows my folks liked when they were kids but they were new to me. I wish the old channel would come back... I always wanted to visit that apartment. Where was the apartment exactly?

  • God, what memories. I loved Breakfast Time (and Breakfast Time Anytime. Don't forget the repeated show in the evening.) I remember this episode, the apartment tour. I was in college when this show was on, and my roommate and I watched this every morning or every afternoon. Loved it. Laurie was hot, too. Tom Bergeron was at his best, Wish it was still on; I'd watch it every day.

  • This was possibly one of the best morning tv shows of all time, before the Fox Mega Corporation got too big for itself and started making erroneously bad decisions for all of television. To this day, Fox is possibly the worst thing to happen to TV, and especially TV Sports

  • FX was so good back then. They were a TV Land

  • Nothing you can say more about this show (and all the other mid-90's fX shows), other than to say that it was an idea WAY ahead of its time. I miss it.

  • Wow - what a great ending!

Bergeron is really that damn good.

He doesn't really have an outlet to do this kind of stuff anymore, which is a shame.

  • I loved the show and man did I love that apartment. FX hasn't been the same since they ditched the apartment and all those shows.

  • So DWTS is not Tom's 1st time in a TV ballroom.

  • I was part of a short film shot in "the apartment" as it was called back in 96 with Phil Koegen, Al Rosenberg (Bob the puppet) short was called: "Just Dessert" we had a blast shooting it over the course of two or three nights and it turned out pretty good. I played the part of a cheesy movie producer. This building was a blast.

  • Laurie Hibberd is married to Michael Gelman of Live w/Regis & Kelly. Tom Bergeron was just on Chelsea Lately and said that Gelman won't book him on that show, b/c he's pissed that Tom didn't do more for her when Fox got rid of Hibberd.

  • yeah I read that. I don't think it's Tom's fault I think it's Fox's fault. Idiots!

  • I too loved this show, I miss it

  • When Laurie put her mike down to listen to the director, Chuck...did he say "fucking"? LOL. If so, gotta love live tv!

  • I always thought the idea that every network show took place in the same building was a really interesting, fun and spontaneous idea that made the viewer feel like they were invited into the home, and were apart of their "family".

Whether it was breakfast time (in the kitchen), the news (in the office), an antique show (in the ballroom) or talking about pets (in the den). Of course, the side benefit was that it was very cheap to do. I was disappointed when they killed this concept.

  • i LOVED this show! tom bergeron was so hot, and he and laurie were both funny! they were great at improvising and just going with the flow... i was sad when they cancelled the show. it was so innovative. thanks for the posts!

  • Thank you for putting this up! I was a very loyal fan of this show - it was CREATIVE GENIUS, unique, refreshing, and exhilerating! I became friends with one of the Road Warriors Spencer Garbett and remained so until his death in 1997. All other morning shows are PALE imitations of what this show offered. God! I wish they would simply rebroadcast these shows they were so enjoyable to watch! I smiled non-stop. Thank you for all these posts!

  • I loved this show
