  • Isr only teaches babies to float for 3 or 4 minutes. A baby drowned despite having taken isr lessons because no one found him in time, which was only 15 minutes after he disappeared into his pool. EJ Johnson died despite the isr classes he took.

  • there should be a law against filming kids like this somewhere

  • This is great. Plus, swimming is a natural instinct which is why mantaining this as an infant is such a good idea. Everyone should know how to swim, it's vital in life!

  • Don't worry, this is a trained professional.

  • i have no idea what to think

  • This is how I learned to swim.

  • I so want some one to teach me swimming :(

  • I think that kid was sleeping for a minute there.

  • Michael Phelps fell into my pool last week, but he wasn't ISR trained.

    He died.

  • ...or you could get a pool gate

  • ROBOTS I TELL YOU ROBOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That's amazing.

  • I mean, come on, infant doesnt suppose to survive in situations like this, otherwise they are not infant. Just take care of your children properly, will you? guess why there is training like this ? how many infant has already dead like this in America.

  • @edanvo accidents are going to happen. theres no way around it and if a baby fell into water and didn't know this then their chance of dying is higher. what you're saying that teaching them this is unimportant anyways. nice reasoning.

  • that kid was so cash

  • that is unsafe to say the least

  • Lol @ how they leave the first baby in the water for ages

  • its scary when baby is a better swimmer than a black man

  • @BottlefaceMovies I swim well

  • i would love a job where i get to throw babies into a pool all day for $

  • @BrianEaZy HA HA LOL Dude. Me too

  • i dont like how long they left that child :s but i guess its a good idea..... but i dont know if i could stop myself from diving in and getting it out (i would never let my child in get in to a situation like that but still never hearts to chuck them in to check they are ok :s)

  • Navy SEAL training starts so young these days.

  • The baby fell in the pool! Quick, grab a camera!

  • must have taught the babies using the nirvana method, dangle money in front of there faces.

  • what a badass

  • Punch some more into the pool, for demonstration purposes. Also let them float for at least half an hour just to be sure it works!

  • "To prove that their techniques really work, ISR pushed a bunch of babies into a pool and filmed the result."

    oh lol

  • Would your child be able to survive if you never put in her in life threatening situations?

  • @khirhenderson but u'll never be able to watch them 24/7 for the rest of their lives! why not start early? A wise man said

" I give you a fish and i feed you for a day, i teach you how to catch fish and i feed you for the rest of your life"

  • at first I thought it was a japanese robot child

  • I bet alot of human beings smile when they realize they aren't actually going to die.

It doesn't mean they wont be traumatized after.

  • This is probably the most astounding video I've seen on youtube.

  • traumatize a child. its for his own good.

  • awesome! I wont have to spend money on a babysitter ever again.

  • shit's real

  • Do you see how the baby immediately smiles after his dad picks him up? that's a sign that he knows it's training. No way would a baby be happy that fast if he was really in that situation (without the ISR wizardry)

  • @mrgandi like if his life was just saved by his father?

  • Respect to the parents who take their babies to learn this, pool or not.

  • WHAT THE FUCK!

  • One part of me is saying "For christs sake get him OUT OF THAT WATER!!!" the other part of me is saying "Well hey, it looks like it actually works so I guess ok then"

  • People that complain or give a dislike to this video are too obsessed about images, you guys do a great job.

  • BABY!

BABY, GET OUT OF THAT POOL! You can't swim. You're a fucking baby!

  • Was anyone else uncomfortable watching the baby calling out while he floated? I mean...yes, I realize he was doing well and there were people all around. But I bet he didn't know that it was all for a video. I bet that baby was like, " Why the hell are you standing over there and NOT helping me up, Dad?"

  • @soprano0106 I was really uncomfortable, but if he were to ever fall into a pond or something it might be 30 seconds to a minute or two before an adult finds him and gets him out (: If you watch his face he saying he wants dada to take him out of the pool that he's done, but he's not panicking.

  • sooo cute when the baby and the dad smile together :D

  • Dogs wouldn't have this problem... Dogs > babies

If that baby can't swim, then why did he buy a house with a pool?

  • Its actually a chubby adult man in a blue jumpsuit - Its done with perspective.

  • my sister fell in our baby sitter's pool when she was a toddler, luckily she decided to just sit on the bottom and hold her breath until someone found her and pulled her out. I do wonder if this program makes the babies grow up to hate the water or fear it.

  • How about NOT LETTING THEM GET NEAR AN INGROUND POOL?

  • @clark3783 Some kids are just problems. My younger brother used to run away at every opportunity. At a large family gathering he left, and was found standing by a neighbor's pool that did not have a fence surrounding it. Luckily we found him in time.

  • i can see the point of the video ... but is it necessary to leave the child floating helpless in the middle of the pool literally crying for his Dada?

  • This video makes me kill the ISR staff!

  • 14 people want to drown babys

  • 2:25

    I'm deaddddd!

  • Comment removed

  • @WickidHolly

you probably shouldnt be chillin online while your infant is alone in a tub full of water anyway.

  • @WickidHolly uh, what? Why were you on Youtube if your 4 year-old was in the bathtub? Nice parenting.

  • "...float, swim, and survive in an aquatic environment."

Holy shit, I wanna learn how to live underwater.

  • @MidoriFan10 literally the best comment ive seen on any video in so long. totally made me feel undisturbed by this vid

  • lesson 2: teaching your baby how to survive in ocean swells

  • Felt a bit uncomfortable just watching it, let alone teaching kid to do it.

  • impressive, but very hard to watch

  • Really, really impressive! Nice video.

  • SOMEONE RESCUE THE BABY

  • Stop filming that kid and get him out of the water

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA@ when the baby starts calling his dad, i think he knows that he pushed him!!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA@ when the baby statrs calling his dad, i think he knows that he pushed him!!

  • Shit, I think I would probably drown in this situation. Can the babies save me?

  • I don't know if the weirdest part is the babies floating blissfully in a situation which should be prompting their untimely demise, or the slow orchestral music playing in the background thats reminiscent of leisurely walks through a meadow on a summer day, offset by occasional screaming of a near-drowning youngster.

  • i found it very hard to masturbate to this video.....hard, not impossible.

  • you could do this and risk traumatizing your child- OR you could just watch them carefully like a fucking good parent...

  • @23ClassyLady23 how is noramlizing a child to water going to traumatize them ? are they traumatized by a pillow the first time they feel one ? i mean seriously are you retarded ?

  • @blazontroll Some kids have a fear of water in general- my little cousin can't even take a shower because water on his head scares him. So throwing them into a pool would not help... I'm sure this helps some kids but I'd say about half of the kids at that little boys age would just freak out.

  • @23ClassyLady23 So it makes you a bad parent if your child manages to accidentally fall into a pool and drown?

  • @Simurgh well you're certainly not a careful parent.... a careful parent would have a fence around the pool or a cover on the pool, and would never let a non-swimming child in the backyard unsupervised.

  • @23ClassyLady23 or you could get your child used to the water so they DON'T get traumatized later.

  • Cute baby. I want to teach my daughters this. My oldest will totally freak out tho. She screams like a stuck pig when you pour a little water over her head.. pff weakling!!

  • Wow i cant believe that but get the poor baby out of the water!

  • Or you could just put a fence around your fucking pool.

  • Why are there so many retards watching this?

  • it's obviously a bald midget

  • Why was a person ready with a camera!?!? WTF!?

  • @skatingfanman If you would have read the shit you'd know they were trained to not drown.

  • shit, It's only a matter of time before they become self aware!!

    oh wait...

  • Someone definitely pushed that first baby in.

  • what will they think of next?

  • I would trip the fuck out if I was over at someone's house and their baby is just floating on it's back yelling.

  • In other news, pool phobia on the rise...

  • this is weird as hell

  • why didnt they show the baby getting in the pool? they pushed him in?

  • @DigitalDistribution The baby didn't "get in the pool". It fell. It's not like it used the damned ladder. And at some point filming a baby falling into a pool (pretend or not) is just verging on sick voyerism. I imagine they had a lot of safety backups out of shot.

  • The crickets...they're everywhere!

  • I know this is a good thing, but.... come on. come on. come on shelley. How about expecting more accountability and responsibility on the parents or whomever left the sliding glass door open and the pool cover off?

  • @Trucifer Are u kidding me? Can nobody have a different priority from you?

a- I want to feed poor people

b- NO! You should be working against the system that allows them to be poor in the 1st place!

a- Can't I just want to help poor people my way?

  • Aww how cute! They're starting to make flotation devices out of babies now!

    I'll take 16!! ^_^

  • or you know you could just not own a pool

  • ALL OF MY FEAR RGNFSDVJNTEJOGNFVJDLCN

IT'S OK LITLLE BABBY MAN IT'S OK

  • Even though the baby is safe it still stresses me out to see it just floating there. wow :)

  • smart kid

  • Was he the navy seal who took out Osama?

  • why is this baby's yard so fucking loud?

  • like a boss

  • I was a badass at 6 months, learned to swim at 3 months. Drove a car by age 2.

    Not impressed.

  • My wife can barely do this...

  • its funny.

  • Captain obvious says: Maybe if you watch your baby and don't take your eye off it for more than a couple seconds, it won't be in the pool swimming for 10 minutes before you come rescue her.

  • @juicesnn4e its a good thing to teach your kid still. plus even if the baby never falls in water at least its got a head start in its swimming skills.

  • Next Lesson: Parachute improvisation with a nappy and Firearm Safety.

  • The idea of teaching a baby how to survive is excellent. But I agree with imsamityB, watching the video with the baby crying is so sickening. Why would any parent purposely do this to their child. You want to prove a point? Then do so, by simulating how ISR can help a child...poor baby. I just want to jump in and help him.

  • @Katyuska88 Then how do you know your baby will be able to do it for more than a minute if you don't teach him and give him the stamina to do so? It's not cruel, it's giving him or her the tools to survive. It's not just about turning your back on your baby or not supervising it enough. It's about falling and hitting your head while you're in the pool with your child, and making SURE that they can float until they are rescued. They won't learn if you come at first cry...

  • @Tacha1987 What do you think would happen if this weren't a simulation and the child fell in? He would have to float calmly while calling out until rescued. The baby has to know how to react in a situation like that. There are far more "awful" things people do (or don't do) to their children then teach them how to survive and practice what they'd learned, in my opinion.

  • A couple people here OBVIOUSLY DONT have children. It takes a SECOND for your child to "disappear". This does not make you a bad parent. EVERY parent does it! If somebody says their eyes are watching their child every second of every day they obviously dont know what the definition of a "second" is. I would rather see my child crying while floating on top of the water rather than not crying at the bottom of the water.

  • great skill to teach a baby although watching the child sit there and float crying for help seriously disturbs me. How necessary was it really to have the baby waiting there and crying for so long? I can only imagine how terrified he or she felt waiting for help, and I the hysterics that were witnessed after the camera conveniently stopped rolling an instant after the man picked him up.

If you'd been a little more ethical with your treatment of this baby, I'd be more inclined to like your idea

  • @InsamityB Then how do you know your baby will be able to do it for more than a minute if you don't teach him and give him the stamina to do so? It's not cruel, it's giving him or her the tools to survive. It's not just about turning your back on your baby or not supervising it enough. It's about falling and hitting your head while you're in the pool with your child, and making SURE that they can float until they are rescued. They won't learn if you come at first cry...

  • Ravenlord You are ignorant! Children die needlessly everyday due to drowning. Obviously you are not a parent because if you were you would know that children can get out of your sight just for the moment that it takes them to drown! You have to pee sometime!

  • I would like to add that this class benefits your child in many other ways. They gain knowledge of the water, learn respect for it,understand how their bodies work with the water, are able to rest safely on their backs in a float if they ever get tired of swimming. Many children when playing in the pool will over do it and often sink, this is an alternative for them. I have posted some video of my 3 yr old who mastered ISR and is now learning snorkeling. Go check it out.

  • For the benefit of other parents considering this class. This is in no way a replacement for always having a watchful eye on your children. I understand like many other parents that accidents happen no matter how careful we try to be. You could leave your child with a sitter or relative and something could happen there. Its never a bad thing to be prepared and to educate your children from an early age.

  • This video is impressive and shocking... OMG it made me cry!

  • My children have taken this class. It works. They both can float and swim to the side to save themselves. Its not abuse at all. Its empowering them with information. That is our job as parents.

  • actually it's your job as a parent to watch your child at all times and be a PARENT!Taking your child to these classes is basically saying "i like to wander off and talk on the phone a lot so i know there is a good chance my baby could die in many ways,so i will take him/her to as many classes as possible so they are prepared for my incompetence".You bored housewives find the most amazing ways to waste your husbands money, spend it on parenting classes instead and leave the kid out of it =)

  • What good parent would spend money and the extreme amount of time it takes to educate their children in case of an accident would at the same time just turn and be on the phone while a open body of water is available. Your comment is obviously out of ignorance. I hope you learn before you become a parent.

  • Actually your comment is out of ignorance. If you are a good parent you understand that there is no such thing as an accident of this magnitude. If your child has the time to get out of your house find their way to the pool and drown, then they are clearly unsupervised for large amounts of time and the fault lies with the parent being negligent, not the child being "untrained"

  • Oh yes because millions of drownings across the world each year is just out of negligence. Give me a break. Your just one of those people who likes to pop on these things and argue about things you know nothing about.

  • I can see that you are incapable of intelligent thought or constructive argument so i will simplify my way of reasoning with you so you might understand and benefit from our little chat.If your fucking child manages to get out of his/her undersized crib then open an unlocked door leading to your non childproof pool and have the time required to drown...you are a terrible failure of a parent.spend thousands training a baby to swim...or keep an eye on them and maybe lock a fucking door or two....

  • @ravenlord47 What about if you're playing with your baby, in the pool. Supervising the baby, having fun, and all of a sudden, you lose your footing and hit your head. You pass out, and your baby, your sweet, innocent baby is all alone in the water. Wouldn't you want the baby to be able to float and be safe until rescue comes?

  • @toukie1310 I'dwant the baby to die. Coz thats what gets me off. love it when babies drown. Fuck Yeah!

  • @pOtm651 ... I found it hard, but I was even able to masterbate to the COMMENT to this video. What the fuck is wrong with me?

  • ronahshouse you are a moron, this is amazing that they are teaching children survival skills in water....and you can "baby proof" your house all you want, but children can get into ANYTHING

  • THIS VIDEO IS CHILD ABUSE

  • Hee, at 1:30 it sounds like he's saying, "I can't swim!" :D

  • You people are extremely retarded. Your child could drown when you're not there. Like when they are at a baby sitters house or in their presence or at grandma and granddads house. You can't keep them away from water their entire life so why talk smack about a technique that teaches them to survive???

  • that nuts how the baby noes when to stop kicking about and just stay still and cry O_O

  • O.O wow

  • How about watch your kid instead of this??? This is a sick thing to do to a child and not normal for a parent to do that at all. How can you watch your child fall into a pool and yell for help???? How can you videotape that???? These people are sick. The solution is as simple as childproofing your home and yard. I hope social services takes that poor boy away from those people.

  • Would you rather you child fall into a pool by accident without you there and drown or learn this and increse tremendously the chances of someone saving them? Idiot. They did this because they trusted what they paid their money for.

  • Comment removed

  • So you're saying that parents who have lost their children to drowning meant to leave them unsupervised? It's called accicents. It doesn't matter where they are. The point is it can happen even when you think not to you. Would you rather have your child know something like this or not at all? I actually feel sorry for your kids. You would rob your child of survival BC you think it's cruel to watch them fall into a pool. It's more cruel when you see one lying face down not breathing.

  • Comment removed

  • As for name calling I don't think it's a bad thing when it describes the words coming out of a person's mouth. Maybe I should view your recent comments and see if there is no name calling.

  • Comment removed

  • Fuck yeah, windows movie maker!

  • babies can swim almost immediately.

I hope they also teach them to move forward and not just float there.

Most kids who drown do so because they get their head stuck in buckets half full of water not from pools.

Still a good program though it seems.

  • Easy solution: Don't have a fucking pool in your backyard you rich fucks.

  • Easier solution shut your idiotic mouth. When you child drowns because they didnt know something like this come back and give your opinion then.

  • You seem like a very angry person. I'll take the high road and simply say: Less youtube and more parenting. Way to show your Christianity.

  • Telling you you're robbing you child of survival is against christianity. There is absolutely nothing wrong with calling someone idiotic. IF you go to Obama's from gate and say assasinate him that would be an idiotic thing to do would it not? So is speaking against something that could and I'm sure has saved lives. There is no high road bc we are not arguing. Stop acting like you're holy bc based on the words coming from your mouth regarding this video you are far from it.

  • This video and this program are both full of awesome.

  • They pushed that baby in didn't they!?

  • are you retarded? this is a program that saves babies' lives... teaching them how to float and not drown in a pool.

  • This is really nothing new. It has been around for years. Babies develop in a liquid environment. The sooner you reintroduce them to that environment the better they respond and the more natural to them it feels.

  • the babies face at the end is like, "FUK YAAA!"

  • I'm enrolling my daughter ASAP after seeing this!!!

  • Buenísimo!!!

Con educación podemos permitir que los niños se sientan libres! y sin riesgos graves!

    Muy bueno.

    Gracias

  • Unbelievable.

  • i wish i could float like that kid, man i just sink like a frikn stone!

  • All three of my kids have done ISR. My youngest is 13 months and is doing it now. It certainly is not a substitute for a locked fence around the pool, but things happen. And most parents would realize within a short time period that a young child is missing and would check the pool first.

  • god, those americans sure love abbrevations.

  • Nice. All of my children will learn to do this for sure. When I decide to have kids...

  • I wouldnt trust someone caring for my toddler who couldn't spell breathe correctly

    1:47

  • Making a typo makes you incapable of caring for a child? Wow... ("Wouldn't" includes an apostrophe, by the way.)

  • I agree 100%

    This is barbaric

  • They spelled "breath" which is a word that exists. I'm not american and even I know that. You surely need to learn some serious english pal.

  • its not a verb

  • Duh. So it's spelled right

  • its obviously a misspelling of the word. omitting a letter counts as misspelling. the word breath does not make sense there. QED

  • That kid floats like masa-crusted mahi mahi on hot oil. Perhaps this is why some of its links show in the stats for my fish taco video.

    Not drowning is rad!

  • ElizabethT45, wouldn't it make sense to both teach the kid to float and swim AND have a locked, gated fence around the pool?

Just in case, I dunno, somebody leaves the gate open or a young child manages to squeeze through or climb the fence?

  • I appreciate the idea of teaching babies to float, but in a real world situation, who knows how long it could be before an adult would figure out that the baby is in the pool? This can't be a substitute for putting a locked, gated fence around a backyard pool, can it?

  • This trainign absolutely should NOT be a substitute for supervision and safety precautions. ISR Instructors everywhere agree with you. :)

  • No, I just have a nephew whom I care for very much and the thought of him falling into water gives me the shudders.

If having human emotion and concern makes me a pussy then I'm fine with that.

  • Idiot

  • FACT #1

One more thing...kids do what the like.

    FACT #2

They teach them these techniques using "real world" scenarios (fully clothed)

    THEORY

I wonder how you get your kids NOT to jump in (fully clothed) every pool or water fountain they see as entertainment.

    SOLUTION

Everytime you go to the mall, please bring an extra set of clothes and a pair of shoes.
