This is so much better than having a celebrity or some contest winner sing a national anthem. This is pure pride and unifying power in a crowd of people.
everytime I go to a Thrashers game (or to any hockey game for that matter) and when i wear one or both the anthems, I sing them both with a much pride as I can cuz im proud of my country and my neighbors.....it kinda bothers me when I hear the American Anthem you can hear a pin drop....it's kinda disheartening that no one else feels the same way. I kinda get dirty looks when I do that but i don't care! haha!
i used to live in canada..from when i was born till i was 7. wow, i can hardly remember it now, even though it was like, half of my life. i want to move back when i grow up...such a great place to live.
I'm American, but my Canadian friend told me I was an "honorary Canadian." haha. I get strange looks when I belt out both anthems when the Pens play Canadian teams...or @ playoff games. *shrugs* Absolutely beautiful anthem. And, I wish I could go to an arena that sings their nation's anthem like this. God Bless Canada. ;)

oiler fans are amazing. even though msg is one of the loudest arenas in the u.s. to go to it still doesnt compare to edmonton. i just wish you guys would have won the cup.
no stadium or arena in america would be that loud in any sport. brazil might tho...they are crazy for football. i think on the news they said the loudest it got during the anthem was 137D
